James started to exercise more often after his discovery. He also looked up basic martial art moves and began to practice them. He tried to familiarize himself with fighting, but all he could do was practice the skills and do some shadow sparring. Then he tried out the skills in his VR pod. According to the system evaluation, he did okay. Then he summoned some practice dummies to test his moves on. At first it felt awarded as he never had to hit something before, but after some time he got use to it.
5 Days Left:
After constantly hitting dummies, James then decided to to practice on moving dummies in the virtual world. It was hard for James to touch the moving dummies, much less. .h.i.t them. He then logged out to exercise some more.
3 Days Left:
When James logged back into the virtual world, he got asked by the system to create a personal room for him to stay in when he isn't playing the game. He decided to make the room have a view of Earth from the moon. He also made the interior of his room look like a palace. He then searched news related to Realm of Legends. He discovered something crazy. Starry Dawn announced that in order to start playing the game, one must have been using a World Dive pod for a month for medical reasons. James didn't really understand why this was a rule, but he was glad that he got his pod installed over a month ago. In the news people were p.i.s.sed about this, they tried to force Starry Dawn to change this rule, but they would not budge.
One Day Left:
James was trying calm his mind. The next day would be one to go down in gaming history, and it was for this reason that he was trying to calm himself down. He tried meditation, but that failed. Then he tried to take a hot bath, but that also did not work. He then just decided to tire himself out by jogging. He went online to check out how the internet was reacting to the approaching release. Some people were excited , some were worried, and others just didn't care. James logged into the virtual world, and decided to look at some scenery that he could not see in real life. The experience was unreal. He saw Niagara Falls, he saw what the world looked like from the peak of Mt Everest, and he saw two planets cras.h.i.+ng into each other in s.p.a.ce. It was breathtaking. It made him wonder what the scenery would be like in Realm of Legends. Just the thought of it made him excited for the release.
One Hour Left:
James was pacing back and forth in his virtual room. He had opened up a count down to the game's start. Starry Dawn still hasn't put up much much information on the game, and that made the wait all the more exciting. James couldn't wait to get into the game, and discover ancient secrets to become one of the strongest in the game world. He didn't believe that would happen to him, but it was still a nice thought. Then the there was one minute left.
