No. 6: The first golden rule of transmigration
(Author's Note: From here until chapter 14, it'll be a heavy mix of POVs. Although I've used the 3rd Person POV in chapters preceding this, I've considered using 1st person narrative until chapter 50. As a result, the transmigration itself is the dividing line between the different POVs. We'll be using 1st Person POV from now on.)
The first golden rule of transmigration.
When a soul transmigrates, there's a 90% probability that the female transmigrator will first wake up on a bed. The level of luxury for the bed directly determines the female protagonist's quality of life from there on. Most of the time, it'll be servant girls or old maidservants surrounding the bed; after that it's either beautiful married woman or antagonist-role concubines. Over half the situations have the protagonist meeting the male lead or male supporting roles A, B, or C…all of them handsome men.
When a body physically transmigrates, there's a 99% probability that the female transmigrator will first wake up in some desolate place outside of town or the wild forests or mountains. In any case, it's always somewhere uninhabited. While she's living as a savage, male character A, B, C, or D will appear in proper order. They'll be strangers in the first meeting, friends at the second, ill-at-ease the first time, familiar at the second, difficult the first time, easy the second. After stargazing together and jumping off cliffs, drinking wine and reminiscing on life, the story will expand to a grand and spectacular scale…
The first thing I did upon opening my eyes was to check myself out: this body was mine, and so were the clothes–athletic outfits reminiscent of Li Ning's1 (I prefer supporting domestic-made goods). I dug out a small mirror I kept in my pocket (a normal but necessary accessory for any modern 20-year old girl) and saw: Qing Wen's eyes, w.a.n.g Xifeng's mouth, Lin Daiyu's eyebrows, Lin Qingxia's nose, Zhang Ziyi's cheeks, Fan Bingbing's skin, and Fan Xiaoxuan's hair2. Without a doubt! This was still my face!

Author: Fellow readers, please take note, the description above comes from Minmin's own point of view and has been distorted. It's not the unedited version, but reality stretched to its limit…the actual situation goes something like this.
Round eyes that were neither large nor small with epicanthic folded double eyelids. They used to have 20/600 vision until she used laser surgery to correct them in preparation for transmigration. Thin, small lips that had a healthy hue but otherwise no outstanding characteristics; eyebrows so light that one could hardly see them; a rather flat nose (Oi! Looks like someone had a faulty eye!); and a small chin with nearly no chin. A long period of good care had left her skin fair and delicate, but there were a few indistinct marks on her forehead left from something no young woman could escape–acne! (Like one right here, and right there, and right there…) Her hair was short and stuck up at odd angles like the Nestlé logo.
And now back to our story.

So it's a physical transmigration! I sucked in a breath at my reflection. Then I placed the mirror in my pocket and looked around, preparing to enjoy the unpolluted wildlife of the ancient past. Except I discovered…
I froze in shock.
A dense pack of people surrounded me on all sides, all of them staring at me sitting in the center. Could it be? Unless…?!
My peripheral vision scanned my surroundings: limestone paved street, fruit stall, grocery shops, all sorts of pa.s.serby…if I'm not wrong, then this is a bustling city street! And thus, the first golden rule of transmigration was broken…
After a long faceoff, a sad and shrill voice suddenly rose from the cry to shriek at the skies: "Monsteeeeeer! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Horrified reactions occurred one after the other. Everyone was startled and backed away, fleeing in disorder like a stampede of birds and beasts.
"It fell from the sky!"
"It was glowing with red light!"
"It was even hiding a demonic mirror on its person. Looks like some sort of magic weapon, it should be a formidable goblin!"
"Wahhhh….ahhhhh…." Chaos descended on the crowd. Suddenly, a strong voice called out from their midst.
"Everyone, calm down!"
I couldn't help but raise my head to look. Who was it?
