Chapter 784

Everyone was very confused by the b.u.t.terfly G.o.ddess’ course of action as she suddenly fl.u.s.tered in front of Dio. They couldn’t help but wonder if the b.u.t.terfly G.o.ddess knew Dio from somewhere. 

Dio himself was frowning as he didn’t understand why Luci was panicking in front of him like this. But he immediately realised something was not right and contacted Natasha and Tony in haste, but none of them answered. 

This was definitely a distraction to lure him away from Avengers Tower!

“Who the h.e.l.l are you? Why did you do something like this?” Dio said coldly towards Luci. 

Luci was perplexed and almost answered Dio as to not anger him any further, but suddenly she realised that Scott, who has shrunk down to ant size has crawled to her ear and whispered something. “The mission is over, we have to withdraw quickly!” Scott said hastily.

Luci immediately calmed down. She apologised to Dio and immediately threw the hostages that she had captured flying high into the sky. At this time, Dio could just stop the time and capture the enemy, but he couldn’t figure out the woman’s intention at all! Why would she let go of her hostage and apologise so easily?

It showed that the woman had no intention to harm the Avengers, and at the same time proved that their sole objevtive was the Infinity Stones! Dio was very troubled here, should he kill the enemy this time? He knew about the Ant Man and Vision, but who was that woman exactly? Did she come from an alternate universe? 

Dio just watched as Thor flew and rescue Barton and Steve, whom were thrown away by the b.u.t.terfly G.o.ddess. He was still perplexed by the enemy’s course of action and it left him contemplating about this whole fiasco.

“Luci and Scott have returned safely, it is time for us to go back to our own time!” Steve said with a smile on his face. Vision nodded without any objection, but he glanced slightly to the distance as he had something to think about. The two immediately disappeared without leaving any trace, as if they were never there to begin with.

London, 2013.

“We have to go, come on hurry up!” Rocket shouted while pulling Thor’s clothes as he finished extracting the Aether, but they forgot one thing! In this time, Heimdall has been following Jane secretly because Thor demanded him to do so. So, after discovering that Jane, who suddenly disappeared, suddenly reappeared again, Heimdall alerted Thor about it. 

But what made it even worse was that the Fat Thor was holding on to Jane, who was struggling to break free from his clutch right now. The scene was really confusing indeed! So, without even so much of a warning, Thor immediately slammed his Mjolnir to the ground! He believed the Fat Thor was Loki, who had escaped and disguised himself as a Fat Thor! 

He believed so as the Fat Thor didn’t have Mjolnir on his hand, but it was expected as Mjolnir was hard to copy and as a fake, there was no way they would have a resource to do so. 

The Fat Thor himself was annoyed by this situation as he couldn’t bring his Stormbreaker with him earlier. But this situation really wasn’t ideal for Rocket and Fat Thor as they knew if Dio joined the battle after hearing about it, they wouldn’t have any chance to escape.

Rocket then persuaded Fat Thor to escape from here immediately as it would be the best scenario for them. Fat Thor immediately calmed down, but he still seemed annoyed by this situation. He didn’t think he would lose to his former self if Dio didn’t come here. 

Fat Thor really wanted to take this opportunity to take another look at Asgard and the people who died in Thanos’ hand, but he knew that he couldn’t do so right now. 

“You should suffer for what you’ve done, a.s.shole!” The present Thor shouted angrily as he stood beside Jane’s unconscious body. Fat Thor couldn’t say anything as he knew that no words could explain what he did. Although he was annoyed by his past self, he knew that his appearance right now proved that he hadn’t been taking care of himself.

Thor of this time was frustrated too. Although he knew that he shouldn’t leave Jane’s side, he couldn’t bear being ignored either, and so Thor began charging his Mjolnir with thunder energy and immediately threw it towards Fat Thor and the Racc.o.o.n.

Thor smirked as he was confident that his hammer would hit the target. He believed that even Dio wouldn’t want to receive this attack head-on! He would electrocute these two into cinder!

The Hammer reached the Fat Thor and smoked covered the area immediately due to the hot air that was triggered from Mjolnir’s power. Thor opened his palm to call the Mjolnir back, but nothing happened! 

Thor was perplexed as he didn’t understand what was going on. This was the first time that Mjolnir didn’t heed his call. 

The smoke gradually dispersed, and Thor saw that the Fat Thor was still standing with the Racc.o.o.n besides him, unharmed. But the thing that shocked Thor the most was that Fat Thor was holding his Mjolnir! It was as if he missed Mjolnir judging from the sullen look on his eyes! 

But it was the truth too as his Mjolnir was destroyed by Hela, his accursed sister! Even the Stormbreaker that was supposed to be better than Mjolnir, couldn’t really replace Mjolnir on his heart. 

“How could you wield Mjolnir? Give it back to me!” Thor shouted demandingly. 

Fat Thor just looked at his past self without any expression. He felt extremely uncomfortable right now as he didn’t have anything to say to his past arrogant self.
