She thought about the whole process to check what was wrong. First, the incidence that happened at the ceremony was quite usual. Could this incidence be a mistake made by her misdemeanor? But she was confident with herself. She couldn't make a mistake in this great ceremony.

Concerning the shape of the black air, it was in the shape of a dragon, which was representing the Emperor. So did the dragon tell her the Emperor was not the right person? But the shape of the dragon was weird, so it couldn't refer to the current Emperor.

Then, was this pointing at some special problem that someone would take the throne from the Emperor? Or would there be a murder? Bai Yao's heart turned heavy. If yes, who dared to do this?

She thought of two potential options; one was Mo Xi and the other was Mo Kai.

Mo Xi? She shook her head. Mo Xi was not someone who looked like that.

How about Mo Kai? Mo Kai wouldn't do that for sure.

If it was someone hiding in the dark area, the situation would be more complicated.

If the Emperor was in danger, the whole country was in danger. How could she change this?

Bai Yao rubbed her head, having no idea of what she could do. Finally, she gave up.

When she lifted up her head, she found herself already in the back garden. She heard that the flowers in the back garden were the most beautiful plants in the world. Why not enjoy the great scenery first?

She turned to look at the flowers. They were really different from the normal flowers outside. The colorful flowers made her mood better. Bai Yao stepped into the world of beautiful flowers and forgot everything that had just happened.

She didn't even notice that someone was coming closer.

"Everybody come to light up my way. It is so dark here. Do you want to see me fall?!" A young voice sounded in the open s.p.a.ce.

Bai Yao was woken up by her and turned to look at her. This young women was wearing pretty, elegant adornments with a luxurious dress. She had so many hair accessories that Bai Yao was worried about her slim neck. But soon she found that the woman was so used to this and she could even walk quicker than she with arrogance. She must be someone special.

"Ahh!" The woman suddenly found Bai Yao and was frightened by her. "Are you a ghost or a woman? Everyone, come protect me!"

"Who are you? Dare you frighten our imperial concubine? Do you know who she is? If she gets ill from you, can you afford the result?" A little maid began to rebuke Bai Yao.

Imperial concubine? Bai Yao frowned. She had heard of a Concubine called Xu who recently enjoyed the favor of the Emperor, so it must be her.

But she was bored with the maid's speaking. "Could your concubine be so weak?" she murmured to herself.

"What are you saying secretly?"

"Nothing. I didn't say a word." Bai Yao waved her hands. How could she be so foolish?

"Who are you? Why are you here?"

"I was invited to the banquet. I heard the flowers in the back garden are more special than the outside, so I came to take a look." She answered the concubine without any expression.

"You do not look like a good person. Tell me your real purpose of entering the palace!" Concubine Xu doubted without any reason.

Bai Yao almost wanted to roll her eyes at her. You are not like a good concubine, either.

This was in the palace, which was heavily guarded. How could some outsider come in so easy? Do you think all the guards are useless? Bai Yao began to think about a way to escape. She pretended to be a weak and soft young lady. "This pretty sister, do you really think I am a bad person?"

Concubine Xu looked around, and finally, she nodded and asked of the servants, "Take her to the Ministry of Punishments and Supreme Court. Let them administer a penalty on her tomorrow."

"What?! Hey, release me." Bai Yao began to struggle. But how could she escape from the men's arms? She sighed and became obedient.

"What's wrong?" a voice came, with the master of it following.

After the banquet, Mo Kai could not find Bai Yao anywhere, so he came to search for her. But he only thought that she was lost somewhere instead of being arrested.

Bai Yao was so happy to see the man was Mo Kai. But her situation was so awkward, so she explained in a low voice, "I came to see the flowers, but this concubine mistook me as a thief. Please explain for me, Second Prince."

"Concubine?" Mo Kai was confused.

Concubine Xu found the newcomer was Mo Kai, and it looked like the two had a good relations.h.i.+p. She looked fearful and saluted Mo Kai. "Greetings, Second Prince."  

"What made you so bold? Do you know who she is?" Mo Kai questioned the concubine coldly.

"I . . .  Who is she?" Concubine Xu took a secret look at him. Mo Kai was always so frosty to everybody, and she usually dared not speak to him.

Now she understood that she had caught the wrong person, so she hinted to the servants with her eyes to let Bai Yao go.

Bai Yao quickly walked back to Mo Kai. Mo Kai then spoke to Concubine Xu, saying, "Ignorant! Let's go." Then he led Bai Yao to leave, without taking a look at this woman.

Concubine Xu stamped her feet with anger. She hated the Second Prince who had not protected her dignity.

On the other side, Bai Yao and Mo Kai were walking together quietly. They suddenly wanted to break the silence at the same time. Then both laughed. Mo Kai had no words to say this moment. Neither did Bai Yao. They both looked at each other and smiled. This tacit understanding was not something to speak aloud.
