“There’s no need for you to come here,” he said quickly. “I already have everything figured out. It’s my fault for calling your attention like this.”
“If I didn’t come down, how would I know that they’re here? Besides, I should’ve expected this from someone like her.” She shot Xu Xuan a look.
As soon as the man heard this, he shot a glare at Xu Xuan. “I’ll teach her a lesson,” he snapped. “If she continues being a traitor, I’ll make sure to educate her well enough.”
Yao Ran smiled.
“Do you hear that, Xuanxuan?” she said softly. “You were born in the Xu Family. Shouldn’t you know what to do?”
A few days ago, she had just been recuperating in the ward when a man came looking for her.
The man had been respectfully calling her miss, saying that he’d always protect and follow her.
If she was being honest, Yao Ran didn’t know why this was so either.
The man never really mentioned it. No matter how many times she’d asked him, the man wouldn’t tell her the truth. Instead, he simply asked her to wait.
At first, she a.s.sumed that he was simply a liar. To prove it, she asked the man to take out five million and transfer the amount to her card.
How was she supposed to know that he’d do it without any hesitation?
She thought that the man was playing with her.
However, after checking and probing the man, she knew that this man had a close relations.h.i.+p with the Xu Family. That meant that she had some sort of power over him.
This man was there to help her.
Therefore, as she faced Yao Tang, she couldn’t help but feel a little more confident. She tilted her head upward as she regarded them with a cool smile.
It seemed that Xu Xuan wasn’t as loyal as she had initially liked.
After listening to her words, Qin Jing scoffed. “How wonderful,” she drawled. “You really love to play the victim, don’t you?”
She then added, “Not only are you faking a limp, but you look even more shameless.”
Yao Ran’s face darkened. “You—”
She took one look at Qin Jing before rolling her eyes. “Uncle Tian, teach them a lesson for me!”
