It was in the morning when Will woke up.

The first thing he saw when he woke up was an elderly woman sitting in an old chair watching him.

She kept watching him with glittering eyes as she mended a tear on her clothes, next to the tear she was mending there were several patches scattered about.

She was wearing grey robes covered in countless patches, by her appearance alone, Will could tell she was living in poverty, at least as far as he knows.

This could be the state of the world he is currently in, or he could just be in a small isolated place.

He secretly hoped that he was in an isolated place, and not in a poverty stricken world.

Noticing that Will has awoken, the elderly woman quickly sat up as the sounds of stiff bones popping echoed throughout the room.

Tying the string she was using to mend her clothes, she quickly approached Will, much faster than one would think her old body could move.

Before Will could even be startled the elderly woman already started to fire off one question after the other.

"Hwo aer oyu? Wrhee ddi oyu cmeo rfmo?"

Pointing at herself she spoke, "Ym nmae si Elizabeth"

Hearing the gibberish coming out of her mouth, he was shocked, but he quickly calmed down.

He was in another world after all, it makes sense for the language to be different.

Getting up, he realized he was only wearing a pair of rough cloth pants, in shock he looked at Elizabeth, who looked at him as she grinned.

Blus.h.i.+ng, Will looked at Elizabeth, "Elizabeth"

He said her name as he pointed at his mouth, and her ears, then her mouth and his ears and shook his head.

She seemed to understand as her eyes lost some of their previous excitement, Will noticed this and went to a patch of dirt outside the doorway.

He started to draw.

Watching, Elizabeth's face lit up with even more excitement.

What Will drew was two circles, and a thunderbolt like circle, that appeared to be a mouth between the circles.

He pointed at one circle and pointed at his surroundings, as he gave a sad look and shook his head, then he pointed at the other circle and let out a happy smile.

Then he pointed to the mouth, and made a frightened look as he made a gesture of being swallowed and spit out in the first circle.

Someone from his original world would have looked at him like he was crazy, but Elizabeth understood him perfectly.

She already examined his body when she picked him up, not only does his body lack the energy channels necessary to use this worlds power.

The power of this world leaves his body even quicker than it enters, which means he is rejected by this world.

Since he is alive, and considering the other points, he is obviously from another world.

If the heavens reject you, you wouldn't be born in the first place, you would die in the womb, so coming from another world is the only option.

She shook her head at Will as she sighed, 'Poor child, why did he have to come to this world? He can't hide his situation from anyone, just a glance is enough for a pract.i.tioner to tell he is rejected by the heavens, then they would try to kill him without hesitation, he isn't accepted by the heavens, which means he doesn't belong here, and the underworld is where he belongs'

She dragged Will back into her home as he struggled to get out of her grip, tossing him back on the bed, she gestured for him to stay there as she left.

Leaving, she had a disappointed look on her face, "Just like the body destroys a sickness, the heavens will fight him to the death. This means I can't have him become my grandson in law, because all those who a.s.sociate with the rejected, will face the wrath of the heavens"

In this world, people coming from other worlds isn't unheard of, although it's rare, there are cases of it happening a couple times every thousand years or so. Since the first otherworlder appeared, the natives of this world have recorded everything.

Three rejected have came from other worlds in the course of history, two were killed by the natives, and the last one was destroyed by the heavens.

The heavens reject the rejected for one reason, they aren't bound by the rules of the heavens of this world.

Since they can't be controlled by the heavens, the heavens will destroy them instead, all the pract.i.tioners of this world consider the rejected as demons.

Demons that need to be eradicated on sight.

Will watched Elizabeth leave with a confused look on his face, he had no clue what she was saying.

The only thing he could get from anything she said was her name, and even that was a little hard to understand.

Looking at the small room he was in, he decided it's best to stay in until he learns the language.

Will sat on his bed as he decided to try to make a potion, since he had no ingredients he had to use ma.s.sive amounts of energy.

Learning enhancement? Physique amplifier?

He couldn't decide what to make, but considering his situation, he decided to try to make a Learning Enhancement potion.

Focusing on the functions of memory, memory recall, and comprehension; he started to imagine the effects of the potion as ma.s.sive amounts of energy flowed into his body.

Putting out a palm, he focused on the shape of a gla.s.s vial as energy flowed into the center of his palm forming a gla.s.s vial.

Several minutes pa.s.sed as a bluish liquid started to slowly fill up the vial, emitting a light glow.

The effects he imagined were an enhancement of three times.

It takes you nine days to learn this? Well, give me two days and I'll have it learned!

"Hahaha! F*ck yeah!"

Will was filled with excitement as he looked at the potion, thinking for a few minutes, he decided to take it right there.

Checking the door to make sure no one was there, Will downed the potion in one go.

As he finished drinking the potion, a wave of dizziness washed over his body as he fainted.

Without using a physical ingredient, he has to use ma.s.sive amounts of mental energy to successfully make a potion out of pure energy.

Will fell forward as he fainted, falling off the bed and landing headfirst onto the ground, knocking him even further unconscious.
