Only at the last moment, when the horns flared, did Zhang Yufang notice the car and hurriedly turned the steering wheel. He lost control of the car, spiraling it and hardly stabilizing it at the end.

In the backseats, as the result of the sudden jerk, the couple was almost sent flying. Li Luxian quickly wrapped Chen Yi into his arms, having her safely fall onto his chest as he fell back down on the seats. 

Then, he glared at the front. "Careful."

"S-Sorry Sir." Came Zhang Yufang reply in a choked voice.

Was he to blame? How could he have expected to be suddenly fed such a big chunk of dog food? For all concerns, he couldn't swallow it in one go!

But Zhang Yufang knew very well there was no ear to give vent to his grievance. Thus, he silently pulled up the part.i.tion to save himself from future instances of witnessing such depravity!

Heavens! He was single. Have mercy on him!

Li Luxian sighed and glanced back at Chen Yi who slowly yet clumsily sat over him, straddling him. However, she didn't get off, continuing straddling him.

"What are you doing?"

"Having fun."

"Yi'er-"

"I have read it's exciting to do it in the car." The grin over her face didn't reveal any signs of disappearing any time soon.

Before Li Luxian could understand what she meant by 'having fun', another shock was sent in his direction as he tried to decipher what it meant 'its exciting to do in the car.'

He was speechless.

However, Chen Yi didn't let him the time to properly manifest his shock — Giggling, Chen Yi's hand aimed directly towards a certain region he would rather have her not — not in the state she was right now, anyway.

"You better not do that." His eyes darkened in a serious warning as quickly grabbed her naughty hand before it could reach any forbidden zone and initiate a series of irredeemable situation. 

Sliding a hand through his hair in frustration, he tried to get up but a powerful shove of a pair of slender hands that contained a surprising amount of strength sent him back down on the seats.

A heated yet resolute glare fixed him in his position.

Li Luxian honestly had no idea how to handle her. 

The way she was behaving, how could he have known there was such a side to her?

He was simply at his wit's end with this woman.

"Are you taking revenge on me for yesterday?" He could not help but consider that possibility.

When she was in the state of nonsence, the responsibility to show retrain eventually fell on his shoulders. As someone who greatly desired her, wasn't it a sort of twisted torture to force him to push her off while she pa.s.sionately threw herself at him?

If she was sober, he would have taught her a nice lesson for her audacity.

But now — He knew he could not accept her advancements. He was not the one who would take advantage of others in their inhibited state. His character did not allow it. 

More than that, he did not want to have Yi'er do something she would later regret — he could not bear to see her hurt.

Chen Yi conveniently ignored his words. She continued to glare at him with the devotion of a warrior. 

"Yi'er..."

A simple word of rejection from Li Luxian and Chen Yi's expressions s.h.i.+fted drastically. So swift that Li Luxian found himself dumbfounded.

From a fierce lion staring at its prey Chen Yi's expressions altered to that of an innocent little kitten who had been kicked by a big, bad bully — the air of being 'wronged' was so dense around her. "Why won't you want me?"

Li Luxian. "..."

When did he ever say he did not want her?

For a moment Li Luxian considered his current situation. Being pinned down by a drunk woman, not only listening to her gibberish but also humor her.

For a person who once believed himself to be a superior race and grouped women as 'eccentric', he could never have expected such a situation, not in his wildest imagination.

However, looking at the same woman, as she wore a 'sad' expression, his chest inexplicably constricted with a deep longing. Even though he knew her current sadness was purely based on a nonsensical view that 'he did not want her'. Within his heart, there was this strong urge to embrace her and soothe away all her sorrows.

He sighed and ended up acting exacting on his urges.

"Don't think of rubbish. You know very well how much I want you." He whispered as he embraced her.

"Then, why won't you take me?"

Li Luxian was once again speechless. 

What did she actually mean by 'take her'? 

Did she really want him to do her?

He recalled how difficult it had been for him to coax her into doing something intimate the last time. And now, she was offering herself to him. Just like this?

Patting her head, he whiffed into her hair. "How I wish you could say this when you are sober."

Chen Yi pouted angrily. "I am sober."

"Sure you are." Li Luxian chuckled.

Suddenly, he regretted not having a camera right now at his hand. He would have had a lot of laughs to see her embarra.s.sed reaction once she sobered up and saw her own self acting so unrestrained. 

His thoughts were interrupted when, abruptly, he had his lapel grabbed aggressively. Before he could understand, he was kissed again. And quite pa.s.sionately this time. He could not bring himself to stop. By the end, he was left breathless.

When Chen Yi pulled back, Li Luxian found burning pa.s.sion in those hazy eyes. 

Li Luxian attempts to overcome the aftereffects of that heavenly bliss were terminated when a small, fluffy head rested against his chest. His heart swelled up with a feeling he had never felt before. The softness that rested against his chest, right above his heart made him experience a feeling of blissful stuffiness. 

Like a hole deep within his heart had finally been filled after years of aimless yearning.

"Let's do it before - before they take it away." 

Li Luxian was struck by lightning.
