"Me?" Shen Mochen raised his brows and replied briskly, "Art cla.s.s."

"In that case, I'm joining the art cla.s.s too," said Peach as she clenched her small fists with determination before she spun around and ran down the stairs.

"Hey… There's a test…" Before Shen Mochen could complete his sentence, Peach had run away.

The entry test for the art cla.s.s was very simple. After all, they were all first and second graders who were likely to not possess much artistic skills. The main aim of the test was simply to gauge their interest and talent in art.

For the test, the students were required to draw any ten objects as their homework.

At the moment, the art teacher for the art cla.s.s, Mr. Xu, was standing at the teacher's desk, looking through the sketchbooks that each student had cheerily submitted for the test.. Each time he called out a student's name, they were invited to the front of the cla.s.s to share with the cla.s.s about their drawings.

"Let's take a look at the work of the first student." Mr. Xu reached out and randomly grabbed a sketchbook with the name "Peach Su" on it and flipped through the sketchbook.

Mr Xu announced, "Peach Su, please come to the front to share with everyone about your drawing."

"Present!" Peach called out, jumping out of her seat and galloping to the teacher's desk.

The extrcurricular art cla.s.s was held in the art cla.s.sroom and the students were seated at random. Each student had a drawing board in front of them.

Seated in the front row, Shen Mochen looked up. When he saw Peach's excited face, he shuddered.

Last night, Peach had begged him for a long time to help her with her drawing but he had refused. Out of spite, she finished drawing ten things in just five minutes. He had her feeling that her drawings would be dreadful.

Opening Peach's sketchbook to the first page, Mr. Xu showed the cla.s.s Peach's drawing.

Shen Mochen took a quick glance and saw that it was a leaf. Fortunately, the drawing was not too horrendous.

"Let's take a look at what Peach has drawn." Pointing at the leaf, Mr. Xu looked at Peach with a smile and asked, "This looks like a leaf. What kind of leaf is this?"

"…" Peach hesitated for a split second before looking at Mr.Xu timidly. Embarra.s.sed, she admitted, "Mr. Xu, I was drawing a dumpling…"

"…" Mr. Xu's smile froze on his face.

"…" Shen Mochen looked at Peach in disbelief.

"This … The shape is somewhat similar to a dumpling. I suppose I interpreted the drawing wrongly…" Mr. Xu wiped away the beads of perspiration off his face and nodded his head, praising Peach, "Peach's drawing of the dumplings are very good."

Turning to the second page of the sketchbook, Mr. Xu carefully examined the drawing for a long time. He felt that he could still identify the object in Peach's drawing. It had to be a wheel. Certain of his answer, he commented loudly, "This wheel is very vivid…"

"That … Mr. Xu… is a drawing of a cut orange…" Peach scratched her head sheepishly, embarra.s.sed at having to correct Mr Xu's mistake again.

"Umm…" Mr. Xu suddenly felt like it was exceptionally hot in the cla.s.sroom. So hot that he kept on perspiring…

"It's a pretty good drawing. Not bad…"

Peach looked at Mr. Xu apprehensively, wondering if her third drawing would be interpreted wrongly again.

Mr. Xu turned to the third page and stared at the drawing for what seemed like an eternity. On the paper, there was only a figure somewhat similar to brackets, except that it was plumper than brackets.
