Chapter 1916: She Actually Videotaped Me Again
When An Jinwei saw the court’s summons, he was completely stupefied. When he saw that the plaintiff was Chen Ning, he was nearly angered to death.
He’d just said some words casually, but that woman actually sued him. She was really making a mountain out of a molehill.
An Jinwei’s father put on his reading gla.s.ses. He looked at the court summons and saw Chen Ning’s name written on it. “Why did this woman pop up again?”
“I met her at the mall. I just said a few sentences, but she actually videotaped me again.” An Jinwei swept a hand through his hair.
An Jinwei’s father immediately took off his reading gla.s.ses and smashed the paper at his son. An Jinwei was. .h.i.t in the face and instinctively s.h.i.+elded his head.
“Why did you provoke this woman? You even need to go to court now,” An Jinwei’s father said. “It’s taken so long for people to finally start forgetting about the last incident, but this’ll just bring it up again.”
An Jinwei’s father turned red with anger. Few commoners were willing to go to court. They all wanted to avoid any trouble they could, making big disputes as small as possible. If a private settlement was possible, they’d settle it privately.
But now that a court summons had come, there was little chance of the matter being settled privately.
“Call her and settle this in private,” An Jinwei’s father said tiredly. “After this incident, you should quickly marry a wife and pa.s.s your days peacefully. Your actions are getting more and more out of hand these days.”
An Jinwei wanted to tear Ning Shu into shreds, but he didn’t know Ning Shu’s phone number. He went to the Chen family to find Ning Shu, but was told that she never returned. She stayed in a hotel and the Chen family didn’t know where she was.
An Jinwei couldn’t find Ning Shu, so there was no way for them to settle the matter in private. He could only wait for the day of the court hearing.
When the time came, even if the An family members didn’t want to go, they had no choice.
The family of three waited at the entrance of the court. The old couple had aged a lot in the past few years. The incident from before had hurt the couple’s vitality a lot, right down to their roots.
There was always an aura of despair surrounding them.
Ning Shu drove to the entrance of the court. She wore a neat OL suit and black high heels. Her hair was neatly combed and she had light makeup on. Her complexion was very good.
She looked very sharp and professional. Ning Shu’s heels clicked as she walked towards the An family.
An Jinwei stared at Ning Shu in a daze. Ning Shu smiled slightly. “I am a lawyer, yet you called me a mistress and a prost.i.tute.”
“How are you a lawyer?” An Jinwei really did not expect that the word lawyer, such a high-cla.s.s, professional, and serious career, would have any relations.h.i.+p with this madwoman.
“Chen Ning, you b.i.t.c.h, why do you insist on clinging to my son?” An Jinwei’s mother pointed at Ning Shu and cursed.
Ning Shu said lightly, “At the entrance of the court, pay attention to your words. The reason your son is sitting in the defendant’s seat today is exactly because he kept talking drivel.”
“You…” An Jinwei’s mother pointed at Ning Shu, but didn’t dare to say anything more.
An Jinwei looked at Ning Shu. “Let’s settle this privately, how much do you want?”
Ning Shu said with a smile, “I don’t want money now. As soon as you opened your mouth, you thoughtlessly started to slander me, so I will make sure you won’t dare to talk nonsense when you see me in the future.”
“Chen Ning, don’t push people too far. Otherwise, we won’t be able to meet cordially in the future,” An Jinwei’s father said with a calm face.
Ning Shu squinted her eyes. “Meet cordially? When your son met me, he called me a mistress and a prost.i.tute. Is this what you mean by meeting cordially? If I compromise a tiny bit, next time would an entire sh*t bowl be poured on my head?”
