The next day Ronnie drove Jayne to the university. Katherine Bradford who was entering saw Jayne walking inside. Her frustration immediately kicked in. She stomped her foot and gritted her teeth in anger.

Jayne who was totally unaware of all this, walked inside the auditorium. She found Adam Clive already practising a dance performance. She waved her hands at him. "h.e.l.lo Adam!"

Adam Clive waved back and strode across the auditorium towards Jayne.

Katherine Bradford who was strutting right behind her, noticed her boyfriend's and Jayne's interaction. Her temper sparked and sprang to life. She walked over and protectively wrapped her arms around Adam Clive like she was staking a claim over him, "h.e.l.lo baby! Why didn't you come home last night? I was waiting for you."

Jayne felt a little awkward. She wanted to walk away.

Just then Adam Clive called out, "Hey Jayne Roy! Let me introduce you to my girlfriend. She's Katherine Bradford."

Jayne held out her hand and greeted her, "h.e.l.lo!" with her breathtaking smile.

Adam Clive got lost in it each time he looked at her.

Katherine Bradford didn't bother to shake hands with Jayne. She simply said 'h.e.l.lo!'

Jayne drew back her extended hands and was about to excuse herself. 'Why is she being so weird? If I'm not wrong, this is the first ever time I'm meeting her. What's wrong with her?' Jayne was confused.

Little did she know the effect her presence had caused to Katherine Bradford.

Just then Adam Clive opened his mouth to speak, "Kate, you please sit and make yourself comfortable baby. I've a practise session with Jayne Roy."

By then Jayne interrupted, "Oh yeah Adam! That's the reason I came looking for you. Actually I won't be able to do the duet performance with you. I'll talk to Mrs Jessica Parker about it."

Katherine Bradford was celebrating inwardly, 'That's an intelligent move Jayne. Without even me attacking, you accepted defeat!' She smirked.

Before Adam Clive could recover from what Jayne just said, Katherine Bradford spoke, "Well, good for you then, you can leave now!"

Jayne didn't bother much. She just left and went in search of Mrs Jessica Parker.

Adam Clive pulled away from Katherine Bradford and darted away in the direction of Jayne.

Katherine Bradford kept calling, "Adam! Adam! Adam! Wait!"

But Adam Clive didn't stop. As soon as he reached Jayne, he took her hands.

Jayne frowned. She quickly drew her hands away. "What's wrong Adam?"

"Jayne, what's wrong? Why aren't you dancing with me? Do you've a problem? Girls desperately wait for a chance to dance with me. In that case, how could you reject me just like that?" Adam Clive demanded an answer.

"Adam, why do you think I owe you an explanation? As I was chosen to be your partner, I only informed you out of courtesy. But you can't force me out here!" Jayne told matter-of-factly.

"And when you've girls desperately waiting for you, please go choose any of them." Jayne retorted.

"Haha, are you by any chance jealous that I've too many girlfriends?" Adam Clive asked.

Jayne didn't know whether she'd to laugh or cry? "Adam Clive, you are simply thinking too much! Jealous and me?" she let out a mocking laughter and walked towards Mrs Jessica Parker's cabin.

'This Adam and his girlfriend are so weird. I hardly spoke to him once yesterday!  Why would I feel jealous? And for what?' She thought inwardly.

On the other side, Katherine Bradford couldn't believe her own eyes. "Adam! You ignored me for her? What did that b**** do to you?" She bit her lips so hard that it literally bled, she failed to keep up her 'G.o.ddess of the university' image.

Her friends Ella and Emma Dalton hid themselves in a corner. They were fully aware of the consequences if they'd try to speak to Katherine Bradford now.

Adam walked back to the auditorium totally dejected.

Katherine Bradford immediately regained her composure, she adjusted her hair, smoothed down her skirt and walked up to Adam provocatively with her chest out.

She was shocked when Adam Clive didn't pay any attention to her. She was boiling with anger on being ignored again and again, yet she swallowed down her frustration and spoke to him seductively with a honeyed voice, "Baby, it's good that she dropped. See, even G.o.d couldn't bear to see her interfere between us. We both can happily be dance partners. As always, we'll be the best pair! Now let's go home." She ran her hands down his pants.

After they went back to Katherine Bradford's mansion, Adam Clive didn't do his usual love making. Instead, he was very rough on her, making the entire session very painful leaving bruises and bite marks with even blood all over Katherine Bradford's body. She was so tired that she pa.s.sed out!  

Adam Clive got up, put on his dress and left to the nearest pub! He drank all night. He'd just one thing on his mind, "How could you ignore me Jayne Roy? I'll have you by hook or by crook! There's no way you can escape from me!" His resentment festered in him.
