It has been ten years since Dryad and Ariama separated. Amphia arrived to inform him that an arranged marriage has been prepared for him in his absence and he had to go. Of course it was a joke but he had to return back to Paradise immediately. The head G.o.ds called for him, so he left.
Amphia thrashed Dryad before they left. This made her angry and she never got to apologise or listen to Ariama's apology. They parted sorrowfully and angrily.
Dryad continued to plant daughter trees after her High Priestess and Priest had laid the foundation. New Head Priestesses and Priests had been appointed but their leaders were still Ditoria and Eldor. All of them had corresponding precious green gemstones on their foreheads. Not even the priests in the Church of Water had blue gemstones in their heads.
All nineteen continents have been covered and only the one Ilerisa lived in was untouched. Dryad sent home her High Priestess and Priest just so she could deal with him alone. He was one of the causes of her problems and she had deep hatred for him.
She moved from country to country, planting beliefs and trees. Where Ilerisa stayed was at the top of the continent where water was in most concentration. For this mission, she had to use level four curse seeds and the highest level of curse seeds were level five. That is to show that the arrays in the biggest continents were all strong.
She arrived in Menlin Capital after two years and stayed with a young family. The man of the house and his wife were both high affinity water elementals. Their child was still grey as she was too young to have an affinity. However, the child was sick with an incurable disease.
Dryad cured this disease at the cost of having the piece of land at the back. The young couple were overjoyed and gifted the land to her. They were not suspicious as she appeared blue skinned to them.
First thing she did was to build a fence around the piece of land. Next she decomposed the stones to form humus soil and then she started planting. She did this for two months diligently with Shadow watching her.
"Lady Dryad, may I say something?"
"Yes Shadow?"
"You miss Lord Ariama, don't you?"
"I do but I'm still mad at him. He hid something important from me"
"But you hid something from him too. You both committed the same offence. Why is it hard to make up?"
"It's because we both have complicated feelings and we don't know how to properly apologise"
"You have been together for more than three hundred years, played together, slept together, ate together and still you don't know how to properly apologise? Forgive me my lady but I don't still understand. You are clearly sad and heartbroken without him here. I see it everyday when you tend to your plants" Dryad let out a bitter laugh as she heard this.
"You are right Shadow but where do I find him? Where do I get to tell him about this new feeling of pain, sadness, loneliness and love? Where is my precious G.o.d friend, who taught me how to talk and walk? I have now realised that without him, I have no real purpose. I miss him a lot. But....He's not here. He hasn't been for the last ten years" she replied, tears streaming down her cheeks.
The one who comforted her when she cried for the first time in her life. The one who was there to guide her when she was just an infant G.o.d. The one who taught her how to walk, talk, sing and paint. The one who taught her the mysteries of the world. The one who her heart belonged to. Where was he?
"Where the h.e.l.l are you Ariama!" She yelled into the night sky. All the creations on that plant trembled and tears streamed down their eyes. From humans to animals to plant, all of them were affected by the sorrow and heartbreak of their G.o.ddess. It is said that when a G.o.ddess cries, the whole world cries. The world is filled with her heartfelt sorrow as all creatures find it hard to breathe.
Far away in the galaxy, the three thrones were occupied. The white G.o.d stared blankly into the universe as tears streamed from his eyes. His heart couldn't bear the sorrow of his love. Simour and Bolsa's expression were solemn as they stared at their brother. All the G.o.ds felt pain coming from their immortal souls. Every soul in the universe felt pain.
This went on for a long while. When the two G.o.ds finally put their emotions in check, the whole universe finally calmed itself.
"So, this is the sorrow of a head G.o.d, ehn? I wonder who broke the heart of the G.o.d of soul?" Ilerisa mumbled and clucked this tongue. Little did he know that this event marked his end.
Two months pa.s.sed uneventful for Dryad again. She was really starting to get bored. It was like the heavens answered her prayers for entertainment when she heard the announcement of a tournament. It was called the tournament of G.o.ds and it was the biggest in the world.
Different powerful elementals gathers from all over to fight and determine who was the best in the world. The winning prizes were ernomous and the number one had the chance to see their G.o.d and collect his blessings.
Dryad recognised this as an opportunity to kill Ilerisa in front of the whole world and tell them the truth even if it was a trap. She could lead a team of elementals and make people recognise wood as the most powerful element.
Thus, she invited her High Priestess and Priests and the rest of the Head Priestesses and Priests from all over the world to gather and partic.i.p.ate in this tournament. This was their final mission as missionaries.
Shadow clearly saw that she was excited. This was the first time she was happy without Ariama. It please Shadow to no end.
"If Ariama knew you had a mind of your own and you are not a puppet, he will blow his fuse" Dryad commented when it showed it's observation. Shadow laughed and continued the preparations.
The tournament was in a month and the venue was an island located in the biggest continent. That was where Ilerisa lived. While she prepared for the tournament, she was thinking of various ways to kill him. In the end, she couldn't decide so she headed to the island with her team.
When she arrived and saw the mult.i.tude there, she licked his lips in excitement and antic.i.p.ated the battles to come.
