Hot blood immediately covered his hand when Bixing Lu touched Jingheng Lin's back. He lifted his hand in panic, supporting the other's body with stiff shoulder. His legs were shaking.

The emergency transfer tore the wound seriousl. Jingheng Lin's vision was nearly blacked out. but his consciousness was still tightly adhered to the mental network.

He kept silent for a while to gather enough strength, then spoke quietly: "I won't die, lift me up."

The same spine trauma would generally cause upper body paralysis in the Ancient Era. Jingheng Lin lost control of his limbs for a while. His body continued to slip down, his jaw fell on Bixing Lu's shoulder, his nose brushed the other's neck, his weak voice was drowned in short and shallow breaths.

Bixing Lu: "What did you say?"

"Nothing. Treat it as...as compensation."

The final sentence was clear enough to be heard. Bixing Lu froze. Then the flame of anger bursted in his chest. He wanted to say some vulgar words. Unfortunately, as a professor for quite a long time, he had tried to pretend to be a gentleman, hence, this language module was already degraded. He was distracted for a while that he couldn't even choose an appropriate word to reply.

When the previous jump happened, all four students, having already injected special medicine, stayed in the nursing cabin, so they didn't experience the pleasure of stirring internal organs at that time. Now, they finally experienced a "naked jump" that couldn't be guarded against. Nearly all of them fainted off. Rickhead, who got the best physical quality, struggled to crawl to the bin placed at the corner and vomited.

But this time, no one took care of them.

The Juvenile Protection Law was established by the Union. Since the Union nearly dissolved, it's not enough for juveniles to rely only on an illusory legislation in order to survive in the barren and endless universe.

The portable first aid cabin had slid over from the medical room. Monoeye Hawk was approaching, bending to take a look at Jingheng Lin.

Cold sweat soaked Jingheng Lin's eyelashes, as if there was a layer of water. Those eyes under the layer were full of mist, unable to see clearly.

Monoeye Hawk had to admit that though this pillar of the Military Committee of the IU was a jerk, he still kept his words to guarantee the safety of Bixing Lu, the tiger tally in human shape, even risking his own life. The munitions merchant felt very complex - normally, when the secret that had been kept for more than twenty years was uncovered, he should have killed him. Now, looking at Jingheng Lin, he wished the car door could have torn this man into two parts and settled everything down.

However, he was also well aware that Jingheng Lin could not die at this critical moment.

"The medicine boxes are not enough, you heard me,"Monoeye Hawk said,"There are only a few left from the beginning. We have to save them - how many do you need? Just say it."

To save energy, Jingheng Lin didn't open his mouth. He directly controlled the broadcasting in the mech through the mental network, asking with a mechanical voice:"How many do we have?"

"Microsurgical instruments are barely enough, as to traumatic medicines - the healing agents have almost run out.

"Anaesthetize locally, just to connect my broken bones and nerves. No healing agents, just suture the wounds."

Bixing Lu had tried his best to avoid his wounds, however, Monoeye Hawk was not that a gentle of a man - after the patient had given the instruction, he pulled Jingheng Lin away from his irresolute son immediately, throwing him into the first aid cabin. He quickly set up the first aid protocol and asked: "Plasma, combination antibiotics and painkillers ... Oh, we only have a few painkillers, and antibiotics have almost run out."

Jingheng Lin answered succinctly: "No need for them."

Bixing Lu stretched out his hand to stop it: "The h.e.l.l you don't. You can't!"

Monoeye Hawk caught his wrist, looking at him with his colorful eyes, sharply like a hawk: "He really cherishes his own life. These days, people who want to kill him can form a queue from here to Wotto. I am quite sure that Commodore Lin being still alive was not just because of his appearance. Isn't it?"

The first aid cabin moved towards to the medical room smoothly. Jingheng Lin closed his eyes, lifting the corners of his lips coldly:" I'm flattered."

Monoeye Hawk made a concession to Bixing Lu, asking nicely:"You don't even trust your dad?"

"Do me a favor and stop messing around please." Bixing Lu shook him away and showed his position by his action - following after the first aid cabin.

"..." Monoeye Hawk.

There was a long-standing problem: if your dad and this gigolo fell in the water at the same time, who would you rescue first?

Old Persian cat didn't want to know the answer now.

He yelled in anger: "If this disaster just die in this way, it just shows that he is not that useful as it is said. There is no need to pity his death - do you need to give me the mental network?"

Jingheng Lin just ignored him.

Zhanlu answered for his master: "He is not used to this."

"Oh right, even when he falls asleep, he still keeps an eye on the surrounding. As the most famous one in Wotto who has a persecution mania, he even makes a name for himself in this remote Eighth Galaxy." Monoeye Hawk sneered, and turned around to take a look at those students who could only stand up by leaning on walls. "Look at those poor kids, just getting through family broken up overnight and leaving nothing to lose - don't worry, you will soon get used to things like these. The one who lives longer is the winner. Now, get yourself some sleep. Long journey needs a stable bioclock. The mech is going to switch to the day and night mode. Since someone is willing to fulfill his duty, I can just have a good sleep - I need to save my energy to cut that d.a.m.n iron head off and feed my dog with it."

When he had just finished, Jingheng Lin, who had been sent into the medical room already seemed to hear him - the light in the mech began to dim, leaving only notable lights on the machines and steps ... and the fluorescent gra.s.s which was planted by headmaster Lu.

The artificial curtain of darkness came down.

This small-sized mech had two floors, along the edge was a line of narrow stairs which led to the second floor - there was a row of small rooms in which the commodities were still in original package, with no signs of life.

Monoeye Hawk kept his word. He went into the innermost room straightly, shut the door and went to sleep.

Bixing Lu wandered restlessly in front of the medical room, lowering his head and watching his bloodstained hands dully.

White called him in a cautious voice: "Mr..."

Bixing Lu was thrilled, as if he just got his mind back. After he realized that there were still some little burdens, he adjusted his face immediately to pretend that he was calm: "Listen ... Um, listen to him and get some rest first. If you cannot fall asleep, two of you can share a room. Just think of them as boys' bedroom and girls' bedroom."

"How about you?" Jingshu Huang asked.

"I have to sort out the locations of the underground channels, we are far away from safety yet." Bixing paused, then became serious: "The extraterritorial pirates possess more biochemical methods than physical ones. I can't help worrying about having no antibiotics. Starting tomorrow, all of you will get into special training time. The time of this mech should be the Wotto Universal Time - daybreak at around five o'clock and dark at about nineteen o'clock. During the fourteen hours of daylight, we will take seven hours to train, including stamina, weightlessness, adaptability of transfer - there will be no more nursing cabin for you to stay in."

What kind of qualities a man walking on s.p.a.ce needs, it was a strange concept for the four students who were still at a loss - fortunately. there was still a man who was willing to tell them what's the next step. The little hoodie boys and girls were unusually tame, going straight to the small rooms on the second floor together without any objections. Their dangerous getaway came to an end temporarily, leaving the mech quiet with 001 alone, who was in a vegetable state, strapped by an ecological electricity cable.

Bxing Lu sat under the fluorescent gra.s.s alone, opening his personal terminal. He tried to focus on, but the words and codes on the page seemed to generate some repulsive magnetic field, refusing to land on his retina.

He just stared at the page. Finally, twenty minutes later, he heard a repressed sobbing from upstairs.

In this artificial, quiet night, all tense nerves got to relax for a while, giving time for the whole cruel run of reflex arc - it's time for the darkness to become incarnate of swords and blades, breaking the frail amours they were busy building.

Bixing Lu listened carefully. Not knowing how long it took, those wispy sobbing went lower and lower, then ended in silence.

After more than ten hours of stressed state, those juveniles finally fell asleep with endless worry and horror.

There was a flickering electronic clock on the cabin door of mech, showing the Wotto Universal Time 20:30. Night should have fallen at where the IU Council was, while it was just his arrival time at Starry Sea Academy in Beijing planet.

Bixing Lu's personal terminal jumped out, where the agenda was showing, notifying him of his daily routines automatically.

His schedule was listed as: First, should have returned back to school and criticize four naughty kids by name (priority); second, make use of this rule breaking, revising the second edition of school regulations; third, mid-week spot check of the thesis papers(bet those kids have not started yet), only for the thesis arguments, the full paper was not yet required for the time being.

At the side, there was a line of small words written by himself - "Where did I think the future of mankind will go", isn't this subject a little broad? I will probably get a bunch of fantasy novels?

After the question mark, was a hand-drawn grimace.

Bixing Lu and his own grimace stared at each other for a while, then his shoulder finally dropped - he hugged his head with his own hands on the counter, his shoulders like two shaky mountains.

For today, the chicken soup for the soul of Mr. Lu was a fake chicken soup mixed with artificial MSG, which was just a variant that had a similar taste - once the pot cover was lifted, one would find that there was nothing but boiling water.

Home in Cayley planet, school with a dome worth of six million, and a lab which had just been built, five-years worth of effort ... He could not even think about all these things, or he could just give up on it.

But his recruitments had just been sent out. He just received two copies of resume as feedbacks to him, which were still left at his mailbox unopened.

His students had not been able to choose their departments yet. The thesis with a t.i.tle of unrestrained imagination had not been collected back yet. The blueprint that he had imagined heaps of times fell apart before it got a single line with it.

In the medical room, after finis.h.i.+ng the repairment of bones, nerves and muscle, microsurgical instruments got out of the wounds one by one. Following Jingheng Lin's instructions, they simply sutured the wounds, spraying a layer of common disinfection spray. Jingheng Lin tried to move his limbs, feeling very inconvenient - Monoeye Hawk seized the chance to get even, setting the surgeon mode frenziedly. For only few amounts of anesthetic were used, his consciousness began to recover before the suture was finished. Without painkillers, pain started to pervade his whole body - Jingheng Lin seemed to drown in his cold sweat, frozen with blood loss.

Zhanlu who was beside him said. "You have a very high risk of getting infected. I suggest that you stay in the sterile medical room for 24 hours observation."

Jingheng Lin ignored his words: "Water."

After drinking off water with electrolytes, he moved his hands and legs with difficulty - the numbness had not pa.s.sed yet. Jingheng Lin tried to stand, but he staggered at the next second.

Zhanlu raised his hands to hold him: "Sir ..."

"Hush," Jingheng Lin berated him with a hoa.r.s.e voice, "Quiet, my head is aching."

"My volume setting is below the average. If you have a headache, it is probably because your body temperature is too high." Zhanlu answered scrupulously.

Jingheng Lin pushed his hands away, walking a few steps shakily. He forced himself to get used to this temporarily broken body, commanding Zhanlu: "Don't follow me."

He just walked out of the medical room, standing behind Bixing Lu quietly - the white noise for tranquilization resounding around the night mode mech silenced his gentle footsteps.

Jingheng Lin did not disturb him, sitting down softly. Through his sight which was still a little vague, he looked at that young man who shrank himself into a ball.

Perhaps it was the effect of anesthetic, Jingheng Lin had much to say, more to ask - he wanted to ask him: "You've grown up in Cayley planet. Were you happy? Has Monoeye Hawk ever mentioned Xin Lu and affairs of the Interstellar Union to you?"

"There is no similarity between you and Monoeye Hawk. How did he raise you up? And this odd aspiration to run a school, what do you think exactly? Is it influenced by your mother?"

"Why is the DNA of your brain and body different? What happened to you and your mother during the first five years in the Eighth Galaxy?"

"What do you like? And what do you dislike?"

"Do you have any wish? Is there anything that you ... want particularly, but that old Persian cat is too stingy to give you?"

"Do not cry ... Still want the Starry Sea Academy? One day I can build a new one for you, would you mind?"

Yet those words that just raised waves in his mind, through the mental network, dispersing among the endless stars like ripples on the surface of water - they did not land in anyone's ears.

Bixing Lu kept his position until the midnight until he was able to gather his messed-up emotion, He took a look at himself through the wine cabinet at first, ensuring that his eyes were not red and his hair was not messy, and that his face had not turned into a big oil field, that he still had a human appearance. Then he stood up, getting off his coat with blood. He was going to wash his face and start doing some works.

Unexpectedly, as he turned his head back, he found in surprise that the man who was supposed to rest in the first aid cabin was sitting quietly a few yards away from him. Instead of using healing agents, his whole body was covered with bandages and dared not lean against anything on his newly sewed-up back. He could only lean forward a little and fall asleep with his hand holding his head.

Bixing Lu held his breath unconsciously. A while later, he tiptoed next to him, squatted down with his hands on his knees, looking up to see Jingheng Lin's slightly down face.

The man had a picturesque face, with real and distinct eyes and eyebrows. He still frowned, and his bloodless but beautiful lips were a thin line, like an uncompromising king. His broad and smooth shoulders were full of bandage, only showing little skin from the edge.

Bixing Lu gazed at him for a while, reaching his hand out by some unconscious reason. When he got his mind back, he found that his fingers had almost touched Jingheng Lin's chin.

Bixing Lu was startled by himself, withdrawing his fingers embarra.s.sedly. Without noticing, his leg had gone numb from the too long squat, and he suddenly sat down on the floor at the next second.

His heartbeat suddenly sped up.
