Hearing that Desmond was in charge made him a little annoyed but he could only accept Riku's orders. He quickly followed Desmond seeing the hospital was overrun. The demons had planned out this attack something most demons would never do. he stood there formulating a plan to offer Desmond. before he could fully plan one out Desmond barked out orders. He sighed at the fact he seemed to get the less important job. He pointed the stone of the staff at the ground before flying up into the air with a gust of wind. As he flew up he noticed there managed to be a few of the regular guards fighting to protect people. He wanted to fly down and save them but he knew better then to disobey orders. When his feet touched the gravel on the roof he let out a sigh. the people screaming and crying only seemed to echo out worse. He gritted his teeth cursing Desmond a moment before noticing something. He could see most of the city seeing as the hospital was a higher floor. He closed his eye bringing up a mental map of the city. He could see a path to the north bunker that had a lot less damage to the city. He blinked a few times before feeling something close. He dove to the right just as a large spike ball slammed into the ground where he was standing. He looked over seeing demons were climbing on to the roof.
He thought about something as he was dodging the incoming ball on a chain. Demons were attracted to large sums of mana. That meant him being on the roof allowed him to draw in nearby demons and able to fight. seeing how he couldn't take a direct hit like Desmond being out in the open like this gave him a greater chance in combat. Thats when it hit him like a brick to the head. Desmond had saw the hospital and figured out the best stance the two could take. had Edin had to fight his way through the hospital he would have been at a disadvantage. He formed a ball of wind in his hand diving out from cover as the ball smashed through the vents he was hiding by. He fired the wind out like a cannon shot. the demon barely dodged as the one behind him was blasted to shreds. Edin realized from the attack pattern and the way the demons were less then there should be for his mana level. this one was leading this group of demons. Edin rolled to another bit of cover setting his hand on the ground. he could hear the demons coming closer that he slowly started counting in his head. Just as he got down to 1 from 25 he jumped into the air dodging the ball of spikes again. as the ball touched the seal on the ground it became engulfed in a pillar of ice. Edin rushed forwards as his foot dug into the gravel causing him to slip a little but not enough to slow him down.
The demon roared out trying to pull its ball free as he noticed Edin closing in quickly. He heard the smash of ice freeing the ball yanking it back. Just as the ball arrived he had his view blocked a mere second. When the demon lowered the ball a little he noticed Edin had disappeared. It took him a second to realize Edin was below him. Before the leader demon could roar out a large stone spike drove up through his body. The other demons watched on in shock as their leader was now turned into a display piece. They began rus.h.i.+ng forwards with more abandonment trying to kill edin as he dodged around blasting them apart. As the first survivors arrived they saw the sight of demon chunks blasted across roof top.
Edin saw the survivors grinning a little as he held out his hand. before long a large stone pathway that drove right through the middle of the city. "get in the hole and run or wheel what ever it takes to get to the north bunker. its the safest place in the city as its the furthest from the current war zone." he ordered to them looking at the hole of the pathway. they quickly started to rush as Edin became tied up with another demon fighting for his life.
