Wu Jin's comment pushed Hao Xuan out of his stupor.

"Good for you. I was born in one and lived there for 19 years. You ain't special dumba.s.s," Hao Xuan scoffed

"Wow, rude much?" Wu Jin turned away angrily.

"Enough. Tell me more about this tournament now. What's it about? What do I have to do exactly?"

"h.e.l.l if I know," Wu Jin nonchalantly replied while looking at his spirit band. "I've never partic.i.p.ated so I don't know much. You'll have to ask 'Ryfon' when he gets here, he is an overseer this time so he will know everything about it. He's not even teaching normal cla.s.ses and focusing on the tournament completely."

"He's a teacher at the academy?!"

"Yeah."

"And you guys both grew up together yet he is already a teacher while you still study there? Pathetic."

"Get off my back, what're you my dad? And he only became a teacher to do "home tutoring" sessions with the female students," Wu Jin retorted like a spoiled brat, spitting out the truth in anger.

"....wow. That fills me with confidence.." Hao Xuan said through gritted teeth while rubbing his temple. Wu Jin saw him being distracted and quickly got up. He waved his hand and a rectangular object surrounded by golden sigils appeared on the table.

"Here are the things you asked for. I have a few things to take care off so ask Ryfon for anything you need. He knows almost everyone worth knowing in the city and will get you whatever you need. You can trust him!" he shouted the last sentence from the outside and by the time Hao Xuan looked up, the seat in front was empty.

"O-Oi, you brat wai-" Hao Xuan quickly ran outside but the Chariot was already a few kilometers away and disappeared within the blink of an eye.

Hao Xuan returned to the house and with no other option, decided to take a nap. Jin w.a.n.g was sleeping under a tree in the garden while Fortis and Zhurong were nowhere in sight.

It felt like his head would burst open any second. All he could do was close his eyes and meditate, hoping to pa.s.s out soon. Time quickly pa.s.sed, the sun went down and then came back again while Hao Xuan was meditating.

"What the F*CK!!" he was awoken by an incessant ringing that didn't stop for even a second. It was the doorbell.

He ran outside half-naked, fuming and ready to behead whoever was behind it.

"HEY HEY! Open the door! Quick!!" a blond head of hair shouted from the other side of the gate.

Hao Xuan clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles turned white.

"STOP RINGING THE BELL YOU DUMBs.h.i.+T!" he yelled while opening the door and a naked person ran in like a blur and vanished into the house.

'What the h.e.l.l is going on?!' he thought to himself but before he could even close the gate and inquire further, the sound of footsteps came from outside and a group of 8 heavily armored men appeared at his doorstep.

There was a burly, bearded man with a heavy mace at the front. He pointed the mace towards Hao Xuan's face.

"Hey you! Did you see a naked man run by here?"

Hao Xuan who was already a 'bit' annoyed didn't take well to the bearded man's rude questioning.

"No," but still he replied calmly and tried to close the door, but the bearded man quickly blocked it with his foot.

"Then you wouldn't mind us taking a look around right?" he asked with a smirk and tried to pry open the door by force, but it didn't budge an inch.

It was to be noted that the bearded man was a top stage Spirit realm cultivator himself and a cultivator of several body strengthing techniques. Even though using one's cultivation was prohibited in the city, his physical prowess alone was still more than enough to unnerve most opponents.

He put in more force but the door didn't move an inch. He looked at Hao Xuan's hand and then at his body and faltered. Hao Xuan's muscles all bulged up and his back straightened, becoming taller by a couple of inches. Already bloodshot eyes of his seemed like the portals to h.e.l.l as he coldly stared back at the bearded man without any fear whatsoever.

"Let go of the door and p.i.s.s the f.u.c.k off before I cut off your head and use it as a bowl. SCRAM!" he shouted, sending a shockwave at the man's face.

The bearded man was forced back a few steps. He wanted to respond with force as well but one of the men behind him quickly came forward and whispered something in his ear.

"The Wu Clan? Are you sure?" he asked, astonished, getting a nod in response.

He looked back at Hao Xuan with an apologetic smile, "My apologies, I had the wrong place," he said while breaking out in a sprint and vanished from his view within a few seconds.

Hao Xuan, irritated and annoyed, closed the door and walked back into the house with large steps. The first thing he saw was a naked man casually sitting on the couch, using one of the pillows to cover his crotch.

He had short blond hair and a face so pretty that could put most women to shame. His body was lean, without any muscle or fat. If Hao Xuan wasn't looking at him naked, he would have thought he was a woman.

"Get your naked a.s.s off my couch and get out. I don't care who you are or what trouble you're in, get out right now."

The naked man stood up, exposing himself completely. With a wide smile he extended his hand towards Hao Xuan.

"Hey hey friend, calm yourself. I'm here for our meeting. Wu Jin sent me, I'm not a stranger!"

Hao Xuan looked at his hand and then at his face, trying not to look anywhere else.

"What's your name then?" Hao Xuan asked suspiciously.

The naked man straightened his back and puffed out his chest.

"Ryfon Biric, 7th Prince of the Royal Clan of the great Elvish Empire. A pleasure to make your acquaintance," he bowed slightly from the waist. Perhaps if he had some clothes on it would look n.o.ble but right now he just looked like a crazy pervert.

Hao Xuan's left eye twitched, threatening to burst open. He could very well be the first person to die from anger.

"Why the f.u.c.k are you naked, dear prince," he asked while grinding his teeth so loudly that even Ryfon could hear it.

"Hehe, just a misunderstanding. I came over to meet you last night but in the darkness, I accidentally entered the wrong house. There I found a young lady in desperate need of some physical education. I was in the middle of "teaching" her when her husband came home. He simply misunderstood the situation and chased me out," Ryfon explained while scratching the back his head with an embarra.s.sed expression.

Hao Xuan, on the other hand, was left speechless at the absurd and obvious lie.

'Does this guy have no shame? Does he really think anyone will believe that?'
