" I-is something wrong?" Yang Meng asked with clear doubt in his voice. Clearly not understanding why Sofie looked at him with hostility all of a sudden.

"I-it's nothing!" Sofie said with as she started pouting before turning her head away, planning to ignore the idiot she called her rival and friend.

"So, what mission should we take? Have you found any mission for more than one person?" Yang Meng not understanding what was going on with Sofie, decided to just ignore it.

"No." Sofie said not clearly listening to what he talked about, still wanting to ignore the person who lost her in the crowd of disciples earlier.

"Ah, okay. Then let's look at some of the missions over here instead, they are more suited for us." Yang Meng said as he pointed towards a mission board with only a few disciples around it.

Sofie wanted to refute him but was too slow, as Yang Meng was already standing in front of the mission board. Leaving Sofie behind to stay and stare out into the void. Not knowing what was going on with today.

Feeling depressed Sofie made her way over to the mission board Yang Meng was standing in front of.

The mission board, like the last one, also had something written above it saying; [Team Missions for 2 – 4 disciples, recommended realm: stage 5 – 6 Qi Gathering].

Indeed… These missions are for a higher cultivation realm and for a team… They should give more mission points. Maybe even spirit fruits! I-it might be better to choose a mission from here…

Thinking about this, Sofie turned her attention towards the missions on the mission board to see if any of them mentioned anything about any spirit fruits.

[Hunt Fire Rabbits]

[Recommended Cultivation Realm: Stage 6 Qi Gathering]

[Objective: Hunt 5 fire rabbits in the qi gathering realm and bring their corpses back]

[Reward: 150 mission points upon completion]

This mission got shot down the moment Sofie saw it. Wanted her to go and hunt down cute rabbit?! This was obviously never going to happen!

"Hey Sofie, did you find a mission yet?" Yang Meng came in from the side and asked.

"Hm… hunting fire rabbits? We could do that one, but do you have any experience with fighti- "Just as he was about to finish his sentence, an unexpected punch cam from the side and hit him directly in the face.

"G-grandmother!?" Was the only thing Yang Meng managed to utter before looking towards Sofie shocked, he clearly did not expect anyone other than his grandmother to hit him all of a sudden and for no clear reason.

Sofie just looked at Yang Meng in front of her with a slight trace of anger.

To think he dared mention hunting cute fluffy rabbits in front of her! First, he lost her in the crowd of disciples and now this!?

Sofie really felt like she wanted to tear Yang Meng apart at this moment.

Yang Meng, who had no idea what happened, but had a certain skill allowing him to sense when to not say anything. Silently decided the best course of action would be to not say anything at the moment.

Sofie also seemed to have calmed down after venting most of her earlier anger on the poor Yang Meng's face.

"So, is there any team mission that doesn't have to do with hunting something?" Sofie asked curiously as she reverted back to her usual self.

"Y-yes, this one here is gathering of some herbs just outside of the city." Yang Meng trembled slightly as he said these words while pointing at a post hanging at the edge of the mission board, still afraid that Sofie was still angry at him for a reason he had yet to find out.

Sofie, hearing what he said, made her way over to the sheet of paper hanging at the edge of the mission board.

[Gather Low Mortal Grade Moon Flower]

[Recommended Cultivation Realm: Stage 6 Qi Gathering]

[Recommended Disciples: 2]

[Objective: Go to the moon garden inside the sect grounds and find a low mortal grade moon flower]

[Reward: 100 mission point + 1 low grade mortal spirit fruits for every low mortal grade moon flower]

[Bonus Reward: 500 mission points + 1 mid-grade mortal spirit fruit for every mid-grade mortal moon flower]

"Let's do this one!" Sofie said with stars in her eyes, while she pointed at the mission Yang Meng showed her.

This was definitely a mission made just for her! Even though she had no idea what the moon flower was or where the moon garden was, she most definitely saw the amount of mission points and spirit fruits rewarded.

"Hm… The moon garden is quite dangerous, but still… This is indeed a good mission and if we just don't go to far into the moon garden it should be fine." Yang Meng said while taking the mission down from the mission board.

"Come, let's go and register the mission at the mission hall before we head out." Saying so, Yang Meng made his way towards someone who looked like a receptionist.

Sofie had no idea how to register a mission, so she just followed behind Yang Meng.

"h.e.l.lo! Do you want to register a mission or maybe put up a mission?" The lady looking like a receptionist asked Yang Meng, who just answered saying they wanted to register a mission as he showed the receptionist looking lady the sheet of paper from the mission board.

"Hm? The moon garden… That place is quite dangerous, but you should be fine as long as you don't wander too far in. Do you want an explanation for what the moon garden is or are you already familiar with it?" The lady in front of them asked.

"Ah, no-"

"No need, we already know." Yang Meng interrupted Sofie with proud look on his face, clearly trying to show off his knowledge…

"Ah, I see. Then good luck! When you completed the mission, just head to the reward area and deliver the required items for completion. After that you will get the reward. Bye bye~" The lady receptionist explained about how to get the reward, before seeing Sofie and Yang Meng off.

Leaving the registering area, both Sofie and Yang Meng waved goodbye. The lady receptionist waved to them as well before returning to her duties.

"Why didn't you allow the lady to explain about the moon garden!" Sofie asked Yang Meng the moment both of them exited the mission hall.

"I already know about it, so there is no need for us to have her explain about it." Yang Meng said in a slightly arrogant voice.

"But I don't." Sofie said as she angrily glared at Yang Meng.

"I-I can explain about it?" Yang Meng said with a slightly innocent look on his face.

"Fine…" Sofie said in a voice like she was giving up on arguing with him.

"Ahm, then let's begin! The moon garden is an underground forest below the sect grounds. The forest itself is located inside of a giant cave, that goes down to unknown depths, even the sect head have never explored far into the underground forest. The reason for this is also the demon beast, which are present within the forest!" Yang Meng said with a loud voice and a smile on his lips, clearly enjoying the idea of showing off his knowledge.

"Hm… But why is it called moon garden, if it's an underground forest?" Sofie asked, confused over the name of the place.

"The reason it is called moon garden is unknown… The only reason why we call it as such, is that the name 'moon garden' is written at the entrance of the underground forest." Yang Meng explained in a somewhat frustrated voice.

"Hmm… Is that so… Well, let's go." Sofie said, not really caring much about it.

"Yeah, follow me." Yang Meng said as he took the lead and moved towards the location of the moon garden.

Sofie did not lack behind and quickly walked after him.

"Fufufu, looks like she took the mission I placed! Now everything is in order!" An eerie voice leaked out from the side of a building as a pair of bright eyes followed Yang Meng and Sofie disappearing further into the sect grounds.
