Chapter 80 - And What Do I Get If I Do Something More?

Li Luxian had been up against her since the moment she expressed her desire for a separate residence. However, Chen Yi had been adamant. Despite Li Luxian persistent coaxings, she didn't budge from her decision.

Chen Yi thought that she had won from that Devil. But who knew he would immediately change his colors once they set their foot outside of his parent's home?

And now this shameless man...even...

Chen Yi shot daggers at him. Those deep chocolate brown eyes appeared so mesmerizing when they were br.i.m.m.i.n.g with anger. It was as if they had darkened into a deeper shade resembling two captivating precious gemstones. And their charm was only reasonable. After all, those eyes were the only way to glimpse into the pure heart of that precious thing that woman was.

How could Chen Yi have known that the more temperamental she was, the more Li Luxian liked her? 

"Why? Are you nervous?" A low chuckle escaped Li Luxian lips. Like a tiger having its gaze fixed at its prey, his eyes never left hers, not even for a second.

Chen Yi was about to push away her pervert hubby but when she heard his words, she could not ignore the teasing. Her glare intensified. Instead of pus.h.i.+ng him, she focused her gaze upon his self-satisfied face even more "Nervous? Mr. Li, you should be the one who must be nervous."

"Such boldness..."

"I had kissed a complete stranger in front of my Ex. Why do you sound surprised at my boldness?"

"But didn't you say yourself..." Li Luxian lips curled up; he stayed at his spot while his finger that rested under her chin pulled her face up shortening the distance between them; his lips were inches away from hers; his eyes looked past her mask and glimpsed into her soul. "...that you have never been close with a man? It is only fair that I am surprised when you speak such bold words without any substance."

Chen Yi narrowed her eyes at her hubby. Up at this proximity, her heart started to thump in her ears. "That doesn't matter." Her voice was barely more than a whisper as she averted her eyes, breaking the eye contact; her cheeks gained a tinge of red.

Dammit, why did she tell him that? But at that time, how could she have known he would take advantage of the fact? Unknowingly, she had given him leverage upon her.

"Then... does that mean Ms. Chen has taken my challenge?"

After a blink, Chen Yi stared back into Li Luxian eyes. 

She did not know how to answer him.

The smile upon Li Luxian lips was the same as of that day when he had come to her run-down apartment to trap her into a marriage. She knew what kind of a cunning man he was. 

Agreeing into his words was equivalent to jumping into an inescapable trap.

"Afraid now?" Li Luxian laughed at her lack of response. Then he pretended to sigh in regret as he let go of her chin and instead, patted her head adoringly. "I shouldn't put my little wife through something she can't handle." His eyes mellowed. From the glaring provocation earlier, his easy-going expressions were quite a contrast.

However, the certain someone who was faced with this change wasn't happy at this. 

She was speechless.

Such blatant provocation.

How could Chen Yi, the unrestrained woman who did not care for anyone's opinions, the one who could never tolerate being taken for lightly after she had vowed to change, withstand this?

Li Luxian had just stepped back a little when Chen Yi grabbed him and pulled him towards her. Her actions were rough and bold expressing her decisiveness.

Li Luxian knew she was angry and he shouldn't provoke her any further. But...seeing her flushed face, he couldn't help but laugh a little.

"I told you, Mr. Li." Leaning in towards her hubby, she whispered right beside Li Luxian ear. Her sweet, exhilarating innate fragrance, that resembles somewhat delicious strawberries, a.s.saulted Li Luxian. In a moment, he found himself in the middle of a violent volcano, vulnerable to having his reasons taken away at any instant. He frowned, opening and closing his hands into fists, baring keeping himself under control. "You should be the one who must be afraid." With that declaration, Chen Yi pushed him on the couch.

Just like that, the heavenly sweetness that threatened to overwhelm his senses disconnected. For a moment, he let out an unnoticeable sigh of relief. The effect this woman had on him...was simply too much.

Even if he wanted to give control in her hands to get things to move forward between them, it would be a real test for his patience.

After a moment, Li Luxian was calm and cool again; that small smile steadily returned to his handsome face. He silently crossed his long legs over the couch. His fingers gracefully tapped over the sidearm impatiently for a while. Slowly his eyes lifted and locked themselves with that fiery woman who was glaring at him. 

"Is this all you can do?" His elbow rested upon the sidearm, his chin rested upon his wrist never breaking the eye contact with the woman before him.

Even though he had been pushed down aggressively to the couch, the way he sat over the couch, his confidence, the languid look on his handsome face, his nonchalant demeanor, everything maintained his innate gracefulness. 

Another open provocation...

Chen Yi stared down at him. Placing one of her knees over the couch, she grabbed onto his necktie. Li Luxian eyes glinted with profound amus.e.m.e.nt; he silently observed her actions as his arm went back to resing upon the sidearm without taking any intentions of interceding. He was allowing her to do whatever she wanted. He was interested in where she was planning to take it from here.

Chen Yi leaned in towards him steadily until her face was inches away from his. With a small smile upon her cherry red lips, she tilted her head. Then, all of sudden, Chen Yi chuckled.. "And what do I get if I do something more?" In a sweet, mellow tone, she asked.
