Chapter 2

Sc.u.mbags, Looking for Death

Those eyes were s.h.i.+ning like stars. Despite his miserable condition, no one could ignore Xiao Jin’s existence.

Su Ying frowned. This man was tough and commanding, with a strong aura.

His body was already like an arrow at the end of its flight, but he could still wake up without any treatment. What a terrifying willpower.

Xiao Jin was in so much pain that he couldn’t feel anything. He glared at Su Ying coldly. If stares could kill, Su Ying would already be riddled with holes.

“Get lost!” His voice was hoa.r.s.e, but it carried an undeniable aura.

Su Ying’s hands paused for a moment as she looked at his broken body expressionlessly. “Your legs have started to rot. If you don’t get rid of the rotten flesh, you’ll die.”

Xiao Jin remained unmoved. “Get lost. Don’t make me say it a third time.”

Su Ying snorted and knelt in front of him. “I’m a stubborn person too. I’d insist on doing whatever others don’t let me.”

After saying that, Su Ying didn’t care if Xiao Jin’s gaze would dismember her, picked up the scalpel, and shaved off the rotten flesh on Xiao Jin’s legs. Bones were revealed in many places under treatment. She had to respect his toughness for holding on until now while his legs were so rotten.

Xiao Jin was so much pain that his back was drenched in sweat. He didn’t even make a sound, only gritted his teeth and glared coldly at Su Ying. He wanted to see what other tricks this woman had up her sleeves.

After cleaning his legs, Su Ying took out some nutrient fluids and anti-inflammatory pills to feed him.

However, Xiao Jin gritted his teeth and refused to open up.

Su Ying had never been a patient person. “Why? Must I feed you mouth to mouth before you are willing to accept?”

“Little b*stard, how dare you steal dry rations? You are looking for death!”

“Ah!”

The tender and anguished cries drew Su Ying’s attention.

She got up and looked over, only to find that a bailiff nearby raised his hand high and whipped the little kid on the ground.

“Ji! Ling!” Xiao Jin forced his heavily injured body to sit up from the ground. He looked at the little kid who was stepped in the dirt by the bailiff and killing intent burst out of his eyes.

Su Ying only noticed then that the two children had yet to appear. She looked at Xiao Jin, who was trying to get up from the ground and hurriedly pressed him back down.

“Don’t move. Your legs have just been treated. If you move around, they will be injured again.”

“Get lost!”

Su Ying staggered back a step from Xiao Jin’s push.

With annoyance, she pulled off the cloth on his body and tied him to the tree root behind her. “Stay here obediently!” With that, she turned around and walked in the direction of the bailiff.

How dare you harm my child? You are looking for death!

“Where did this b*stard come from? How dare you steal my dried meat? Don’t you know what sort of trash you are?”

The bailiff stepped on Ji’s tiny face. The rough sole of his shoe was even bigger than the boy’s face.

“Brother, brother! Please don’t hit my brother. I beg you to stop… Ah!” Before Ling could finish her words, another bailiff kicked her to Ji’s side.

That bailiff laughed wildly. “Then you can die with your brother, hahaha… Uh!”

The bailiff’s unbridled laughter was stuck in his throat. In the blink of an eye, he met a pair of bright eyes. Those eyes flashed with a cold light, like an Asura demon that had crawled out of h.e.l.l.

Su Ying’s lips twitched, and she lifted her knee, slamming it into the bailiff’s crotch.

“Waaaah!”

The bailiff screamed in pain, his body curling up like a shrimp, and fell to the ground.

Su Ying turned and glared at the bailiff stepping on Ling’s face. She grabbed a branch from the ground and threw it over.

“Ah!”

The branch accurately pierced the bailiff’s calf. He fell hard in pain.

Su Ying’s face tensed up. She walked to the two children and s.h.i.+elded them behind her.

“Spat! Stinky b*tch, you’re looking for death!”

The rest of the bailiffs surrounded Su Ying and whipped hard at her.

Su Ying’s eyes darkened, and she grabbed a whip. With one strong pull, she forcefully s.n.a.t.c.hed it.

“Let’s see who is looking for death.”

The long whip in Su Ying’s hand lashed out and hit the bailiffs’ bodies with force.

Her dress was already in tatters, her long hair flew in the cold wind, and her eyes were bloodthirsty. She stood in the wind like a demon.

The bailiffs were whipped to the ground again and again and did not dare to come forward. They looked at Su Ying with deep fear in their eyes.

The surrounding prisoners were all stunned by the scene in front of them. They were exiled prisoners. It was not exaggerating to say that their lives were in the hands of these bailiffs. Yet today, this woman dared to fight them. Did she not want to live anymore?

“You… How dare you hit the bailiffs! Do you want to die?” The leader of the bailiffs looked at Su Ying, who was walking towards him and retreated in fear.

Su Ying threw the whip at his face. “The northern wilderness is lawless and is a place of no return. I would die there, or I would die here. I do not mind taking you all with me! This is a warning today. If you dare to touch my family again, I’ll send you on your way!”

The bailiffs did not doubt that Su Ying would do as she said. In Chu, exiled to the northern wilderness was equivalent to a death sentence. Judging by what just happened, they might not be her matches if she wanted them to die with her.

Hence, in the face of Su Ying’s threat, the bailiffs didn’t dare to make a sound.

Su Ying walked over to the two children and checked Ji’s injuries. His back was full of whip wounds, and there was blood at the corner of his mouth. He was lying on the ground like a ragdoll, lifeless.

Su Ying’s chest was boiling with anger again. She should have crippled those b*stards’ hands!

“Brother… How is big brother…” Ling chocked. She was protected by Ji earlier and only had light wounds, which were not a big problem.

Su Ying carefully checked Ji’s condition. After making sure that he could move, she carried him. She did not forget to turn around to comfort Ling, who was still in shock.

“Don’t cry. I’m here. Brother will be fine.”

Ling sobbed. Tears covered her little face. She was only a child, not even four years old. Although Su Ying had done many terrible things to her in the past, the woman was now exuding kindness. This made the little girl trust her subconsciously.

“Ji!” Xiao Jin struggled to look at Ji, who was carried back by Su Ying.

His eyes were bloodshot, and his hands bound by Su Ying were already blood-red.

Su Ying glanced at him and twisted her brows. She said in a low voice: “Don’t move. I can save the child, and I’ll definitely make sure that he will be fine.”

After saying that, she carefully placed Ji next to Xiao Jin and immediately untied the rope on Xiao Jin.

Xiao Jin locked eyes tightly on Ji as he reached out to check his injuries.

When he touched Ji’s injured little body, killing intent gushed out from his eyes. He clenched his fists tightly. He would surely tear the persons who hurt Ji into a thousand pieces!
