In front of him he could see a ma.s.sive forest filled with ancient trees, he could finally leave the gra.s.sy plains.

Putting his ability to the side, he decided it would be better to first head into the forest, especially since he needed to acquire food.

He wasn't going to eat gra.s.s after all.

When he finally stepped into the forest, he was. .h.i.t with a variety of scents.

He could feel that the amount of energy increased drastically when he went into the forest, his mind was clearer than it has ever been.

Looking at the ma.s.sive trees surrounding him as he went deeper and deeper into the forest, he was struck with awe.

The smallest tree could be circled by at least 10 adults holding hands, the rest was beyond comprehension.

Considering the ma.s.sive trees, the canopy above, was obviously very thick, only a few golden beams could pierce through.

Stepping over ma.s.sive twisting roots, Will was looking for any signs of human activity, but all he could see was countless trees as the undergrowth started to grow denser the deeper he went.

"This is strange, isn't the undergrowth supposed to lack with the decrease in sunlight?"

Taking a deep breath, he could tell the energy was getting denser, "Maybe that's why?"

"It's the third day!"

Cutting through the undergrowth with a sharpened stick, Will cursed at the sky, "What kind of sh*tty place is this!?"

After resting for an hour..

Will frantically cut through the undergrowth as the muscles on his face twitched, "I have had to eat fruit and nuts the whole d*mn time! I want meat! MEAT!"

Will was very agitated, in the ever increasing plant life, he couldn't find even the slightest trace of an animal.

He hasn't even ran into a single mosquito!

This was madness!

Lost in the need to get out of the middle of nowhere, Will completely forgot about his ability.

Three months pa.s.sed.

In a small village in the depths of an ancient forest with a population of a mere three hundred, an elderly woman was was.h.i.+ng clothes at a stream, while her grandson was splas.h.i.+ng in the water.

For them, the day was going just like any other, wake up, eat, do ch.o.r.es, eat, then sleep.

This village was secluded, and as such, they haven't had any visitors for the past century or so, and since this area of the forest was devoid of any predators, they had an easy time living.

This day, the whole village had no idea that this was their last day living normally, as there was going to be a twist of fate.

Snap!

The sound of a twig snapping sounded out from the other side of the stream, accompanied by the shuffling of footsteps.

The elderly woman went on guard as she grabbed her grandson, her hand emitting a faint scarlet light as she looked at the other side of the stream.

The sound wasn't the sound that the wildlife she knew would make.

They started to slowly back away from the stream, as they saw a figure of a man stumble out of the undergrowth.

Twigs sticking out of his hair, and body matted with dirt and ragged clothes, Will burst out of the undergrowth.

Seeing that it was a person the two people relaxed, as the elderly woman was about to say something, she stopped.

Mumbling nonsense Will fell face first into the stream.

The elderly woman was dumbfounded, she stood up as the scarlet light faded from her hand, shaking her head, a look of confusion and excitement appeared in her eyes.

"What to do?"

She looked at Will as she pulled him out of the water without any struggle, tossing him to the ground like a wet rag!

Looking at will, her eyes shone.

"A young man with a healthy body, fresh blood!"

Slinging Will over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes, the elderly woman called her grandson to leave, while leaving she couldn't help but let out mumbles of excitement.

"I wonder if I should match him up with my granddaughter? Maybe my niece? I wonder what my husband would think of him being our grandson in law?"

Thus, she carried the unconscious Will to the village as she decided his future for him…

(AN: Can this be considered kidnapping? O.o)
