Chapter 321 - 321 Losing or Winning?
321 Losing or Winning?
Liu Guixia was so happy that she shook in contentment.
“That’s good, that’s good. When he comes back, I won’t let him work for others. There’s so much work at home, the workshop, the rice noodle business, the crops. All of those require help!
“It’s not ideal staying away. There’s no one to take care of him if he gets sick alone. What’s the point of a big family? I can wash his clothes and let him have a warm meal each day. It might not be possible outside.
“If he were at home today and knew about my brother’s family situation, he would definitely want to pick a fight. His temper had always been the worst. My brother is afraid of him. When he returns, I think no one in my brother’s household will dare to come again.”
Jiang Yue became more curious about Sanfu.
Although he might not be as smart as Sifu, his style of dealing with things seemed to be similar to hers. He was as direct as she was.
She couldn’t help but turn around and ask Xue Yan in a low voice, “Does Sanfu always pick fights with others?”
Xue Yan nodded, “Sanfu can’t control his temper.”
“That’s fine.” Jiang Yue did not care about that. “Does he care if he wins or loses?” She was more concerned about this.
Xue Yan immediately remembered that she was used to beating people up, so he kept silent for a while, but then he said honestly, “Sanfu has never lost a fight.”
“Me too,” Jiang Yue replied.
Xue Yan’s eyebrow tilted.
Was she going to pick a fight with Sanfu?
Probably not. She wasn’t someone who would randomly pick fights with someone, but even though she didn’t have much of an expression, she seemed a little excited at the thought. Even her tone seemed to be a little lighthearted.
Xue Yan felt his head hurt more. He couldn’t help but press his glabella and shake his head.
At that moment, Liu Guixia saw Xue Dafu coming from afar. She waved and immediately shouted, “You don’t have to come over! We’re all back in one piece, and we’re all fine.”
Xue Dafu saw that the sun had set and the workshop had wrapped up, but the three still hadn’t returned. It just so happened that he didn’t have anything to do at home, so he went for a stroll outside to wait for their return. Although his wife called out to him, he still strode over. His back was still slightly hunched, and it was obvious that he had worked hard for many years.
Since they were already here, Liu Guixia told him everything that happened at her mother and brother’s place.
Xue Dafu, the honest man, immediately became furious. “It’s fine if she was pretending to be sick, but how dare she expect to take half our family’s fortune! How big of an ego does she have?! Do they not realize how badly they’ve treated our family?!”
“My mother is that kind of person, she will never listen. Alright, alright, let’s go back. Hehua should be done cooking, right?” Liu Guixia asked.
“Almost.” Xue Dafu said as he looked at his two precious children. “Fortunately, Xue Yan and Jiang Yue came to find you. Otherwise, you would’ve fallen right into their traps. If such things happen again in the future, don’t go alone.”
“I know, I know. Why are you so long-winded? I’m going home.” Liu Guixia urged.
Xue Dafu grinned, revealing his white teeth. “You’re usually the one who’s long-winded, I was just learning from you! Alright, alright, let’s not talk about it anymore. Nothing happened anyway. Xue Yan, Jiang Yue, let’s go home.”
“Okay.” Jiang Yue and Xue Yan both agreed and followed their parents home.
When they got home, Liu Guixia told them about what happened because no one else in the family knew about it. Xue Erfu, Xue Wufu, and Yu Hongyan were all fired up from the story and they couldn’t help but curse at her.
“They’ll definitely be thinking of other ways to get back at us,” Xue Sifu said.
