Chapter 740: You’re Confessing To Me

‘Although that pompous Zhuang Heng is quite unreliable, he’s really devoted to me.’

After several twists and turns, she ended up selecting a director with Tao Wei’s help.
The director was Fang Ting, a graduate student who studied film-directing abroad and worked as an intern for years to acc.u.mulate experience before returning to China this time with the intention of putting her skills and experience to full uese.
Tao Wei seemed to be very satisfied with this young female director and had shown Yan Jinyi many of the short films she had directed. The camera angles were excellent in those films and the micro-expressions of the actors were captured very well.
“Jinyi, I’ve been paying attention to this young lady, Fang Ting. She’s really good.”
“Let’s go with her.”
As soon as the director was finalized, a courier who was wearing a yellow vest, hurriedly ran towards Yan Jinyi, with a large bouquet of flowers in hand.
“h.e.l.lo Miss Yan, here are your flowers.” After shoving the flowers into Yan Jinyi’s arms, the courier scurried away and vanished out of sight before Yan Jinyi could even regain her senses.

“Jinyi, we haven’t even started filming yet. Who sent these flowers?”
Yan Jinyi shot him a glance, seemingly to say, “How would I know?”
“There’s a card here, it’s quite exquisite,” Tao Wei said, pointing to the bouquet.
The card was in the shape of a flower with real petals attached to it, which was indeed quite exquisitely crafted. Yan Jinyi opened the card, only to see that there was a line of words, which were obviously printed on.
They read:
“My heart is already with you.
–Your husband”
‘My husband? Isn’t my husband Huo Xishen?’
‘So this thing is from Huo Xishen?’
She couldn’t help but look at the content on both sides of the card. ‘His heart is with me? So Doggy Huo is indirectly confessing his feelings to me?’
Tao Wei had been craning his neck to peek and after trying for a long time, he finally saw the line of words. “This person is confessing to you, Jinyi. Can you tell me who it is?”
Yan Jinyi rolled up the card to hide the words ‘Your husband’ and pointed to the card. “Are you sure this is a confession?”
“Of course, he said that his heart is with you so that means that you’ve stolen his heart. Is it from a fan? You’d better not let Mr. Huo see this card, lest he gets jealous.”
The corners of Yan Jinyi’s lips rose and she tightened her grip on the bouquet of flowers. ‘So Doggy Huo is really confessing to me, huh?’
She made Tao Wei leave and then immediately called Huo Xishen on the phone.
He picked up very quickly but the background noise was a little rowdy so she reckoned that he should be outside at the moment.
“Milady?”
After Huo Xishen spoke, Yan Jinyi hesitantly asked, “Did… you sent me flowers?”
“Do you like it, Darling?”
‘Seems like the flowers are really from him!’
Yan Jinyi grinned gleefully and asked, “Did you have the store write the content on the card?”
“It’s almost the 20th of May,” Huo Xishen replied without answering her question.
The 20th of May…

Yan Jinyi smiled and said, “Huo Xishen, you’re professing your love to me.”
Huo Xishen didn’t answer.
Yan Jinyi said again firmly, “You’re indeed confessing to me.”
“Are you very happy about that, Darling?”
‘Duh? Of course, I am. It’s so rare to hear these mushy words from Huo Xishen, though he didn’t actually say it to me verbally.’
“Huo Xishen, I’ve decided to go on a date with you on the 20th of May!”
