Various explosions are heard all across the battlefield outside the phoenix's ruins. The explosions and slashes are heard for almost a month now outside the barrier of the phoenix's clan. At first, the battles outside were short. As the days came by, more and more hollows started to show up at the base of the mountain where the phoenix clan resides. If weren't for the three maidens protecting it, the village would have perished under the hollow's invasion.

As for the three maidens, all of them still remain the same as they were a month ago. They still protect the village awaiting their male companion to finish the trial. At first, they thought he could complete the trial only a few days. In the end, they had to wait for a month. The battles were easy from the start but more and more of them started to show up later. The pattern of the attacks depends on the days pa.s.sed by. At first, none of them show up for a few days before attacking in small groups again. Then another few days before the next wave come. The same pattern until their current battle. Probably regrouping before initiating their attack wave.

Battles last minutes now dragged almost hours as more and more started to show up. What bothers these maidens are the new type of hollow emerged one month ago. The gigantic Menos Grande started to show up a week after the first one pushed back by Yun Che a month ago. But, these Menos started to show up one after another causing these maidens some trouble.

One of the maidens easily defeated the Menos Grande one after another as she managed to deflect all the cero attacks from the Menos. However, the same thing can't be say for the other two. At first, they managed to counter and killed several of those things but as time pa.s.sed by, stronger ones emerged by tearing the air as easy as tearing a paper.

"Shoooo" The cero fired towards the barrier and but before it hits, a shadow flew in front and instantly blocked it. Thus, creating a cloud of smoke in the air.

The other two shouted seeing the explosion created when the cero hit her. "Sister Retsu?!?"

"I am okay. These things didn't hurt at all." The maiden deflected the Cero and emerged from the cloud of smoke after the it hits her. When looked closely, she was actually floating in the air after deflecting such powerful attacks from the Menos. The maiden was Retsu herself. She was still beautiful and the same as a month ago. She didn't wear her s.h.i.+nigami attire as the battles didn't require them anymore. She switched back to her kimono and just use her Zanpakuto in battle.

After slaughtering thousands of hollows as well as some Menos, she broken through into the First Level of the Sky Profound Realm. Her breakthrough enabled her to use the third tail's worth of power from Yachiru's Ten Tailed Demon Fox. Her second tail breakthrough was during her cultivation in the Earth Profound Realm which she never had the chance to use it. Powerful it might be, she never uses her hollow mode in front of Little Fairy and Cang Yue as she was not ready to let them know about it. Her continuous fights with the Menos enable her to breakthrough her body to the Third Level of the Sky Profound Realm. Little by little, she was invulnerable to damage from the lesser hollows and sometimes blocked powerful ceros single handedly.

The other two maidens are Little Fairy and Cang Yue. Little Fairy still retains her cultivation at the Peak of Sky Profound Realm but she was getting stronger once she consumed some of Yun Che's pills. Due to her strong cultivation, she was able to combat Earth Profound Realm Menos easily. She was also the one guided Retsu to use Profound Floating Technique that enable her to fly in the air.

As for Cang Yue, her cultivation broken through to the Peak of Spirit Profound Realm after consuming Yun Che's given pills. She was also more matured compared to a month ago as her combat experience increased and face several life and death situation. Her sword arts improved after one month of continuous battles against the hollows and she was able to strike deadly and precise. She was also able to combat Spirit Profound Realm Menos without hurting herself.

"ROOOOARRR!!!!" The Menos shouted at them as sign of provocation. Retsu didn't expect the one emerged from the garganta was actually a Sky Profound Realm Menos. From Yun Che's explaination, Menos Grande had two stages before they enter the realm of High Ranked Gilians. The first stage was the one face by Yun Che a month ago which had the strength of Spirit Profound Realm but the one fighting them for a month were Earth Profound Realm Menos. The difference of these Menos from the first stage was their neck was surrounded with more spikes compare to the first stages.

However, half a month ago. The three maidens are shocked with the appearance of two High Ranked Gilians. These Gilians still had the appearance of the Menos but their mask took a drastic change. Instead of having the original Menos's mask, these two giants still using the white skull mask but the nose and eyes had disappeared. These new features are four vertical rectangular shaped holes replaced the nose and eyes. These new gilians started appearing temporarily before shooting them some ceros and disappearing back into the garganta. Retsu sometimes tried to get close by ganking them but the lower level Menos seems to block her immediately to prevent her from getting closer. Without her hollow's mask or bankai, she didn't manage to get them in time before they disappeared back into the garganta. She didn't use her bankai because the killing intent produced by it tend to draw more hollows so she decided to use her normal form. Each time after these two escaped, the lower level Menos also make their escape thus ended their battle for the day.

One of the two gillians suddenly opened its mouth. These girls knew the meaning of it instantly as these beams are the one they have to block for the past month. Red energy ball suddenly charged from its mouth before getting smaller and smaller. The gilian closed its mouth and ….

"Shoooo!!!!" The cero travel towards the girls but it didn't aim at the barrier. The cero was aimed towards Little Fairy.

She was quick and she immediately deployed her Frozen Arts Barrier and blocked the incoming strike. The cero smashed onto her ice barrier and she managed to hold it. However, for the past half a month. She discovered that, the cero from these gilians are far stronger even for her cultivation. If she faced it head on, she would perish immediately. Retsu was the only one who survived point blank a.s.sault due to her body.

She was able to block the cero until the cero immediately explode ended up destroying her barrier. She was sent flying behind by the shockwave but Retsu managed to teleport behind her and stopped her. She immediately give her a mana potion and restore her energy.

She looked at her with a soft expression and said "Thank you, sister Retsu."

She nods before looking at the towering Gilians. "These hollows sure are persistent."

Then, Cang Yue arrived next to them. "Sister YueChan, Are you okay?"

"Yes, I am okay. Sister Yue. Looks like that new mask Menos was stronger than I thought." She said while looking at the other two gillians with killing intent. These Gilians tend to aim at her

"They didn't ran away like last time." The girls were about to counter attack but suddenly they saw something shocking them. All the Menos including the lower level and the Gilians suddenly stop on their tracks and opened their mouth.

"This is bad. Looks like they're preparing an all-out a.s.sault." The other Menos started to charged their cero along with the gilians. One of them managed to shake the barrier with a cero before but if the barrier is. .h.i.t with all these ceros, the barrier wouldn't be able to withstand it.

"Looks like I have to go full strength." Retsu said out loud earning the attention of Little Fairy and Cang Yue.

Little Fairy immediately stop her. "Sister Retsu. If you use your Bankai, all the hollows would focus their attention on you."

"Then, I'll take it." She thinks that if she opened up all her powers including her hollow mask. She can easily decimate all these hollows but risked getting her secret out to the other two. If this is the way to save them, she had no choice but to use it.

"There's no way I am letting you do that. I can still fight." Little Fairy draw her sword once more.

Cang Yue draw her sword as well. "Me too."

"Sister Yue, Sister YueChan. Hnnn, then let's end this together." The three girls wanted to go all out together. If they coordinate their attacks, they can disrupt the charging process and immediately ganked the Gilians. They risked the other two get away but at least buy some time for Yun Che to get back.

The villagers looked at the situation and show the face of despair. If those beams. .h.i.t their barrier, then all of them are doomed by the surrounding hollows.

Feng Caiyun looked at her husband. "Husband, there's nothing we could do to help them?"

Feng Banchuan sighs and said "Ai… If we had a way, we will spare no effort in helping them. But the maidens said we are not interfearing and risking our lives."

"But…" His wife Feng Caiyun suddenly felt something in her forehead. She felt she was abdorbing energy around her body. Besides her, all most all the villagers felt the same thing. Feng Banchuan looked at his phoenix mark and the color was changing from dark red to scarlet red.

With a heavy breathing, he said "This is… the immortal.. He did, he pa.s.sed the trial." Finally, the curse haunting them for countless of generation finally ended. It was truly a blessing.

All of a sudden, ma.s.sive pressure started to surround the area and disrupts the charging process of the gillians. Everyone could feel these pressure but the three girls immediately recognize these kind of pressure. Besides Retsu, there's one other able to use this kind of power.

Retsu widen her eyes and slowly filled with tears. "This pressure… Is it?"

Little Fairy also had her heart shook. It was the pressure she felt when she fought someone three months ago. The familiar pressure cause her to melt her ice heart. She slowly said "Rascal, took you long enough."

"Yun Che!!" All eyes suddenly turned to the phoenix ruins as they saw a small shadow jumped towards the top of the barrier. The shadow immediately stopped in mid-air and they saw the shadow's right leg was actually burning. Then, all of them heard a shout in the sky. "DIABLE JAMBLE!!!!!"

"Poêle à Frire: Spectre (Frying Pan, Spectre)!!!!!!" All eyes are widening and they saw countless of rainbow meteors suddenly showered the battlefield. The meteors create the explosions all over the battlefield and some of them are directed towards the stunned Menos on the battle. Countless of explosions exploded on the battlefield by the falling meteors and produce familiar flames to the phoenix clan. The other gilians are hit by the meteor and started to lose their balance before fell on the poor hollows underneath their feet.

The villagers suddenly detected familiar aura came from the flames sent by the rainbow shots. "This is…"

"Phoenix Flames?"

The shadow immediately jumped and suddenly two pair of flaming wings suddenly grew behind the shadow's back. It extended its fiery leg as it falls directly towards the center of the group of stunned gilians.

"FLAMBAGE SHOT!!!!" The shadow land directly like a meteor on the center of the group of gilians and created a giant wave of scarlet flames spreading all over the direction. The explosion of scarlet fire was so ma.s.sive and it incinerates the lower level hollows instantly. The other girls immediately saw a beautiful giant lotus made out of fire suddenly blooming all across the zone where the figure landed just now. The sea of scarlet flames slowly dies down and finally revealing the face of the shadow who created this scarlet lotus.

The shadow just now was a young man wearing a black outfit complete with modern trousers totally different from the fas.h.i.+on sense of this world. The shadow was also wearing some kind of white coat covering his torso until his knees. What was recognizable was his signature black raven hair slowly flows by the wind and his handsome features. When he turned around to look at the girls, his eyes were red covered by three tomoes slowly rotating around the pupils. What was shocking that his right leg was covered with furious scarlet flames and it didn't even burn the outfit he was wearing. His back had a burning pair of fire wings that slowly burns as it extends in the air.

"I am not late to the party now. Am I?" The figure was none other than Yun Che himself. His successful training finally completed the Phoenix flames he wanted to obtain. The original Yun Che fused his phoenix flames to his hands and sword thus creating a flaming sword style but the current him had a different idea. He fused his phoenix flames onto his leg instead and thus evolving the 'Black Leg Style' into 'Devil Leg Style' or 'Diable Jamble'. The evolved form of Sanji's original fighting style but he didn't charge his leg like Sanji. He simply infused the flames to his leg and created Phoenix Style: Diable Jumble.

The girls were speechless seeing his features and couldn't believe he did all of that just now. None of them dare speak a word until Yun Che opened his mouth.

He looked at the stunned girls and said "What? I didn't change that much for a month. Am I?"

Retsu was slowly tearing up. "Young master..*Sniff."

Yun Che saw her expression and said "Hey now, I am only gone for a month and you girls miss me that much?"

Little Fairy was feeling the same as well but she qas back to her tsundere mode. "Hmph, who would miss a 'rascal' like you."

Cang Yue was pretty much the same. "Yun Che…"

Yun Che looked at the tearing girls and smile warmly. "Save the reunion for later. Let's deal with this one first."

"Oi, b.a.s.t.a.r.d. You nearly killed me with stunt of yours." Suddenly, a small lion-like doll suddenly emerged from his back and hold himself with his shoulder. The girls looked at the doll curiously but shocked once it started to talk.

Yun Che started to get annoyed and said "Shut your yappin. You're immortal anyway."

"You shut up! I might take no damage but it still stings getting burn or hit man." Kon still remember the torturous month where he was chased all over the arena by those demons. Even of he went back to the inner world, he was still chased by the phoenix as well as Mizu and Kaze.

Yun Che rolled his eyes and turned them back to the girls again. "You girls improved. Have I mention you girls look…."

BOOOM!!! Yun Che didn't even finished his words when a gigantic white boot suddenly came down on him and stomped him on the spot. Some of the lower level gilians still standing and walked through the burning scarlet flame. When it saw Yun Che was distracted, it immediately raised its leg and stomped him flat shocking the girls looking at it.
