Year 2013. Ingrid and Liane were in a favorite café hanging out and was having a great time sipping their coffee, when suddenly Ingrid Howard says to Liane "I am not getting any younger, Liane." She was feeling low these past few days and she felt empty despite the success of her career.

"Haha we both are. So, what are your plans?" Liane Brown stared at her directly.

They were bestfriends since college and Liane is a gentle lady, while she was the opposite: the tough one. Her colleagues were intimated by her presence, because she could be tough and harsh against her enemies, she is capable to do anything despite the odds she might face yet caring to those whom she loves. Only Liane knows who she is.

Even when they were in college, their cla.s.smates would often asks Liane why she became bestfriends with her, knowing that she was coldhearted while Liane was sweet. Liane would always smile sweetly and say,

"You really don't know see her good side, do you? For me, she is the most amazing and strong person I've ever met. Wish I could be like her." Their cla.s.smates would often smirk every time she said those words.

"I want to have a baby," she declared with a firm tone. "What?!" shocked was written all over Liane's face. "My goodness, Ingrid! Are you serious?!" her sweet tone suddenly changed. "Where did you get that idea? Why–?" Liane was lost in words. Ingrid chuckled looking at her bestfriend's beautiful face.

"Yes, I am serious." She said while a smile still plastered on her lips.

Liane suddenly became silent and fell into deep thinking. Between them, Liane would always be the sweetest and nicest person, her suitors would line up to her while Ingrid would always be left out.

Not because she is ugly, in fact, she is very beautiful, she has exquisite eyes with long eye lashes, pouty lips, heart shaped face, voluptuous body but she hides it by wearing medium sized clothes while Liane is small faced, thin lips and almond shaped eyes and has slim body.

"I know, you have thought about this," Liane just gave her a rea.s.suring smile;

"I will support you in this." Ingrid became teary eyed. "You are the best in the world, sis."

Weeks pa.s.sed by after Ingrid shared her plans to Liane and she went to a fertility clinic alone to see the best doctor, which happened to be her friend back in high school.

"Hi, doctor Sam, it's nice to see you again, after many years." Ingrid smiled genuinely. "Oh my! Ingrid, is that you? Gosh, you still look so gorgeous after all these years." Ingrid blushed.

"After all these years, Sam, you still know how to compliment me." She laughed. After several minutes, Ingrid became serious.

"Doc, I need your help. I want to get pregnant and it's only you who could help me." The doctor smiled, "Okay, let's gets down to business."

After several hours, "it's settled then. I'll schedule you next week for the IVF and please take a week's off and don't come here stressed, okay? I guess, I'll see you in a week's time." Ingrid smiled. "I'll see you next week. By the way, I don't want to know the donor's ident.i.ty, as long as he meets my qualifications. The money is not a problem." They shook hands and she left.

Moments later in doctor Sam's office, a tall, handsome with exuding aura of authority, broad shouldered gentleman appeared. Sam was startled "Mr. Briggs, what a plesant surprise! What can I do for you?"

His eyes was looking at her with such intensity that the doctor feels uneasy yet remained calm. "I am here to donate."

The doctor was wide eyed when she heard the man and suddenly she remembered someone, she then smiled widely.

"It's an honor, sir. Would you like to drink anything?" The doctor sighed and told herself 'is this fate?'
