Li Tingyue had arrived in the nick of time with her squad in tow. This caused the wild rabble consisting of the other squads to stop in their tracks. They had no a.s.surance that they could take down both the Dragon's Fang and the Dragon's Scale Guardian squads and successfully s.n.a.t.c.h away the Foundational Spirit Treasures.

Thus the squads belonging to other powers and rogue cultivators thus chose to retreat without a further word, their resonant power fluctuations disappearing into the distance.

Li Foluo looked at the scattering squads as he coldly snorted. The four Duke Bergfrieds above him transformed into motes of light which were reabsorbed into his body as he retracted his resonant power.

The ferocious energy emanating from Li Luo disappeared like flowing water, reabsorbed back into the scarlet bracelet. Meanwhile the Six-tailed Heavenly Wolf was feeling a little weakened at the moment as most of the energy consumed by Li Luo had come from it.

It couldn't help but to sigh in its heart. It seems like following this master would tire him to death!

It was now an upper third-grade but it was still squeezed dry!

"Keke, thank you Guardian General Tingyue for your timely a.s.sistance." Li Foluo smiled as he cupped his hands to express his thanks.

"Li Foluo, did you encounter an ambush?" Li Tingyue's long skirt fluttered in the wind. Her beautiful eyes glanced around the area and she was able to sense the violent energy fluctuations that lingered in the vicinity, demonstrating that a huge battle had occurred.

"We were attacked by both Zhao Qianjun and Zhao Baisun's squads." Li Foluo replied with a smile.

"The Divine Tiger Guardians Zhao Qianjun and the Golden Peng Guardians Zhao Baisun?" Li Tingyue was momentarily taken aback upon hearing his words. Zhao Baisun was a lower fourth-grade and the combination of the two squads would mean that Li Foluo would have to suffer in such a situation. What was most confusing to her was the fact that none of them seemed to be injured.

"Jiang Qing'e killed Zhao Baisun and Li Luo took out Zhao Jiyun, Zhao Zhuoyan and another. I'm afraid the Ten Thousand Beast Armies have been grievously injured this time." Li Foluo continued.

"What?" Li Tingyue's eyes became as wide as saucers. She even suspected that her ears might have some issue. Behind her, the Dragon's Scale Guardians' First Grand Commander was also completely dumbfounded.

What did they just hear?

The Golden Peng Guardian General was the fourth-grade Zhao Baisun so how in the world did Jiang Qing'e do it?

Li Foluo sighed at her response. He completely understood why she felt this way. If he had not seen it with his own eyes, he might have agreed with her as well.

"Jiang Qing'e has reached the upper first-grade Duke stage and Li Luo borrowed the aid of an upper third-grade Duke stage spirit beast." He replied succinctly.

"Upper first-grade... upper third-grade spirit beast..." Li Tingyue paused for a moment as her expression turned complicated. Was this the supposed unrivaled-ness of a Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried genius? An upper first-grade Duke was capable of contesting against a fourth-grade Duke?

That said she had already heard of Li Luo possessing a Duke stage spirit beast. However no one had ever told her that it was already at that grade.

Furthermore the energy it provided was ferocious and Li Luo was only a piddly Greater Heavenly Resonance. How could he dare to casually tap upon this energy? Wasn't he afraid of some sort of backlash? Based on what she knew, only those from the Imperial Beast Hall had a unique secret art that allowed them to fuse with their spirit beasts.

However, with that sort of explanation, she could understand what happened.

Li Tingyue then turned towards the duo as her gaze turned solemn. Although she had a warm relations.h.i.+p with them, it was purely due to their value on the Falling Star Terrace. However the strength they demonstrated today deserved her recognition.

"Dragon Fang Envoy Jiang and Grand Commander Li Luo might very well become the two mountains that stand invincible at the peak of the Five Guardian Armies." Li Tingyue sighed.

If Jiang Qing'e was capable of forging a second Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried, that would mean that even Li Zhihuo would be surpa.s.sed by her. Li Luo himself was about to break into the Duke stage and if he succeeded and forged a Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried of his own, his strength would also rise to a terrifying realm.

In the past, she had always thought that the position of Grand Guardian General would lie in Li Zhihuo's hands. However with the way things were going, it might belong to one of these two instead.

Their potential was simply terrifying.

Li Luo then smiled and chimed in. "The Five Guardian Armies are a singular whole. How could I be a mountain that stands alone?" Li Tingyue slightly smiled. This Li Luo seemed more and more handsome by the day and he knew how to speak words which pleased others. In that sense he held the absolute advantage when compared to Li Zhihuo.

"The Ten Thousand Beast Armies have suffered immensely so you need to be careful. If they find an opportunity, they will definitely enact revenge. Thus I'd suggest that we work together from now on." Li Tingyue suggested.

Li Foluo didn't respond upon hearing her words, only looking towards Li Luo, Jiang Qing'e and Li Hongyou. If they were to work together, they would find out about Li Hongyou's incredibly treasure seeking powers.

Li Luo sighed deeply before realizing this didn't really matter. Li Tingyue was only expressing her goodwill and there was no need to reject her. Furthermore they would only be encountering medium sized Other Dominions and more often than not, a single squad would not be enough to take it down. With her help, things would become a lot easier and would ward away the covetous gazes of others.

Thus he nodded his head and smiled. "In that case we'd like to welcome Guardian General Tingyue."

Li Tingyue looked suspiciously at Li Foluo. She couldn't shake off the feeling that the real leader of the squad was actually Li Luo and not the Dragon's Fang Guardian General. When he noticed her curious gaze, Li Foluo felt a little helpless. What else could he do? Jiang Qing'e and Li Hongyou clearly only listened to Li Luo. In the squad, he only served as an excellent, but glorified thug.

Furthermore, why did Li Tingyue and the rest feel that they were doing them a favor by joining up with them?

"So how many high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasures have you obtained?" Li Foluo asked.

Ever since they entered the region with medium sized Other Dominions, Li Foluo could have at best conquered two of them. How could they have obtained three high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasures then?

Even the one which they had vanquished didn't have a single one.

Li Luo hurriedly chimed in. "Actually this Other Dominion had two high-grade ones whereas the third one was seized from Zhao Qianjun."

Li Tingyue's lips twitched slightly. This "explanation" was as good as not explaining things at all.

Just what sort of medium sized Other Dominion would possess two high-grade Foundational Spirit Treasures? How had she not encountered such a fortunate situation?

Li Tingyue wasn't that easy to fool either as she pondered over things. Thinking back to how Li Luo and the rest had reacted when she asked to join them, a sudden thought sprang to mind as she asked tentatively, "Might you actually have a way to figure out what sort of Foundational Spirit Treasures are found within an Other Dominion before you enter it?"

Her gaze then locked onto the silent Li Hongyou as she continued, "Could it have to do with Hongyou's resonance?"

Li Luo was shocked. The fact that she was able to become a Guardian General did indicate that she had her own abilities. Just from their previous actions alone, she had managed to deduce the reason for their success.

That said they had to work together from now on and there was no need to hide anything. Thus he nodded his head. "Guardian General is indeed very sharp."

Hearing Li Luo's acknowledgement caused her to lightly exhale. Her gaze towards Li Hongyou heated up as she was clear how beneficial Li Hongyou's ability was.

Thus she understood that by joining them, they were the ones to have benefited from the arrangement.

It was no wonder why Li Foluo had hesitated.

It seemed that it was the right choice to come to their "rescue".

"Since we are the ones who benefit from this arrangement, we'll let you take the priority in selecting any treasures obtained from the Other Dominion. The distribution ratio will also be up to you." Li Tingyue knew her to act appropriately and took the initiative to let the Dragon's Fang Guardians decide how things would go.

This arrangement also satisfied Li Foluo and Li Luo. Since they were so agreeable, there was no reason to not let them benefit as well.

"Since you've just had a huge battle, we should first find a place to adjust your condition." Li Tingyue beamed widely.

Li Luo didn't disagree and he had wanted to find a place to attempt to purify the Foundational Spirit Treasures, removing any traces of the hidden danger within.
