Let alone an head-on exchange, even a sneak attack would at most wound an upper-tier Ageless Realm cultivator... however, both Xiao Lan and Xu Ling had a cultivation at the peak of the Ageless Realm, and Xu Ling was even half-step into the Immortal Realm! Xu Ling hadn't batted an eye during the whole thing, but now he actually sighed with feeling, "Little Lan, you won't even let two clones get near me? When will I ever get the chance to vent out then! You really..."
Xu Ling shook his head, chuckling bitterly, "Whatever, I guess I'll take it out by taking care of the two originals..."
Hearing all of this, the two dragons, which were mere clones of the original HighG.o.d 'Yin and Yang' Tyrant Dragons – the two Grand Protectors of the Tyrant Dragon Hall – and only had a cultivation of the mid tier Ageless Realm, actually smirked: in their eyes, as soon as their originals got here, not to mention a White Oak s.h.i.+eld, even a hundred of them would not be enough to save Xu Ling and his companions from impending doom!
And such doom would be in the shape of the Yin and Yang Tyrant Dragons; Yang Tyrant Dragon, Oblivion, and Yin Tyrant Dragon, Glory!
"Ohohoh, who would be taking care of whom, exactly? This Lord seems to have misheard a few things, could the ESTEEMED Xu Ling perhaps repeat that one last sentence?" A voice, as deep as an ocean and as overbearing as that of a tyrant that ruled over the entirety of the world, suddenly rang out! The sarcasm was clear, and the contempt even more crystalline as the words reverberated throughout the empty desert dyed crimson with blood.
In the sky, hovering a few thousand feet above the ground, were two gigantic dragons: unlike the two clones on the ground who resembled mere snakes, these two dragons had wings that spanned for miles and a muscular, draconic body completely covered in golden and silver scales, with each scale harder than a diamond could ever hope to be! The source of their dragon flames, the Long-Huo Gem, shone brilliantly on the Yin and Yang Tyrant Dragon's chests, glowing respectively a bright, pure white and a dark, corrupted black. A crest of horns resembling a crown grew atop the dragons' forehead, and tongues of dragon fire could be seen silently burning on their neck and down their back like a fiery mane. The two dragons... were two Tyrant Dragons, husband and wife, Heavenly Beasts that had been living for millennia and had a cultivation of the Immortal Realm, HighG.o.d stage!
The golden Tyrant Dragon, the male, stepped forward. He scanned his surroundings with his HighG.o.d Will and found no trace of Blindlight, or of any other Immortal Realm cultivators for any matter. Seeing this, the beast sneered, and his domineering voice rang out again, "With the Heaven Devouring Dragon not here and nowhere to flee... A single finger of this Lord would be enough to eradicate every single one of you lot! Your puny band of rebels might as well start digging your graves already and save us the trouble!"
The silver Tyrant Dragon, on the other hand, was a female, and her voice was as cold as the arctic winds and as shrill as the sound of metal hitting metal. Her unpleasant voice carried a derisive tone as she added, "Graves? Surely, husband must be joking! They won't be needing such commodities by the time we are done with them! We will be sure not even a single speck of dust remains here! With that, let alone Blindlight, even if the Primordial Emperors themselves were to come then, it wouldn't change a thing!"
The crowd that had been laughing their a.s.ses off just a few instants ago fell silent as an indescribable pressure weighed down on their bodies. The weakest ones had already turned pale and had to rely on the protection of powerful nearby allies' strength in order to resist the urge to kneel on the ground.
Surely enough, the gap between the Immortal and Ageless Realm was nothing to be sneezed at.
While the difference in growth between stages of a same Realm could be said to be mostly multiplicative... when it came to different realms altogether, the growth would actually become exponential! And being able to force an army of thousands to their knees just by BEING, such an insurmountable chasm could not be any clearer! However, although their face may have turned pale... none of the Evil Saint's ranks donned an expression of despair! After all, although right now they all might be facing two fearsome opponents that even the lot of them combined would not be able to defeat... their side also had 'those two'; real monsters that defied common sense!
"Hey Boss... Do you think that a cow's a.s.shole might be jealous of the amount of bulls.h.i.+t that just came out of their mouth?" Xiao Lan chuckled nonchalantly as his aura suddenly spiked, surpa.s.sing the Ancient stage and reaching the peak of the G.o.d stage in the fraction of a breath! A translucent oak tree surrounded his body and the violet glow in his eyes became so blindingly bright it was as if two more violet suns had popped-up into existence!
"I don't know about that..." Xu Ling smiled as a yellow hue spread from his pupils and dyed his blue eyes golden. A gargantuan wheel also appeared behind his back as the illusion of a battlefield and oceans of blood came into existence in his left pupil, while a formless beast snapped its gigantic jaws nonstop, thirsting for flesh, in his right. He lowered his right eyelid and the scene in his left eye lit up: in the following instants, the corpses of the enemies Xiao Lan had slain disappeared from the world and reappeared in there. In his hands, Mirror twirled elegantly, each swing carving deep scars into the tower he was standing on. "What I do know however is that if someone were to call me an idiot, I sure as h.e.l.l wouldn't have opened my mouth to prove it. On that matter, I guess Tyrant Dragons do live up to their reputation as being the worst insult to one's intelligence."
Silence once again fell on the field, as the only sound that could be heard in a ten-mile radius was that of stifled laughter... and teeth grinding so fiercely they almost cracked!
"Grah! Evil Saint, you dare!" The golden dragon's Long-Huo Gem suddenly lit up as dragon flames erupted from the beast's body, accompanied by a loud, dragon cry! Never in his long life had he, a mighty Tyrant Dragon, been disrespected like so! And not only had those harsh insults come out one after the other without leaving them a chance to fight back... but the blasphemous mouths that had dared utter them actually belonged to two weak, puny humans! Had it not been for the fact he wished to regain his lost face, Oblivion would have long since blasted all those below him into... well… OBLIVION!
The silver dragon's temper was much different than the golden dragon's, as she managed to control the tone of her voice and the glow of the Long-Huo Gem on her chest had also only fluctuated once before going back to normal, resulting in no flames coming out. At the same time however, she had also been enraged more than she had ever been, and as such, she also couldn't help but mutter through her gritted teeth, "You... Are... Courting... Death!" The Yin Tyrant Dragon spat out those four words with extreme hatred and prejudice, as if they were the deadliest of venoms... However, how could she have ever imagined that the two 'lowly' humans down there had no intention of stopping!
Not letting go of the occasion, the Evil Saint's lips parted once again,"Woah, woah, slow down there, old hag!" Xu Ling chuckled and rested Mirror on his shoulder as he twirled a strand of his long, raven hair, "If I truly wished to die, all I'd have would have been to climb up your idiocy and jump down to your IQ, why would I make it so hard on myself as pus.h.i.+ng my head so far up your a.s.s to see where you're coming from?"
This time, the stifled laughter... well, was no longer stifled. The Evil Saint's companions were flat out roaring, completely forgetting about the fact the two huge-a.s.s dragons were two HighG.o.d stage Heavenly Beasts.
And before Glory could rebate, Xiao Lan had already pitched in, "Hey boss, I think I have a theory on how to tell whether a Tyrant Dragon is saying something stupid or not... ask me about it?"
"Mm?" Xu Ling's eyes glinted with amus.e.m.e.nt, "Sure, do go ahead. How do you tell when a Tyrant Dragon is saying something idiotic?"
"It's actually pretty simple..." Xiao Lan raised his index finger, "You just need to check whether they are moving their lips!"
"GRAAAAAH!" With that roar, the Yang Tyrant Dragon's cultivation base rotated faster than it had ever had as he pounced upon the White Oak s.h.i.+eld below: thirteen thousand years; that was how long he had been alive for. In thirteen thousand years, thanks to his ident.i.ty as a Tyrant Dragon, he had never been disrespected in the least bit... yet now, he was the target of such vicious insults! How could he possibly hold back? The Long-Huo Gem glowed as bright as a star as a black fire that seemed to have emerged from the depths of the earth erupted from his ma.s.sive body! With an enraged roar and imbuing all his might on that one blow, Oblivion slammed its draconic claws onto the gargantuan White Oak s.h.i.+eld! Please go to to read the latest chapters for free
