1-2 turret battery and 7-1 turret battery immediately fired ma.s.s bullets. They crossed in front of an enemy battlecruiser and collided. The ultra-high speed sh.e.l.ls broke into various fragments and spread out like a shotgun blast. (TLN: I imagine 1-2 and 7-1 refers to co-ordinates on a map. Like column 1, row 2 and column 7, row 2)

8 other collisions occurred, wrapping the s.h.i.+ps up in a storm of ma.s.s bullet fragments.

It’s different from the time I protected the s.h.i.+p before. These bullets collide on a slant, causing a ma.s.sive increase in power.

The s.h.i.+p closest to my position lost 2 engines and 4 main guns. 12 holes were opened up in it’s hull. The leaked air condensed and turned into white mist.

In the surrounding s.p.a.ce, a storm of ma.s.s bullet fragments flew out. Thousands, if not tens of thousands of sharp blades penetrated the enemy s.h.i.+ps. Making it impossible to defend against.

Of course, a lot of the fragments. .h.i.t my hull as well. But there was a main difference. Since the fragments exploded outwards, the momentum was considerably decreased. Furthermore, my hull is quite st.u.r.dy, it is more robust than modern day s.h.i.+ps. It was built in an era where technology had advanced far more than now.

I raised the reactor’s output to it’s limits and escaped past the s.h.i.+ps that had been attacked.

10 kilometers, 20 kilometers, we moved further and further away from the enemy s.h.i.+ps. 60, 80, 100, 500, 1000.

I raised my fist in my mind. Reacting to that, one of the turrets raised itself up and down.

The inside of the bridge was silent. Everyone was hugging each other and trembling.

I turn on the heating at full power. The whole s.h.i.+p quickly became like a tropical jungle. In the break room, cracks ran down the gla.s.ses due to the sudden temperature change.

I suddenly felt tired. Just one person is moving this entire battlecruiser. No wait, I’m an AI now. If I was human, I would have gone insane from exhaustion.

I leave control of the s.h.i.+p to the other me and give my consciousness to the electronic sea. I don’t want to think or feel anything.

I just felt so tired.

Seven minutes later, someone stood up on the bridge. My motion sensor caught their movement.

I returned my consciousness to the s.h.i.+p. Although it’s inconvenient, I was feeling a little depressed.

Sohaira had stood up, despite staggering at first. The frost that had once formed on her body had melted, soaking her clothes. Her black hair was stuck to her forehead. Even though the temperature had increased to about 35 degrees, she was still trembling slightly.

She spoke up.
「Asagaya Makato, what’s happened?」

I explained by showing the battle screen.

She spoke once more.
「You did well」

「Thanks」

「How’s the crew?」

「Everyone is safe」

She sighed in relief.

Vega grasped the railing and raised her body. He wet uniform was sticking to her s.e.xy body. Other people started to stand one after another.

Sohaira spoke.
「What is the status of the fleet?」

「It is not good」
I drew the whole view of the Shaka star system on screen. The Shaka star is still quite young and glows blue. There are 17 planets...o...b..ting it. The 5 inner planets are too hot for humans to live on. The 6th planet is also warm, with an average temperature of 50 degrees. However, the gravitational force is large and the atmosphere is dense. The 7th and 8th are habitable. 9th to 10th are ice planets. There seemed to be something like a planet in between the two. An asteroid containing many precious metals.

The alliance had built s.h.i.+p building facilities in one of the moons surrounding the 10th planet. A number of defensive stations surround it. It’s the perfect unbeatable fortress.

The battlefield was near the 12th planet. The planet itself is a gas giant, if it had several percent more ma.s.s it would have become a star. As a result, there were jump points around it that could usually only be found on stars. It is a point that only appears when the planets are in a certain alignment.

Right now, the main imperial fleet was numbering less than 30, whereas the alliance was close to 300.

「Asagaya Makato, is there anyway to save them?」 Sohaira said.

「I could, but we don’t have that much time. I seemed to have gained attention from attacking those 5 s.h.i.+ps. 15 s.h.i.+ps including battles.h.i.+ps are heading this way. They will be here within 1 hour. Before that, we need to reach the jump point quickly」
