Chapter 1373: Chapter 1373: It’s Not Easy Being a Live-in Son-in-law
“Wait, let me help you,” Zhou Hengyang suddenly said.
“She rejected me.” The frivolous expression on Zhou Hengguang’s face vanished in an instant. Standing at the door, he stared intently into the living room, at that familiar figure, a deep pain surfacing in his eyes that even he didn’t understand.
Then he resolutely turned around, got into Zou Yikai’s car, and left.

Su Wen thought about it and realized that was indeed true, but she still wasn’t convinced, “What if there is danger? Didn’t you say your brother’s health isn’t good?”
Zhou Hengyang gave a rueful smile, “Isn’t there danger in everything? We can’t just not do things because they’re dangerous. Hengguang’s health has been poor since childhood, it’s not something that only started now.” By the end, he felt he might be overreacting.
Was he getting too anxious lately?
After dinner, when the guests had left, Su Qing, along with her sisters, finished the household ch.o.r.es and cleaning. During that time, Zhou Hengyang even took the initiative to do the tasks of taking out the trash and mopping the floors. The house was so large that mopping was a major ch.o.r.e in itself every day.
Zhou Hengyang had long considered hiring a housemaid. His sisters-in-law had their own careers and studies and didn’t have much time for cleaning.
Once everything was done, they all sat down in their usual spots in the living room, seats which over time they had almost claimed as their own.
Some watched TV clutching throw pillows, while others chatted and caught up on things.
With work matters to report, Su Qing took out her personal notebook and pushed Zhou Hengyang from his spot beside his wife to one side, taking over the brother-in-law’s customary seat.
Zhou Hengyang looked at his wife with a touch of grievance and sighed, “Ah, being a live-in son-in-law really is tough!” After saying this, he moved aside quite dramatically.
This made Su Xiu and the others cover their mouths and giggle.
With no choice, Su Qing thought about rolling her eyes and whispered to Su Wen, “Brother-in-law is becoming more and more cheerful.”
“Isn’t he,” said Su Wen, chewing on an apple and complaining, “You don’t know how happy he’s been lately, like he’s a completely different person.” He won’t let this be done, won’t let that happen.
Her impression of the stoic male lead was almost collapsing, okay?

“Of course, if I don’t put in the effort, who will?” Su Wen replied with pride.
