Those Sweet Times
Chapter 64 Part 3
They had quite a pleasant dinner. Or at the very least Xiang Nuan and Yue Yingying enjoyed each other's company tremendously. Xiang Nuan liked Lin Chuyan's mother very much now. She was quite knowledgeable about a wide range of topics. They could converse about almost anything. Even when the topic was somewhat difficult to understand, Yue Yingying could use plain and simple language to explain it. In addition, the way Yue Yingying spoke was always gentle and soft, making people feel like getting closer to her.
After dinner, Yue Yingying asked Xiang Nuan: “Xiang Nuan, do you like to see musicals?”
“Yes, I do. Auntie, do you have any recommendations?”
“I sponsor a non-profit project which supports young people who produce their own musicals.”
“That's quite a special project.”
“That's right. Oh, there happens to be a show tonight. If you want to see it, I-- --”
“Mom.” Lin Chuyan interrupted their conversation.
Yue Yingying looked towards Lin Chuyan and discovered that his son was looking at her somewhat bitterly.
“I……” Yue Yingying paused with some difficulty, then continued: “Uncle and I don't have time tonight to go. It would be a shame to waste the tickets. How about, you and Chuyan go and see it?”
Lin Chuyan secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, his mother was on his side, thank goodness.

The musical had good music but the plot was a bit boring.
Halfway through the show, Xiang Nuan couldn't stay awake anymore. Her head tilted to the side and began rhythmically nodding.
She actually really wanted to play a round of Kings of Glory, but felt that would be too disrespectful to all the actors.
But she ended up constantly nodding her head back and forth.
After a little while, an arm suddenly reached over and circled around her shoulders.
Lin Chuyan lifted his hand and pushed Xiang Nuan's head onto his own shoulder.
“Go sleep.” He said.
Xiang Nuan didn't resist the offer at all; she leaned on Lin Chuyan's shoulder like a supple willow branch.
Lin Chuyan fixed his eyes on the stage, but didn't really know what he was looking at. All his attention was on her.
Lin Chuyan licked his lips, trying to suppress his racing heart. He worried that the thumping would wake her up.
Xiang Nuan breathed in and out in a regular rhythm. It looked like she was sound asleep.
Under the cover of darkness in the theatre, no one could notice that her eyelashes were quivering and her face was burning red.
