Chapter 447 - She was only this way in front of Feng Zeyu. (1)

They hadn’t even been looking for long before Shu Yan fell asleep on the couch. When Feng Zeyu saw that, he carried her gently back to the master bedroom, took her shoes off, and pulled the blanket over her before returning to the living room to look over the materials.

It was already 5 o'clock when Shu Yan woke up. She stretched and rubbed her neck. She had been sleeping a lot lately and she had no idea why. It seemed she could never get enough sleep.

“You are awake? I am just about to wake you up for dinner.”

“How come you didn’t wake me up sooner? I won’t be able to sleep at night if I sleep too much in the daytime,” grumbled Shu Yan.

Feng Zeyu lifted his brows, he seemed to recall that just two days ago he came to wake her up exactly so that she wouldn’t sleep too much in the afternoon and Shu Yan, who had always had good temperament, took it out on him.

She seriously asked him not to wake her up in the future and went right back to sleep. In the end, she went right back to sleep again at 9 o'clock that night.

“I felt that I have been possessed by the G.o.d of Sleep lately.” Shu Yan made a joke, her cheeks blushed from her nap.

“Go and wash up. We have your favorite braised pork ball in brown sauce today,” said Feng Zeyu tenderly.

When Shu Yan went downstairs, she saw that Feng Zeyu had already had the soup ready for her. She took a few sips to pad her stomach and a delectable, braised pork ball* appeared next to her mouth. Su Han, on the other hand, frowned and turned away. “Get it away from me. I’m about to throw up.”

Right after she finished saying that, Shu Yan was stunned. Why did this sound so familiar?

She did some calculations, and her period should have started two days ago. It had been two days late, plus her reaction today, Shu Yan’s face changed colors.

“What is it? You are not feeling well?” asked Feng Zeyu nervously.

“It’s nothing. My stomach has been feeling queasy the last few days and I just can’t stomach any meat right now.” Shu Yan pushed the pork b.a.l.l.s toward the children and only had some vegetables and a few mouthfuls of rice.

For some odd reasons, Shu Yan reflexively s.h.i.+ed away from her own speculation.

Once she arrived at the office, Shu Yan cancelled one of her meetings and paced around the office. After her seventh round around her office, Shu Yan told Hu Ruixue that she had some matters to take care of and headed straight toward the hospital.

She needed to know it for certain. What if she wasn’t pregnant?

“It’s still early, you will need to come back in a week for us to be certain.”

Long story short, she was pregnant, but the doctor didn’t want to commit to that result yet. Shu Yan thanked the doctor and was still in disbelief as she walked out of the hospital.

She and Feng Zeyu had been using protection the entire time except for the one time that was the day after her period. She thought that it was her safe period, so she didn’t think much of it. And that was the one time that she got pregnant.

Shu Yan had thought about kids when she agreed to start dating Feng Zeyu. She had two children already, but Feng Zeyu didn’t have any.

What men don’t want their own children? Which was why she leaned toward having one with him. When she accepted Feng Zeyu’s proposal, it represented that she was going to have a child of theirs. She just didn’t think it would happen so soon.

Per her plans, she was to prepare the two children first and only get pregnant when they find the idea less resentful.

Now that she got pregnant right after she had gotten married, would JingJing and Tianbao be able to accept that?

Thinking about the children who had committed suicide when their mothers were pregnant, Shu Yan was afraid to think of the possibility that the kids would object to her pregnancy. And what if they resent it adamantly? Was she really going to give up on her child?

“What’s up with you today? You don’t seem to be all here.” Hu Ruixue, who had been discussing company matters with Shu Yan, noticed that she had been s.p.a.cing out and couldn’t help but ask.
