Chapter 455 - Let’s keep this between us. (3)
Feng Zeyu, however, did not believe in that. He asked a lot of elderlies and all of them told him that giving birth was harmful to the body. As such, the mother would need to intake a lot of nutrients.
He felt that Shu Yan was eating too much vegetables. He wanted her to have a chicken and a fish a day. Then there were also pig feet and bird nest soup. All of them were vital.
“You are not eating enough, Yanyan. Your health is very important. You can lose weight however you want after you have recovered. You can’t do that during yuezi. It will have long-term detrimental effects on your health. You must listen to the elderlies.”
“I really am fine. Look at me. I look healthy, right? And look at how much milk I’m producing. Our baby can’t even eat all of it. I really am fine.” Shu Yan knew that Feng Zeyu cared a lot about her. All she could say was that they had their information from different sources.
In the end, Shu Yan went with Feng Zeyu for another check up at the hospital. She was recovering well and very healthy. Feng Zeyu finally stopped worrying.
After the first month was over, they held their first-month banquet. Shu Yan only invited Third Brother from their hometown. Shu Yan paid particular attention to her heart. She felt nothing. It would seem that the original owner had no more additional wishes.
Li Miaomiao attended the banquet with Shu Jianyang and was surprised when she arrived at Shu Yan’s house. She didn’t know what Shu Yan did exactly, but she had some ideas from what Shu Jianyang had told her from the past.
She figured Shu Yan’s net worth was north of 10 million and for sure would be staying in a big mansion in City Nan. She hadn’t expected Shu Yan’s place to be a house like this.
“This is Yu’s house. The one that I purchased is on the other side. You two can spend the night there or over at Nanfu Mansion. I have a unit over there. I only moved here after I got married.” Shu Yan showed them to her house and gave them a tour before looking at them.
“Here is fine. I like houses with yards. It’s very bright,” said Shu Jianyang with a smile.
Shu Yan had the chauffeur take Shu Jianyang to the hotel the next day. They couldn’t all fit in her car.
“A chauffeur too?” Li Miaomiao had doubted Shu Yan at the beginning but, now that she found out that most of the houses in this stretch belonged to Feng Zeyu and that Shu Yan had her own unit over at Nanfu Mansion and she had a nanny, she bought it a lot more. Now that she saw the chauffeur, she felt that perhaps she had underestimated Shu Yan.
After they had met Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu’s guests and learned more about Shu Yan from them, nevermind about Li Miaomiao, even Shu Jianyang was stunned.
“Yanxue is Shu Yan’s company? How come you never told me?” Xianxue was Li Miaomiao’s favorite clothing brand. She would always go and visit their counter whenever they came out with new designs. She never dreamed that the brand was created by her husband’s cousin.
“I just learned that today as well.” Shu Jianyang, too, was baffled. “I only knew that she was in the clothing business. I never asked for specifics and didn’t know that her business was of this magnitude.”
It was Yanxue! Perhaps not everyone had heard of Yanxue but everyone had heard of Xianyan, Xianxue, and Duoyan. There are no women who didn’t want to wear Xianxue’s clothes and Dueyan’s shoes.
After the first-month banquet was over, Shu Yan felt that Shu Jianyang was looking at her strangely.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Yanxue is yours?” asked Shu Jianyang.
“Me and Ruixue. Hu Ruixue, you’ve met her.” So that was what it was about?
“Here I thought I was accomplis.h.i.+ng. But I was nothing when compared to you.” Shu Jianyang lamented. Had those in the hometown learned of this, for sure they would want to get into her company or borrow money from her. “Let’s just keep it between you and I and don’t tell anyone else in our hometown. Not even Grandma and Grandpa.”
“Don’t worry. I would have said so a lot sooner if I was going to.” Shu Yan chuckled. She trusted Third Brother, which was why she invited him to their banquet in City Nan.
Shu Jianyang told Li Miaomiao to not tell anyone, including her family.
Shu Yan’s life returned to its normal peaceful way after Shu Jianyang had taken off. She spent her days going into work and taking care of her children.
