Chapter 1422: Qi

"Don't be silly, it's just a Lesser Sacred Seed," Tantai Lan said disdainfully to the foolishly smiling Li Luo after Li Tianji was gone.

"Mother, you are a Greater Transcendent Duke, of course you'll look down on this," Li Luo responded with a grin.

Tantai Lan's resonances had all reached the middle ninth-grade and thus, the Lesser Sacred Seed was useless to her.

However, Li Luo wasn't the same. The highest of his resonances at this point was the lower ninth-grade waterlight resonance. Thus, the ability of the Lesser Sacred Seed to upgrade his resonance was significant.

"Has your Absolute Resonance Seed awakened?" Tantai Lan asked.

Li Luo nodded and muttered, "It definitely has. However, I feel like it’s not as effective as the Lesser Sacred Seed."

"If one of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect Masters heard you say that, they might berate you endlessly," Tantai Lan helplessly replied.

"I'll have to ask my mother to explain further." Li Luo grinned.

What he knew of the Absolute Resonance Seed was definitely less than Tantai Lan.

She then asked, "Has the Absolute Resonance Halo within you given birth to the Myriad Resonances Cauldron and has it ignited with the Myriad Resonances Flame?"

Li Luo paused and thought about how there was now a flaming cauldron in the center of the Absolute Resonance Halo which contained his burning Acquired Resonance Flame.

"The next stage of the Acquired Resonance Flame is what we consider the Myriad Resonances Flame," Tantai Lan explained.

"What's the point of that?" Li Luo asked humbly.

"The Myriad Resonances Flame can protect you from evil influences. I believe you've experienced this already."

Li Luo nodded. The Acquired Resonance Flame had the ability to purge even the most entrenched corruption and even refine it.

"The Myriad Resonance Flame also has a magical power. When your body's resonant power increases, the flame will produce a special power called Absolute Resonance Qi," Tantai Lan explained.

"Absolute Resonance Qi has effects similar to spirit liquids and purifying lights, allowing all of your resonances to advance."

"All my resonances?" Li Luo was taken aback by this. After all, his resonances were about to reach the ninth-grade, and the grade of the spirit liquids and purifying lights needed to evolve them was simply terrifying. Even in a Heavenly Emperor power, they were considered peak treasures. Thus, what he found most headache-inducing was how to obtain more of them. Now Tantai Lan was saying that the Myriad Resonances Flame was able to continuously help him evolve his resonances whenever his cultivation level increased?

Although his resonances wouldn't raise a grade every time, the effects over time could not be underestimated.

"Then why haven't my resonances evolved? I don't think I’ve sensed this Absolute Resonance Qi," Li Luo asked curiously. He truly had not sensed this during his secluded cultivation.

"No? That shouldn't be possible. Could there have been some problems?" Tantai Lan was a little taken aback.

Li Luo thought about it, then an idea flashed through his mind. He quickly took out the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo Shoot that Li Jingzhe had transformed into and hurriedly asked, "Mother, after I left my secluded meditation, I realized that Grandpa's Heavenly Thunder Bamboo shoot had grown. Could it be that my Absolute Resonance Qi was absorbed by Grandpa?"

He had pondered over the reason why the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo shoot had grown and couldn't figure out why. After hearing what Tantai Lan had said, he couldn't help but guess that this was the reason.

Tantai Lan took the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo shoot from his hands and closely scrutinized it, then she nodded. "The aura of your Grandpa has increased a little."

She then sighed. "The reason why your Grandpa is the way he is now is also because of the Absolute Resonance Halo. If he requires Absolute Resonance Qi to grow, all the puzzle pieces fit together."

"Can we use spirit liquids and purifying lights, then?" Li Luo asked excitedly. The Absolute Resonance Qi and spirit liquids and purifying lights had similar effects. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the latter to water the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo shoot and increase its rate of growth? Her slender hand casually swiped the air, and a small rift opened up. An object wreathed in light shot out and floated before the duo. It was an ancient but familiar sword. Li Luo immediately recognized that it was the Dragon Elephant Blade that had accompanied him for many years. However, its appearance had gone through a change.

The hilt, which resembled a dragon's head, was now covered with dense amounts of golden dragon scales. The dragon's beard extended outwards like a hand guard, and the entire blade glinted with cold light. From time to time, the blade flashed with terrifying lightning accompanied with a thunderous boom.

The blade itself was silver, and it seemed to contain a world of thunder within. Inside this world was a single gigantic stalk of silver-colored Thunder Bamboo standing tall, spewing out immense amounts of thunder energy, forming a storm. The roars and trumpeting of a t.i.tanic dragon and an ancient elephant could be heard within the storm.

When Li Luo saw the Dragon Elephant Blade and its keen edge, he could even feel his heart pounding in fear. It had probably reached a grade no lower than the Light and Dark Spear. Furthermore, he could sense that an even more terrifying power was hidden within the blade itself.

It was like Heavenly Thunder was contained within, ready to strike fear into other's hearts.

"Your Grandpa's Kingslayer Staff was dismantled into its original materials. I combined those with the Dragon Elephant Blade, and it has been upgraded into a high-grade Mythic Armament. However, the original grade of the Dragon Elephant Blade was a little too low, so it was unable to contain the power of a Venerated Heirloom. Thus, much of its power has been sealed, so don't touch it unless it’s an emergency," Tantai Lan explained.

Li Luo's gaze turned complicated as he stretched his hand out. The Dragon Elephant Blade had accompanied him for many years, and the two were basically one. After being upgraded into a Mythic Armament, the Dragon Elephant Blade's spirituality had increased. Upon hearing his call, it emitted a thunderous sword hymn and shot towards him so quickly that it resembled a silver beam of light. It happily circled around his body before landing in his hand.

He tightly grasped its handle, and his resonant power flowed into it without restraint. At this moment, violent thunder energy burst out of the blade and wrapped around it, creating an even larger blade made of thunder energy.

This ferocious power seemed capable of ripping apart anything in its path.

Li Luo felt exuberant. If he had this during the Grand Guardian General battle, he might have simply been able to deal with everyone other than Li Zhihuo with a single slash.

"Thank you, Grandpa," Li Luo murmured softly as he lightly caressed the blade.

The Dragon Elephant Blade could have been said to have metamorphosed, so its name needed to change as well.

After thinking about it... he decided that his new weapon would be known as the Dragon Elephant Thunder Blade.
