Arachnomancer 44 Intruder

While reading through the information on vampires, I hear a loud metallic grinding noise. Metal.... Kess? I immediately shoot up and run towards the workzone that Kess has been digging in with Vulki and Xelu lagging behind. When I get there I see a small figure bundled up in a coc.o.o.n and Kess with a white scratch mark on her leg. Looking closely it resembles a human but with slitted eyes and scales cover a portion of it's face.

"Gin, we have an intruder!.... I caught her and she scratched a little. Can.... I have it?" Kess

"Tivolk desant Kriltook!" Intruder

Vulki hears this and scowls.

"Translation?" Gin

"You'd rather not know. Nothing of any importance." Vulki

"????What the h.e.l.l is a human doing in these parts?" Intruder

I don't get it. it sneaked into this nest and now it is asking what I'm doing here? I can't tell the gender as it's facial features are no help..... Well, thinking on that question, I guess it is weird for me to be living with a nest of spiders....

"I live here. Now what are 'you' doing here." Gin

"Well, I heard humans are more trustworthy then those f.u.c.king drow..... I was a slave that they were going to use as cannon fodder. When they used us as sacrifices for their spell, I hid and managed to escape. Luckily, I had a defect in my collar. Otherwise.... I would be a pile of magic goo." Intruder

I bring Vulki to the side as the lizard person starts swearing out Kess.

"Do you have any idea on whats this all about?" Gin

"Drow enslave plenty of creatures. This one should be from the 'Union'. I don't know about the specific species though.... I've never seen one quite like that one..... Back to the matter, drow usually bring slaves when they go to war or in their skirmishs. Mainly to use as cannon fodder or sacrifices to use for large scale spells. I'm just stunned that their was a surviver." Vulki

She confirms that information. What's so suprising about a survivor though. I ask her and she explains how slavery works in drow society. It is either done through a collar or a tattoo. Collars are known to have problems and tattoos are much more reliable. However, certain individuals enjoy using collars for some sick reasons. Collars are apparently very volatile and have been known to choke slaves to death or explode at random times.

Thinking on the matter I bring the others away and leave a few spiderlings as guards.

"So what are your opinions on what I should do?" Gin

It is important to get more input in the matter.

"Can't I have her?" Kess

"Kill her." Set

"Educate?" Xelu

"Just feed her Xelu's web flesh. I turned out fine." Vulki

Hmmm..... Surprisingly useless inputs have been given.... Kess and Set's choices are basically the same. Xelu is confused about the whole issue. Vulki's.... Well I'd rather not go through that again. I do have an open slot for a broodmother.... I don't even know it is a female. Can a male become a broodmother?

A s.h.i.+ver runs down my spine as my thoughts turn a weird direction. That is until I hear yells from the place we left the lizard person.We quickly return to see Vulki's spiderlings ordering Xelu's spiderlings to use their tentacles to....

"STOP! STOP!" Gin

"Ahhh. If only I had the same aspects that Xelu has I could-...." Vulki

I get a few confused looks from the spiderlings and Xelu while I hear Vulki mumble something weird. The lizard person is covered in a weird slime. I see tears build up as it looks at me....

"Pervert...." Intruder

She starts sobbing as a notification comes up to show that she has submitted and that she is extremely compatible to be a broodmother..... I swore to myself that I wouldn't.... These four are already a pain to deal with.....

"Master, I change my mind, I think she should be a.s.similated into a broodmother." Set

"Why'd you change your mind?" Gin

"Well, I feel bad for her and she is not really corrupt. I just wanted to kill her at first but, it seems that you are really against that despite her stabbing Kess..... Seems to be the only option unless you don't mind the possibility of a ma.s.sive leak of information....." Set

I didn't expect Set to think on this matter so much. Looking at the notification I see that she is extremely compatible just as Vulki was so, I don't need to worry about another Xelu being created..... I'm really not a good person huh. Well lets go with it. I select Yes. The lizard person is whisked away leaving an empty coc.o.o.n.

I get a few options for aspects but, I leave it for now..... If I can aquire a way to somehow erase things from minds then I wouldn't need to worry so much about a leak. Both Vulki and this lizard person ended up being a.s.similated due to it being the only option that I wanted to choose. I want to prevent myself from becoming a ruthless killer..... There was technically enough reason for me to kill Vulki when she was a drow and also to kill this lizard person as she attacked Kess but, if you look for it, you can easily find reasons to kill anyone.

Just because someone slights you doesn't mean you should kill them or even burn in thoughts of revenge. Admittedly, when the drow scouts almost killed Xelu I raged a little. Even if she had died I could resummon her. However the sight of Xelu protecting me and getting chunks blown out of her had a huge impact. On top of that, those drow did that with full malicious intent so, I don't regret anything that I did..... Or that I had Vulki do....

Anyways I take a look at the aspects that are available and go into thought on what I should choose.
