After caging the flame-bears, Caesar made his way out of the training grounds and headed towards the energetic town. He adorned a rather casual outfit, black trousers, brown shoes, and a relatively plain white tunic. As such, his appearance wasn't nearly as eye-catching as it normally was.

He trotted across the erratic streets full of food vendors, citizens, and guards. Many carts full of fruit and other valuables were being pulled across the roads, further accentuating Rahvin kingdoms vibrancy.

Although the summer temperature was almost unbearable, many street performers and merchants alike still marketed their goods. They dressed in loose clothing and attempted to coax their customers in buying their products at an inflated price.

At the side of the wide road, a handsome young man with wavy, blonde hair stood. His piercing blue eyes attracted all sorts of customers, mainly women, as he played his lute elegantly. His sharp facial features made him appear more manly and reliable, whilst also possessing a strange charm.

His hair rippled with the wind as he exaggeratedly shook his body to the tune of the lute. His performance was rather good and many pedestrians flung coins into the nearby bowl at his feet. Even some of the cuter and single gals gazed upon him seductively, as if they were charmed.

After a few more moments, he suddenly stopped playing his instrument and glanced at Caesar, who was observing him. He smiled lightly and nodded his head, casting a wink in Caesar's direction before resuming his performance.

Caesar did not return his greeting and simply walked away, not at all interested in someone of his demeanor. Caesar had met many people who had used their charisma to go further in life, however, in the end, they only disappointed. If anyone had listened closely, they would have easily realized that his tune had much to be desired.

Instead, most of the pedestrians were entranced by his graceful actions and appearance. As such, Caesar quickly lost interest and quickened his pace toward the merchants guild. He had many things to achieve and discuss with Veronica.

Without garnering any more unnecessary attention, he soon arrived at the large merchants guild building. He pushed aside the thick doors and walked inside, immediately being greeted by a few long lines of people waiting for their turn at the counter.

The younger crowd had taken jobs from the merchants guild to procure resources from various strong animals. While the older crowd was more interested in purchasing said resources or obtaining a business license.

These people were referred to as mercenaries or adventurers. They were given different ranks based on their strength and capabilities. Some of the missions that entailed procuring resources required a certain level of strength, which also resulted in a handsome reward. Thus, these missions were highly sought after by some of the stronger humans.

Unfortunately, these jobs were extremely dangerous and the death-rate was quite high. Thus, many adventurers remained at a low level, too apprehensive of progressing. Because of this, the truly strong adventurers were rather respected in the world and given merits by the larger kingdoms.

If Caesar's memory served him correctly, the adventurer ranks were wood, bronze, iron, silver, gold, adamant.i.te, Diamond, and lastly, hero. They were the strongest mercenaries and fighters within the Azure continent, solidifying their position as one of the super-powers within the world.

If the Fleeting Clouds continent was ruled by the church and the Dark continent was ruled by the strong dark races. Then the Azure continent was ruled by the merchants guild, adventurers, and strong human kingdoms.

Thinking to here, Caesar dallied for a few more moments before pus.h.i.+ng his way through the excess number of people. He hated crowded and secluded places, especially when they were filled with prep.u.b.escent teenagers who knew nothing of personal hygiene.

The stench of sweat and body odor was overwhelming and Caesar was forced to scrunch up his nose as he made his way to the upper level of the merchants guild. He was fiercely glared at as he rudely pushed his way through the younger men.

However, his abnormal appearance and scowl were enough to make any younger man tremble within their boots. Thus, he was not interrupted and soon made his way to the stairs, in which he proceeded to quickly ascend them and barge into Veronicas room without knocking.

Immediately, a sharp pen was flung in his direction as he entered the room. A half-dressed Veronica who was attempting to cool off from the heat was crouching down behind the desk. A deep blush was present on her face as she frowned at Caesar.

Without a care in the world, Caesar s.n.a.t.c.hed the quill pen out of the air and sat down at the desk. He didn't even need glance at the crouching veronica before taking out a long s.h.i.+rt from his storage ring and tossing it at her.

"In the future, it would be best if you locked the door before changing" Caesar suggested as he folded his legs and picked up a few pieces of paper scattered on the desk. Veronica could only grind her teeth angrily as she begrudgingly redressed and sat back down on her chair.

She stroked her long, raven black hair and once again regained her professional look. As if the previous event had never happened, she starting dabbing her quill pen into ink and writing a few words on paper.

"I'm glad that you've finally shown yourself," Veronica said, "Without you present, our company was stagnating and I was forced to do everything myself. However, I kept most of the important doc.u.ments in a safe place for you to handle when you arrived."

As she spoke to here, she reached into her desk and pulled out a thick stack of papers, letters, and even bank-notes. A mocking smile formed on Veronica's lips as she calculated the sheer number of doc.u.ments, this was her way of getting revenge on Caesar for leaving her alone in Rahvin kingdom.

"Also, I have already implemented the plans you have ordered me to do last night," Veronica said, "however, please refrain from entering my office when I'm sleeping… It's unsightly and lessens my opinion of your manners."

Caesar didn't respond straight away and grabbed a few of the papers on top. Instead of talking, he went straight to work and signed his signature when needed and replied to letters worth replying to.

His hand moved at an extraordinary pace and seemed to even waft up a small gust of wind as he wrote. His eyes darted from word to word as he swiftly made quick work of the large stack of doc.u.ments, finis.h.i.+ng them up within a mere hour.

Afterward, he stood up from the desk and stretched his limbs, "I'll transmit you a letter so that you can withdraw some of my money from the palace" he said as he made his way to the door. His whole person carrying the aroma of ink.

Veronica was first taken aback before quickly seizing hold of herself, "what are you going to do about that invitation I placed at the bottom? Are you not going to reply?" she asked nervously, both of her hands slightly trembling.

"I need to settle a few more things in Rahvin kingdom before departing," Caesar said, " however, I suppose it would be a good idea to acquire some more business partners. Nonetheless, I need to do a bit more research on this group before even thinking about joining them"

As his words ended, he took out a small piece of paper from his pocket and scribbled a few words on it before pa.s.sing it to Veronica. "Take good care of it, and recruit some more promising individuals… I'm tired of entering the merchants guild to do business. Also, I'll be paying a visit to our workshop soon" Caesar spoke whilst stretching his neck and exiting Veronica's room.

As the door behind him was slammed shut, m.u.f.fled laughter escaped from his lips as he made his way down the stairs. "I believe I now have a good idea of who sent those a.s.sa.s.sins at Ahri, how funny. Turbulent waves are going to spread through this world soon, I wonder how I should respond?" Caesar whispered to himself as he descended the staircase.
