Chapter 242 - Wu Clan Continued.
The chariot door slowly opened and two figures stepped out.
The one in the front was a woman that looked to be in her early thirties. She had long dark blue hair coming down to her waist. Her complexion was so pale that it looked like someone threw a coating of white paint on her.
There were two red dots on each side of her face, right next to the nose. Unlike what Hao Xuan was expecting, she didn't particularly look a human at all. Her facial features were very prominent and even by just standing there it gave the observers the feeling that she was looking down on them.
Her forehead was almost twice the size of a normal persons.
She was dressed in a full black pantsuit with a height of about 7 feet. She was standing in front of the second figure protectively.
The second figure was a boy of about 16-17 years of age. He had the same complexion and the red dots around his nose as the woman in front, only his were a color of dark gold. He held a red folding fan in his fan with s.h.i.+mmering golden sigils all over it.
From how the woman was standing in front of him, it was quite obvious she was his protector.
First gave a gentleman's bow before looking at the boy in his usual calm countenance.
"I am the First captain of Red Legion. Would the Wu Clan representatives kindly give their names?"
The boy shook his head once without even looking at him.
"My ident.i.ty is of no concern to you. Since you are here, stay. I was going to interrogate your man but it's better that you are here yourself."
First's expression turned cold and he threw out all modic.u.m of decorum out the window.
"Why? Why is the Wu clan siding with the Jia? You rarely ever take charge yourselves, so why this time?"
The boy finally met First's gaze. His expressionless face was adorned by disgust.
"Because you are rotten to the core. Your kind needs a cleansing and we will provide it whether you like it or not."
He waved his hands dismissively and looked away, not wanting to even look at First for a single second more.
Hao Xuan frowned looking at the boy floating in mid-air. He got a strange feeling from him.
"Enough talk, bring me those three and kill everyone else," he ordered the women in front who bowed wordlessly in front of him before turning around to look at First.
She shook her hand and a rapier appeared in her grasp. It had a silver blade and a gold hilt. It was s.h.i.+ning with a pale light in the night sky.
"Brother, find a way to capture that kid alive. I'll keep the woman busy."
Just as Hao Xuan was thinking of how to partake in the fight, First's voice echoed in his mind.
He looked at First who nodded back once, confirming what he heard was right. First then turned to look at the woman with a gentle smile.
"Alright, if you want to do this the hard way then so be it."
The woman responded by shooting forward with her rapier pointing straight at First's heart. But First didn't make a move in return. he didn't even take out a weapon.
The woman scoffed in disdain at his behavior and sped up even more. Hao Xuan couldn't even follow her movements. In his eyes she looked like a shooting star.
First watched on with narrowed eyes. When she was within 15 meters he tapped his foot lightly in mid-air. A ripple spread outward and hit the woman head-on.
Her eyes widened as she tried to stop but it was already too late. The ripple came into contact with her body and she completely disappeared.
"What?!"
Hao Xuan's eyes almost fell out of his socket. He was waiting for a shockwave or an explosion from their clash, not this.
He looked at First but could find n.o.body there. Not First, not the other two behind him. Everyone around First, including him, was gone.
The Wu clan boy was just as surprised by the sudden turn of events if not more, "Impossible!"
His expression turned to one of panic as this was completely out of his expectations. And how could it not? Someone was able to comprehend such a difficult law in a place like this?!
"s.p.a.ce energy! Your First brother has cultivated the law of s.p.a.ce!"
Baracus's voice rang in his ears this time.
"Law of s.p.a.ce? The h.e.l.l is that?" Hao Xuan mumbled under his breath.
"Not something you need to care about right now. But you should hurry, he wouldn't be able to hold back that female fox for long. A few minutes at most."
"Un, right," Hao Xuan woke up from his stupor at Baracus's reminder, "Everyone! Attack the beast! Bring him down!" he shouted at the top of his voice.
Hao Xuan released the full force of Emperors Energy as a new pressure fell down on everyone around him. All of their powers were boosted to an extent.
"YES!"
They shouted back in unison.
Several people walked forward and fired off a barrage of long-range attacks. Hao Xuan was one of them. He covered the glaive in Severing energy and fired several slashes aiming for the Wu kid.
The boy was expecting this to an extent and quickly moved back and jumped on the chariot.
"Go!" he whipped the horses who neighed and broke out in a sprint. In less than 2 seconds the chariot was 5 kilometers away when a loud roar echoed in the swamp.
"ROAAR!"
A luminescent purple claw came out of the swamp and caught two of the four horses, dragging them and the entire chariot down with them into the swampy water.
"GO! After him!"
Hao Xuan shouted and starting running in the direction the chariot had fallen down in.
