Edwin woke up at around five in the morning, he took a shower and put his clothes and started to contemplate what to do. He decided to focus on runes first since they were the most useful. He was joyed that he can make runes now, runes were symbols made by using mana and were activated by mana like a battery all you had to do is recharge them with mana.

Runes can be made by using normal objects so it can be made with anything though the quality of the object can strengthen the properties of the runes.

Like if you were to compare a sports car to a junk car you know which would run smooth. Runes had all sorts of properties not just for offensive and defensive, for example, he can apply a void rune on a ring or bag to make the object have a small pocket dimension so he can store many things in it.

The higher of level the stronger the rune comparing rank 1 to rank 10 runes was like comparing heaven and earth rank 1 runes can even bring people literally back from the dead if the soul was not gone, but that for another time.

Edwin thought to enhance himself by applying runes to his clothing and items he first applied a speed rune to the bottom of his sneakers which increased his movement speed by 2 times of his ordinary speed.

He then drew a defense rune on his on his white T-s.h.i.+rt that would cover his body with a thin transparent barrier if an attack from any direction for 2 minutes a day.

On his black hoodie he put a strength rune which doubles his strength by 2 times, and on his belt, he put a puppet rune which would let it come to life momentary and protect him from any enemy near him for 3 times a day.

Last he added element s.h.i.+elding runes and a cleaning rune to all to all the all his clothing.

The elemental s.h.i.+elding protected his clothes from the elements so his clothes couldn't get damaged by normal elements such as fire or water and so on, which basically means he can stand in the rain and not a spec would touch him.

" Now I'm fully armored up for now a least, hmm come to think of it I didn't check what this kid had in his pockets better take a look in case there's something important" after checking the pockets he found some useful things such as his ID card, a lighter, a pack of cigarettes, and a cellphone.

It looks like that the Edwin from before was a chain smoker, and has pa.s.sed his addiction to the current Edwin. "Dammit, kid didn't your parents teach you not to use drugs!!!."
