Tracing back a few days ago, on a certain early summer morning of my first year in high school.
Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I looked around the entire cla.s.sroom. Almost all students already sitting on their own seat, as some students rus.h.i.+ng to their own in a fl.u.s.ter.
The round clock hanged on the wall above the platform already indicating that HR would start any moments now.
I return my sight back to the small screen of my handheld game console.
The heroine’s magic burned several rat-like monsters to ashes. The sound effects of blazing fire are being transmitted to my ear through the earphone.
As I check the battle result showed on the screen, tsk, I clicked my tongue reflexively.
How could an item that’s supposed to have more than 60% drop hasn’t dropped even once?! Even though I’ve beaten twenty of these small fries, in hope I could get one?!
Though it isn’t part of the main story, it’s a sub-quest that’ll reward me if I brought the said item. While there’s the option to ignore it and advance through, I’d feel like I lose and it’s vexing if I pick that option.
Long story short, I, s.h.i.+do Yos.h.i.+ya, have a bad luck.
Even if it were raised from 60% drop to 90% drop with the game’s protagonist’s luck status enhanced by magic and skill, my ‘real luck’ wouldn’t enhanced too; in fact it’ll reduce the percentage to sweet -10% drop.
There was even time when I wanna check my parameter using status screen of my own. Dammit!
As I feel a little dejected and let out a sigh, it then changes into a yawn. Last night, I was earnestly grinding another game, so the drowsiness has started to attack me.
Though the teach would come any moment, I’ll play just a little more bit. The next battle might drop the item I want. Naw, it will drop one!
I set the handheld game console’s volume to zero and unplug the earphone as I plunge the console into the desk-drawer. Homeroom? I can make do without one, not that there’ll be anything important. If it’s during cla.s.s, there’s a high possibility that my bad luck will lead me get seen and my console get confiscated. But, if it’s during homeroom, let’s pray that one or two battle won’t be matter.
And then, after the battle complete and the moment I feel dejected because it didn’t drop the item I craved for,
“My name is Yubisaka Anna. Pleased to meet you all.”
It was a gentle voice but clear enough to pull me back from game world to the real world, and made me raise my head.
T-Transfer student? No way, right. I was too absorbed in my game to notice…
On the platform, the transfer student was bowing as her long black hair swaying in the air.
Eh——
Overwhelmed by her figure, I gasp instinctively. Even my drowsiness was blown off somewhere.
Only within a few seconds she bows, everyone who see would have their heart captivated.
Her long black hair, lack of any wrinkle, was sparkling, reflecting the sunlight that s.h.i.+ne through the window.
Her white skin would even put snow in shame was beautiful.
Wrapped in a no-blazer summer uniform, you could tell at a glance that her proportion second to not even a gravure idol from magazines.
Although her almond eyes looked a little sharp, her facial features were far more graceful than any heroine from 3D Games I’ve ever played before.
And above everything else; be it her standing posture, composed voice, wording, and that smile of her after she bowed; everything was full of grace!
If heroine is exist in this world, that would be her.
Faced with her overwhelming presence, everyone in the cla.s.s leaked out a sigh. Of course, that goes for me too.
What a lovely girl!
I couldn’t take my eyes from her.
So perfect, it was so precise. To, uh, the image of an ideal heroine I’ve had in mind.
Naw, she could easily surpa.s.sed the ideal image I’ve had in mind, and took over of it in my heart within a flash.
My heart beating faster that it hurts.
My face gotten hotter and hotter.
As I was entranced by her that I likely forgot to breath, I let a painful sigh as I thought compared to the sub-quest I’m stuck right now, the difficulty of the quest “to get close with her” is far more higher.
