Lady Niohuru’s stomach continued to grow bigger by the day, while Young Lady Niohuru’s heart grew colder by the day. She was too worried to even nurse herself properly during the puerperium period.

Tong Yu brought over four midwives. Ning Shu was busy helping Lady Niohuru adjust her child’s birth position when she smelled a strong scent of medicine coming from one of the midwives. That midwife was even deliberately trying to approach Lady Niohuru.
Ning Shu grabbed that midwife’s arm and twisted it to contain her as she said to Tong Yu, “Tie her up and lock her up in another room.”
