Chapter 1649 Forgotten Promise
Grey took a glance at the region he was about to enter. It hasn't been more than a day since he left for the Dawson manor, and he was already very close to it, but something kept tugging at his chest. He entered a cave and said with a sigh, "Come out." A little Dragon appeared in the cave, Grey looked at the sad eyes of Eisendrache, he had almost forgotten about this young Dragon that had been with him for some months now. He didn't mean to forget about him, it's just that he has been too busy with the matter of the Gnome World, so he didn't have time to deal with him. When Eisendrache appeared, the aura he felt from Grey scared him. This was far stronger than the last time he met Grey, and it has only been a few months. Eisendrache was still a Rank Five Magical Beast, even though Grey occasionally gives him some treasures, it's still not that easy to jump an entire Rank in the s.p.a.ce of a few months. Adding his mother's essence to it, he's already at the Peak of the Fifth Rank, and could break through any moment now. 'You promised to help me get revenge.' Eisendrache communicated his thoughts to Grey. "I've been preoccupied with a couple of things over the past few months." Grey replied, he looked at Eisendrache and commented, "You're growing well." 'Not fast enough. Although I'm safe there, it's not the best way for me to train.' Eisendrache shook his head in disagreement to Grey's comment. 'I wish Void could hear this.' Grey thought internally. Unlike Void who would rather sleep all day, Eisendrache, a Dragon, one of the greatest Magical Beasts in the world preferred training outside, while Void on the other hand sleeps all through, and for some reason still not only manages to catch up to Grey who's always working hard, but he also tends to always have the edge, same as the bunny leader. The duo were extremely lazy, yet they were progressing at a crazy speed. Grey looked at the Dragon he was made to take care of after witnessing his mother die for him. Although he found it a bit of a ha.s.sle, he didn't mind it. After all, he had Void and the bunny leader, what's the harm in having another companion for his travels?
"Void…"
Void appeared on Grey's shoulder at his call. "We should help him with the revenge thingy." He said to Void who had a bland expression on his face. "Sure, it's not like there's anything I'm doing here. Besides, I'd like to try these oversized lizards' meat." Void drooled at the thought of eating Dragon meat. Dragons were very rare, so being able to eat their meat was more like a privilege to most people. Void isn't like most people, so he felt it was his right to taste all the meat in the world. A Dragon's meat isn't excluded. If he ever encounters a Phoenix, he would also try to get Grey to cook part of it. 'Magical Beasts tend to have strong regenerative abilities. If the lizard is sweet, I will capture one and use it as my personal stash.' Void thought internally. Having to always search for the right meat is difficult, so Void has the thought of creating a personal s.p.a.ce he would use as a farm to keep Magical Beasts he finds their meats delicious. This way, whenever he wants to taste the exquisite meat of these Magical Beasts, instead of going out of his way to find them, he'd just search through his farm and bring it out. Cut out what they need and keep the rest of it alive. He didn't mind healing them after cutting off parts of their bodies. If Grey and Eisendrache knew Void's plan, they'd be lost for words. Klaus on the other hand will fully support this thought since he too wouldn't mind having an indefinite number of rare and exquisite Magical Beasts waiting for him to eat. "Alright, I'll make a stop to help you get revenge. Killing that guy isn't an issue for the current me. I just don't want any trouble with the Dragon Clan. They tend to be very overprotective of their kind, so they wouldn't take me killing one too kindly. Eisendrache looked at Grey with hope. Seeing his eyes, Grey could only give up. "Don't worry, I promised to help you get revenge, and I will." Grey patted the head of Eisendrache and said, "Let's go." Grey kept Eisendrache hidden and left with Void. It has been a while since it has just been him and Void. The bunny leader is still with them, but like Void, he too didn't like coming out, he preferred to stay hidden, sleeping most of the day. Grey still found it odd that the duo were growing even when all they do is sleep. Within a day, they arrived at the forest.
Grey looked around, when he first came here, he was still a Venerable, now that he has returned, he's a Sovereign, a Fifth stage Sovereign that is confident in his abilities to fight against even those Seventh and Eighth stage Sovereigns. The fact that he could achieve something like this is shocking. If he decides to use his greatest attack, the complete fusion orb, he is confident the strength of the attack might rival a Ninth stage Sovereign or even a Peak Sovereign. Thinking about it, he couldn't help but sight at the thought of not being able to use the Fusion Plane any longer. If he still had access to that technique, he wouldn't have left the Gnome World. Rather, he'd stay and silently kill off all the top experts in the Gnome World. Unfortunately, he could only fight two to three stages ahead of him. If others find out that Grey is upset that he can only fight people two or three stages ahead of him, they'd cough out a mouthful of blood, and they try to kill him for mocking them in that manner. To most people, fighting even one stage ahead is already a huge achievement in the Sovereign Plane, yet Grey could not only go a stage ahead, he was also a bit confident against someone two stages ahead of him.
