I Am Legend 19 Boss Fight 2

Power began to gush out from Ryth, making the surroundings to turn bright with dark green light, which lasted for a second. Soon after that, Ryth began to feel that his body had become lighter and more flexible. Ryth felt amazing.

Llyod shouted as he turned to taunt the boss.

{Battle Cry}!

"GAAAARG! DIE!"

The 'Taunted' text appeared above its head as it ran towards Llyod.

In the blink of an eye, it is already in front of Llyod.

Its attack patterns were so different with the three blades, compare to before. Llyod could barely be able to block all of its attacks. He sustained quite a damage here and there but fortunately, because of the heavy armor that he wore, he was able to endure the damages.

"Healers! Heal Llyod!" Ryth shouted out the instruction. "Archers! Attack it with all of your skills! Woodgard! Come with me! We will end this quickly!"

Woodgard nodded as he followed Ryth towards the boss.

Woodgard quickly used {Stealth} and appeared behind its back. He then used the skill {Backstab}.

Hill, who was several meters away from the boss, also used his skills {Skull Piercer} and {Power Shot}. These attacks. .h.i.t the boss, even though, his other skills couldn't even land on it.

This is probably because of the increased agility of the boss. It managed to avoid most of the arrows that were shot at him. And at the same time, it was battling with Llyod.

This also happened to the other archers' attacks. Although, they never stopped shooting at the boss, it still managed to avoid them because it was just too fast. Only few of their normal attacks managed to scratch it.

The damage from Llyod was indeed great. However, the effect from {Battle Cry} was slowly wearing off. The boss, that had regained some sanity, finally realized as to why it had difficulty battling with Llyod, turned its gaze towards the healers. It emitted great dark miasma from its body and quickly ran towards the healers.

The healers who was watching the boss, suddenly s.h.i.+vered in fright. The text 'Intimidated' appeared above their heads, indicating their current status. It seems like they could not move for 3 seconds.

Due to the effect of 'Intimidated', one of the healers could not move. But the boss had already appeared in front of it. It immediately jumped up and spin in midair.

Llyod and Hill was shocked at the speed of the boss. "c.r.a.p! It's too fast!" they exclaimed.

Woodgard bit his lower lip in frustration. It seems that the boss's speed was faster than him by a mere second.

The healer, who thought that he will meet his doom, closed his eyes in despair as he await for his death. However, suddenly…

"CLANG, CLANG, CLANG!"

The sounds of swords being repelled echoed throughout the room and the elf saw that their commander was blocking all of the boss's attacks with his two swords.

The elves' mouths dropped open in surprise. "Wait, what?? How was he able to match up to the boss speed??" they exclaimed as they watched Ryth and the boss exchanged attacks after attacks.

As he battles, Ryth could see where the boss' mana flows and ran at the same time.

Ryth kept up the pace, blocking while damaging the boss. He used the skill {Deflect} to help him increase the possibility of increased blocks. After that, he activated all of his skills.

{Cut}!

{Stab}!

{Whirlwind}!

"GAAAAGH!" the boss let out a screech as its HP fell at a visible speed.

The boss use its skill {Cut} as it shouted, "DIE!"

He could only blocked the other two attacks manually with his swords but the last one managed to hit him. One of the three swords' attack landed on Ryth's abdomen, leaving a mark on his armor.

Ryth could not managed to block the attack since he had already use {Deflect} to protect the healer. And additionally, the skill was still on cooldown.

He gritted his teeth in pain but endured it. Although, it could not penetrate through the armor defense but getting hit by it felt like being slammed by a Warhammer, rather than sliced by a sword.

He could feel that some of his ribs were broken. High orc's STR was indeed frightening. If the boss had a better weapon, Ryth probably have no chance against it and most likely die.

Ryth and the boss kept on exchanging attacks on each other. Ryth did managed to block some of its attack and tries to counter it. However, the boss still managed to avoid Ryth's counter and hit him with its own attacks.

All of the healers began to concentrate their healing on Ryth. His body glowed with a golden light, indicating that the healing skill was used on him. Although, the healing skill could not heal broken bones instantly, however, it still managed to lessen Ryth's pain.

"We have to end this quickly! The duration of my skill is short!" Ryth shouted. Woodgard, who has the fastest speed in the team, activated his skills to attack the boss' blind spot while the boss was busy attacking Ryth.

"GAARRGGH" the boss howled in pain as it gets paralyzed by Woodgard's skill. Thanks to [Vengeance] slow effect and [Ryuujin's Will] paralyzed attack.

Although the {Ryuujin's Will] couldn't paralyzed it, the effect downgraded to slow effect and [Vengeance} slow effect only could affect 15%. Nevertheless, that was enough to make Woodgard and Ryth beat his speed.

The boss' speed now had fallen to Woodgard's level, while Ryth could only caught up with the effect of {Beyond the Boundary}.

Ryth charged forward, jumped and activated his other skills in midair.

{Half Moon}!

With dual wielding and the STR boost, Ryth's {Half Moon} attack rose.

"GAAAARGH!!" the boss shouted as it tried blindly to use the {Stab} skill.

But Ryth managed rolled to the side, leaving only a scratch on his face. He immediately lifted both of his hands towards the boss and shouted.

{Stream of Light}!

Ryth moved in with light speed, slicing the boss 6 times. The total damage of {Stream of Light} was over 26.000! The STR boost really made Ryth's base attack raised a lot.

The boss HP gradually hit the 0 mark as its head flew in the air and its body fell to the ground. The miasma surrounding it slowly dissipated.

"WE WON!"

"YEAH! WE ACTUALLY DID IT! MR. MYRAD AND HIS TEAMMATES ARE AWESOME!"

The elves cheered in happiness. After a fierce battle, they finally won against a boss with miasma affecting it. And the best thing of them all was that there are no casualties at all! Even if some of them did sustained some damages, it was not a serious injury.

Ryth's breathing was heavy, as the {Beyond the Boundary} effect began to wore off. He felt he has no strength to stand up straight and fell to the floor.

The healers were out of mana as well. They too fell and sat on the floor while breathing heavily.

The archers let out a sigh of relief as their hands trembled with exhaustion and excitement.

"ARE YOU OKAY, MY LORD?" Llyod and Hill shouted in unison.

Woodgard walked to Ryth and asked, "Are you okay, Mr. Myrad?"

Ryth smiled as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Yeah, I'm fine... I just need to rest for awhile. I can't move my body… that was so tiring!"

Hill and Llyod heaved a sigh of relief, when they know that their lord was alright.

Llyod replied, "Yeah, okay then... we are kinda tired too."

"Just tell the healers to heal everyone once they have regained their mana back."

"Understood."

After some time, the healers finally regained their mana and each one of them immediately went to their injured teammate and heal them.

Although, they could not heal broken bones, they could only be able to heal outside injuries, just as they did with Ryth. Hence, Ryth's ribs were still broken.

Some of the healers who joined them in the journey were women. Their eyes lit up when they saw Ryth sitting down on the floor. Like a wolf that found its prey, they immediately ran over to offer him some help to bandage his abdomen, ignoring the other injured elves.

Woodgard winced in embarra.s.sment as he watched the petty fight the women have over bandaging Ryth. Some of the male elves also touched their forehead in embarra.s.sment, as they heaved a long breath. These women... the one who got injured was not only Mr. Myrad! Show us some attention too! They cried pitifully in their hearts.

Ignoring the attention he had gained, Ryth slowly stood up and said, "Alright, let me check the boss loot first."

"Ku ku ku! It seems that my decision to follow you is right!" Daedalus laughed as the [Eye of Daedalus] slowly changed back to normal.

Ryth laughed out loud, attracting weird looks from his team. "Of course! I'm also lucky since I got the [Eye of Daedalus] which helps me to find the weakness of the boss! This mana tracer is so useful in my battle!"

"Told you right? Ku ku ku! I'm awesome!" Daedalus shouted in excitement.

After some time of silence, Ryth groaned to himself. "What have I done? I shouldn't have complimented him in the first place..." Ryth heaved a sigh and touched his forehead in dismay.

Ryth shook his head as he walked towards Vanstorm, the boss' dead body. He saw two keys on the floor near its body. He touched both keys and two texts appeared above them.

'Chest key'

'Prison Key'

"Oh? It seems like the dungeon core is not the only thing we should look for. And apparently, we can find it inside the chest?"

"Looks like it, partner!" replied Daedalus. "Okay then, lets go grab all of the items inside, free that dark elf and go back to the dark elf's village."

"Yeah, alright." Ryth nodded.

He turned towards the team and said. "Okay, I will grab the loot first." He then turned to Woodgard and throw him the prison key, "And here is the key to open the prison."

"The rest of you follow Woodgard and wait for me there. We will go back together to the village," Ryth further instruct.

"Understood."

Ryth walked out of the room and into the next room.

He then saw a big chest in the corner of the room. He walked towards the chest and opened it with the key.

After he had opened it, he was amazed to see many items, other than the dungeon core inside. In fact, there is also a sealed scroll.

Ryth grinned in happiness. "Yeah! This is what I came for! With this, everything should be easier against my enemies in the future."
