Caesar was surprised, but he didn't lose his cool. After all, the fact that one of the royals of Limbo kingdom was among the council of Requiem was very likely—it would be simply foolish for them not to be. It was an underground organization that funneled money into its own pockets, both illegally and legally. They hid under the protection of their clever facade and the nations might. Not to mention the influence that Ibrahim still held over the kingdom, even though he had already given the crown to his first born child.

Ibrahim was an intelligent and self-made man, so he knew what an individual with talent and ruthlessness looked like. He felt as though Caesar's appearance was fate. Ibrahim, himself, was only a human, so his life was bound to end sooner or later. His son had inherited the throne, but there had yet to be someone who was capable of deriving the underground business from his tight grasp.

With this in mind, he curled his lips and greeted Caesar with a nod of his head, tapping his cane onto the ground. The rest of the council member sat there in silence, gazing at Ibrahim with respect in their eyes. They were all aware of his power, influence, and the fact that he was the leader of the underground dealings.

Black even took it upon himself to set down the contract he was signing and greet Ibrahim with a grand bow. Afterward, the other members followed in suit, besides Caesar. He was a prideful man and wouldn't bow to Ibrahim for no reason. It was not in his blood to be submissive. Of course, the old man didn't mind his slightly rude gesture and pulled out a chair for himself to sit in.

He then crossed his arms on the table and snapped his fingers, causing a dozen or so butlers to enter the room with an extensive map. They were dressed in form-fitted suits that accentuated their well-trained physique. Their expressions were stoic as they laid the map onto the table, garnering the attention of all those present.

The map not only showed the Azure continent but the other continents as well. The boundless continent to the east, the Fleeting Cloud, was a tad bit more vibrant than the others. On the other hand, the frozen wastelands to the north weren't very detailed in the slightest. It was clear that not many people knew what the north held, nor did they actually care. It was not a place that humans could civilize without an astronomical sum to help them.

Caesar scrutinized all of this within a few moments and directed his attention back to Ibrahim, who was smiling deviously. Likewise, the others all looked up toward him, confused. "When I was a young man, the world was in a strikingly similar situation," he opened his aged lips, "the church ruled all, and the countries in the azure continent curried favor with them."

He paused, scanning the room. "My age has slowly started to get the best of me, rendering me unable to see a new future, a future in which I have dreamed of since I was a child. The species in the dark continent are starting to move, and even the frozen wastelands have started to infringe upon the azure continent. Legendary and extinct creatures are starting to wake up and come out of hiding, such as the gryphons and earth dragons. The world is about to change, and it is time to take advantage of this."

Ibrahim stood up from his chair and chuckled dryly, "I have decided to share this information with my dear council members after much deliberation. Do with it as you will, I will not force you to do anything. However, just know that the opportunity to expand is stronger than ever!"

As he spoke to here, he snapped his fingers and left with the group of butlers, glancing at Caesar's figure with a slight smile. His main objective was complete, even if the other council members were mere businessmen, they would start salivating over the conquerable lands.

One he departed, the room returned into its previous peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Ibrahim left just as quickly as he came, stating his objective and leaving soon after. It wasn't until a few minutes had pa.s.sed that Black and the others recollected themselves, continuing to sign the contract.

Caesar was a man of little words with people as incompetent as Black, so he simply s.n.a.t.c.hed the contract once it was complete and stood up from the table. He scanned the room with his vermillion eyes and smiled slyly, "It was a pleasure to meet the group of colors, but I must retire for the night… I have important business to attend to." he said in a dignified manner, not caring for their influence at all.

It was clear that Ibrahim thought highly of him, so he wasn't worried about eternal strife. If it were before, he would probably act with respect, but now, he could throw his weight around with worrying about the consequences. Of course, the others could also vividly see that Caesar was acquainted with their boss, so none of them took his rude behavior to heart, no, they couldn't even afford to.

Caesar's main objective was complete; acquiring an adequate way to defend his caravans and receive enough workers to ma.s.s produce "his" inventions. His main goals in Limbo kingdom had been achieved, and he even knew how to evolve without much trouble, albeit, it was partially quite simple.

He left the room with long strides and walked down the stairs, not even sparing a glance toward the dozen or so guards that littered the halls. He loosened the collars on his suit and dusted off his trousers as he sauntered toward the door, a confident and arrogant aura emanating from his body.

His time in Limbo kingdom was coming to an end, so there was no longer a need to stay low-key, nor be fearful of his image. He quickly departed from the grand mansion and readorned his mask so that the ordinary pedestrians didn't see him leave the premise. He then quickened his pace back toward the Inn and decided to inform Joe of their impending departure.

As he moved from rooftop to rooftop, he squinted his eyes and felt a sense of forgetfulness. He had been meaning to find the two adventurers he had paid, but they had never even returned to the inn. Confused, Caesar stroked his chin whilst scaling the rooftops, a strange smile playing on his lips.
