Movement and sound catches Talia's attention. A man has a woman bent over the end of the bed. The woman's face is twisted in pain. The man has a hand full of her hair pinning her head down to the mattress. His other hand is pressing down on her back.
"You're a good little wild f.u.c.k," states the man causing Talia to focus on his face. It takes her a minute to recall him.
"…Grimm…" Talia says when who the man is pops into her head.
Gregory Grimm lifts his red-haired head and smiles wickedly at Talia, "Well, well, well, look who's finally awake. He dumps the woman he was abusing to the floor and she crawls quickly to the left corner of the room where she curls into a ball and rocks.
Grimm climbs onto the bed and his intentions are clearly erect. Talia begins yanking at her chains and discovers she's chained spread eagle to the bed. There's a sheet and a blanket covering her, but she can feel she's naked beneath. She's unable to close her legs and she doesn't dare bring up her guardian in front of Grimm. Then she would have to kill him. She's not sure she could kill another human being. Plus, she's in a house somewhere. Houses are usually in neighborhoods. What if someone saw her through one of the windows.
Grimm laughs at Talia's useless tugging and twitching, "I've never f.u.c.ked a pregnant woman before. I wonder if it's anything like f.u.c.king a fat woman. But I've never f.u.c.ked one them either." He pulls the covers from Talia's body. "I don't like the stretch marks and you've sure got a lot of them. But I'm going to f.u.c.k you anyway, try to put some dents in your baby's head." He rises up over her in a push up. Talia turns her head so she doesn't have to look at his face. He shoves himself inside her without any attempt to get her ready for his invasion and Talia winces in pain.
"d.a.m.n you're a tight little thing," states Grimm as he forces himself deep into Talia. He licks up her neck, but it's nothing like when Eli licks her. It's sick and perverted, not loving and affectionate. It makes her skin crawl. It seems to take him forever to satisfy himself. He finally sits back on his haunches as a door opens and closes.
Grimm smiles as he looks back at the bedroom door and says, "Welcome home, Tad."
"Greg," a familiar male voice greets as his footsteps come into the room and up by the side of the bed where he finally comes into view for Talia.
Talia's eyes widen in shock and fear as she recognizes the man as he steps up to the side of the bed and she states softly in shock, "Fjord."
"h.e.l.lo, Talia," greets Fjord. He reaches out to touch her face and she turns her head away. He continues his action and wipes tears from Talia's face. She hadn't even realized she was crying.
"How are you feeling," Fjord asks Talia, but she doesn't answer. He asks Grimm, "Has she said anything?"
"Not really," answers Grimm, "just what she just called you and my last name when she recognized me when she first woke up."
"How long has she been conscious," asks Fjord.
Grimm shrugs as he answers, "About an hour."
"She was out for at least six hours," says Fjord mostly to himself, "I didn't think she'ld be out that long, three and a half or four at most… Maybe the tranquilizer was too strong. I don't want her damaged in any way." He inhales deeply over Talia smelling her for damage and illness. He smells a little fresh blood. He reaches between her legs and slowly pushes a finger inside her. He feels v.a.g.i.n.al tearing from Grimm's **** of her. He removes his finger and it has blood streaks.
"Just getting to know our guest better," Grimm informs Fjord, "breaking her in."
"You didn't stimulate her first," Fjord was.h.i.+ng and drying his hands at the sink, "You should have stimulated her so you were less likely to damage her."
Grimm shrugs uncaringly, "So?"
Fjord steps back over to the bed by Grimm and asks him, "Did you enjoy her?"
"Oh h.e.l.l yeah," answers Grimm smiling nefariously.
"Good…," responds Fjord. Then lightening quick, he grabs Grimm's head and turns it just over one hundred eighty degrees, snapping Grimm's neck. "Because it's the last time you'll touch her." Then he lets Grimm's body fall to the floor where it twitches uncontrollably.
Fjord slides his hands in his pockets as he watches Grimm's twitching body evacuate it's bowls and urinate on the floor. He watches until the body stops twitching and Gregory Grimm is lying on the floor lifeless in its own filth. Then he steps out of the room for a minute. He returns with an old blanket and wraps up Grimm's body.
"Puddle," Fjord calls in a firm voice and the woman in the corner hops to her feet. He orders her, "Clean this mess up. I'll be right back." Then he exits the room.
Talia hears what she's pretty sure is a backdoor opening as Fjord steps outside. Meanwhile, Puddle is doing as she was told. She uses toilet paper to pick up the solid waste that was expelled from Grimm's body and flushes it away. She leaves the room and returns with a bucket of hot water and a mop. Talia can smell pine sol and bleach in the hot water and watches Puddle mop the floor thoroughly.
Puddle dumps the dirty mop water into the toilet and flushes.
"Puddle…," Talia says softly. Puddle twitches at the sound of Talia's voice, but doesn't look at Talia. "Puddle…" Talia's voice is soft, "do you know where the key is?"
Puddle shakes her head no.
"Even if you knew, you'ld be too afraid to get it," asks Talia gently as she smells Puddle's terror.
Puddle nods her head yes and says in a timid whisper, "He'ld kill me like he did the mean tame man, Greg."
"It's okay," Talia tells Puddle in a soft understanding tone, "I understand. You've been missing from Water for three month. Have you been here the whole time?"
Puddle nods, "Fjord caught me exploring alone and brought me here. The mean man was already here. He could come and go as he pleased… I think I'm pregnant. I think I'm pregnant by the mean man… Fjord hardly touches me."
They hear Fjord's footsteps coming back up the back steps. Puddle rushes to put away the mop and bucket. Fjord comes into the bedroom and inspects Puddle's work.
"Good job, Puddle," Fjord praises patting the woman on the head like a dog. "Greg didn't feed ya did he?"
Puddle shakes her head no.
"We'll get ya fed," a.s.sures Fjord, "but first I need to talk with Talia."
Fjord sits on the edge of the bed by Talia and says, "I'm surprised you haven't brought up your guardian and tried to break free. Wouldn't do you any good any way. The cuffs, chains, bedframe and track in the ceiling are all a t.i.tanium/carbon-fiber alloy, maybe if you were big like Roar… I can hook you to the track and you'll be able to walk around a bit, use the sink, toilet and shower, sit at the desk." He rest one of his hands on her belly. "But you have to be good, be cooperative. If you try to get away, try to fight me in any way, I'll punish Puddle. And I kind of think she's been punished enough considering Greg has been keeping her company for three months exploring every orifice she has… So Talia, will you be a good girl for me?"
Talia nods yes.
"You won't give me any reason to punish Puddle will you," Fjord asks Talia.
Talia shakes her head no.
Fjord smiles, "Good." Then he leans over Talia and gently pulls at her lips with his own devilishly perfect lips. Talia cooperates. She can't help trembling but she cooperates. Puddle's suffered enough and she won't be the cause of more suffering for the young Water Tribe woman. So when Fjord deepens the kiss, Talia cooperates, accepting his tongue and sliding her own tongue along his.
Fjord sits back up smiling devilishly pleased, "Good." He pulls over the long track chain in the track on the ceiling. He produces a key from his pocket, opens the cuff on her left wrist, replaces it with the cuff at the end of the track's chain and undoes the cuffs on her right wrist and ankles.
Talia sits up slowly. She pulls the flat sheet to her and wraps it around herself.
"I'll make us something to eat," says Fjord as he gently touches her hair. "Then we can discuss what you've done to your hair and the new mark on your shoulder. The remote to the TV is on the desk."
Fjord puts his arm around Puddle's neck, "Come on, Puddle. You can help me cook."
Talia can still feel the tranquilizer in her system. She slowly gets to her feet, gripping the track's chain with her left hand to help stabilize herself. Her steps to the toilet are slow and tentative. She releases a sigh as she relieves herself because she really needed to pee.
After was.h.i.+ng her hands, Talia steps slowly and tentatively to the desk and picks up the remote. She doesn't usually watch much TV, but she supposes she'll get to do some TV watching as she begins to surf through the channels. She stops when she sees Richy and her Uncle Bob behind a reporter in Bayberry Fall's town square and turns the volume up.
"This press conference was called by the CEO and patriarch of Devons.h.i.+re World Law Firm and the recently retired CEO and patriarch of Drumpt Enterprises: Robert Devons.h.i.+re and Walter Drumpt… Apparently, a loved one for both men has been kidnapped," shares the reporter.
"Do we know who," a second reporter standing next to the first asks the first reporter.
"We don't have all the details yet and… and the press conference is starting," says the first reporter and the camera zooms in on Walter Drumpt who's in a three piece business suit as if he's headed to his office.
"Thank you for coming," starts Walter. "We've asked you here today because we need your help, the help of anyone who can give us any additional information that may aide us."
"Mr. Drumpt," yells a reporter, "What do you need help with? What happened?"
"At about 6:30am this morning, my grandson's wife, Talia Devons.h.i.+re was kidnapped as she was leaving for work… My grandson, Talia's husband, Sheriff Richard Griffin will give you more details."
Walter hugs Richy as he steps out of his way.
"Thank you for coming," starts Richy. "We know there are at least two kidnappers. One shot Talia, our best friend, Cougar and our dog from the other side of the highway up in the rocks across the highway. He used a very powerful sedative in tranquilizer darts. It killed our dog nearly instantly. Our best friend is still in the hospital unconscious… The second kidnapper drove in from the highway and placed Talia in the trunk of his car. Then headed north toward Megalopolis… They planned carefully, have probably been stalking her for months. We believe the accident this morning on the highway south of town and the three alarm fire were caused by the kidnappers in an attempt to get Talia alone. Test are being run. But it seems a couple of semis that spent the night in the truck stop south of town were tampered with. So I was called in early this morning to a.s.sist with the accident. Normally, if I'm not going to Megalopolis with Talia, I still walk her to her car, kiss her good-bye. But I left early because I got called to the scene of the accident… Our best friend, Cougar, is a fire fighter. He was supposed to ride to Megalopolis with her. He was called to come help with the fire just as they were getting ready to leave, but he still walked her to her car… Talia…" Richy takes a moment to keep himself from breaking down, "she's six months pregnant… We were expecting a ransom demand, but haven't gotten one… We have a series of pictures. If anyone recognizes the car or if your boyfriend or husband has been acting mysteriously, disappearing for hours or even days without explanation. If you think you have any information that will help us find my wife, then please contact Bayberry Falls Sheriff's Department."
"You said you were expecting a ransom demand," inquires a reporter, "Why do you think you haven't gotten one?"
Richy clears his throat, "The sedative in the tranquilizer darts used on Cougar and the dog is very powerful… Cougar's about my height and weight. Talia's only this tall," showing with his hand, "…and she's six months pregnant. We're afraid… We're afraid the sedative may have… may have…"
Walter steps up and hugs Richy. Richy clings to his grandfather.
Uncle Bob steps forward. He's crying, but composed, "We're afraid we haven't received a ransom demand because she's dead. The sedative killed the dog, which was a very large dog, instantly. And it nearly killed Cougar. He's still in the hospital and hasn't regained consciousness yet. There's still a chance he may not make it."
A camera zooms back in on Richy clinging to Walter and sobbing, "Grey-pa, my wife, our baby. Grey-pa, I love her so much. I think I forgot to kiss her good-bye. Did I remember to tell her I love her? I was in such a hurry."
Walter strokes Richy's head. Richy's never called him grey-pa before today. He tells him a.s.suringly, "It's okay son. She knows you love her."
"There's a reward," Uncle Bob continues, "for any information that leads to the safe return of my niece."
"Does Ms. Devons.h.i.+re have any enemies," asks a reporter.
"Of course," answers Uncle Bob, "She's a lawyer. We all have enemies. She's helped dozens of abused free spouses escape from their abusive controlling domesticated spouses. There were a number of death threats when she won back land for our local free citizens. She is the heart and soul of Devons.h.i.+re World Law… Richard has been a sheriff here for the last ten years. He's sent a number of people to jail including the previous sheriff of Bayberry Falls… Like I said, we all have enemies. So please share the pictures we have… And I guess, that concludes this press conference."
"There seem to be a number of friends and family present, Mr. Devons.h.i.+re. Is it okay if we asks them a few questions?"
"Yes, but please try not to insult anyone. And when I say enough, back off," Uncle Bob steps away from the podium and over to Otter and her two children.
Talia watches her uncle hug Otter. Otter is wearing a sundress and sandals. All the free people present are dressed in domestic clothes. Talia catches sight of Greywolf. He's wearing a suit, no tie and a pair of loafers. He hugs Richy, who has pulled himself back together.
"May I asks who you are ma'am," asks a reporter.
"I'm Otter. I am Richard's cousin and Talia's friend."
"I see you're pregnant," the reporter says to Otter.
"We're pregnant," shares Bob lacing his fingers through Otter's.
Otter smiles lovingly up at Bob and says, "Yes, we are. I'm a month behind Talia."
Sh.e.l.l tugs on Bob's pant leg and he picks her up. "Poppa Bob, may I say something?"
"Of course sweetie," Bob tells Sh.e.l.l.
"What's your name," asks the reporter.
"Sh.e.l.l," her voice small and timid.
"And what would you like to say," the reporter asks Sh.e.l.l.
"Please let my Aunt Talia come home Mr. Bad Man, please. We love her and we miss her. Thank you. Always say please and thank. That's polite."
"Thank you, Sh.e.l.l," the reporter sniffs trying not to cry.
"You're welcome," then Sh.e.l.l hugs Bob's neck tightly and buries her face against his shoulder.
"Excuse me sir," says a reporter, "What's your name?"
"Greywolf," his voice is deep and direct.
"Are you a friend of Talia's," asks the reporter.
"Yes," answers Greywolf.
"How do you know her," inquires the reporter.
"We're of the same tribe," answers Greywolf.
"How long have you known her," asks the reporter.
"Since we were kids," answers Greywolf.
"What kind of person is she," asks the reporter.
"The kind that puts others before herself," answers Greywolf.
"Are you close to her," asks the reporter.
"Yes," answers Greywolf.
"Why do you think Talia was kidnapped," asks the reporter.
Greywolf answers, "If it's not for money, then they wanted her."
"Want her for what," asks the reporter.
"They are men," answers Greywolf, "Talia's a beautiful woman. Do you need me to draw you a diagram?"
Talia hears Will's cry for her. A camera moves to Eli, who's holding Will. Richy steps up to Eli and request "Let me see him." Eli hands him Will and Richy bounces him gently.
"Sheriff Griffin, who's baby," asks a reported.
"This is our best friend's baby, Cougar's son, Will," answers Richy.
"Your friend that's currently in the hospital," questions the reporter.
"That's correct," confirms Richy.
Will lifts his head and lets out a squall that Talia recognizes as his cry for her.
The reporter smiles, "It almost sounded as if he was saying ma."
"That's his cry for his momma," shares Richy, "He's calling for Talia."
"For Ms. Devons.h.i.+re," questions the reporter confused.
"Talia's the only mother he knows," answers Richy gently patting Will's back, "His birth mother is absent. Cougar's a single father."
Fjord takes the remote from Talia's hand and turns the TV off, "You're just upsetting yourself."
He steps out of the room and returns carrying a card table. He sets it up in the area between the desk and bathroom area. He steps out of the room and returns with two folding chairs he sets up facing each other at the folding table. He steps out returning with plates, forks, spoons and a salad. He set places for only two people.
"Puddle…" says Talia concerned for the other woman.
"You want her to eat with us," asks Fjord.
Talia nods yes, "Please."
Fjord shrugs, "Sure." He leaves the room and returns with another place setting and chair. He exits again and this time he returns carrying a crock pot with Puddle following him carrying a fruit salad and bowls. He sets the crock pot in the center of the table. Then he takes the fruit salad and bowls from Puddle and places them on the table.
"Sit there," he orders Puddle with a point and she complies.
"Talia," calls Fjord putting out his hand to her.
Talia takes his proffered hand and he guides her to the seat opposite Puddle. He takes the seat in the middle, and starts dis.h.i.+ng out salad. As they eat, he tries to make conversation with Talia.
"So what have you done with your hair? ... I like it, but it doesn't seem like something you would do." Then Fjord asks her, "So where did you have it done?"
"Air Tribe Territory," answers Talia.
"Air Tribe Territory," questions Fjord in disbelief.
Talia swallows a bite of rabbit stew, "I went with Roar to escort Stinger and her children to her mate in Air Tribe Territory. I returned with the hair and the mark on my shoulder."
"What happened," asks Fjord.
"Chief Windwalker attached himself to as my fourth mate," answers Talia.
"Chief Windwalker," Fjord says to himself wondering what else he's missed, "Your fourth. So you have four mates now?"
"Yes," confirms Talia.
"Consorts," questions Fjord intrigued.
"Three," answers Talia.
"Four mates and three consorts; so when do you sleep," Fjord asks her amused.
Talia rolls her eyes, "Only when I get shot by tranquilizer darts."
"How are you feeling," he asks her concerned because he can tell she still has tranquilizer in her system.
"Fuzzy around the edges," is how Talia describes how she's feeling.
"Look at me," Fjord lifting her chin. "Your pupils are still a bit dilated. I didn't think you'ld have this much trouble with it. We tested it on me to get an idea of how much to use."
"You killed my dog and Cougar's in the hospital," Talia informs Fjord.
"Sorry about Cougar," Fjord apologizes sincerely, "I actually like him. I only loaded guardian sized doses."
Talia leans back and puts her hands on her swelling belly, "It won't hurt my baby will it? Or you don't know?"
Fjord slides his hand slowly over Talia's swelling belly. He was hoping the tranquilizer would cause a miscarriage. She would be easy to impregnate after a miscarriage. But to his dismay, there's plenty of activity in Talia's growing womb. Then it occurs to him what must be occurring in Talia's body; why she slept so long behind the tranquilizer and why she's still feeling fuzzy around the edges. Her body is busy protecting her unborn child from the tranquilizer in her system, so it's taking it longer to filter the tranquilizer from her system.
"Naw," Fjord tells Talia, "your baby's fine. It didn't hurt it none and it's not going to."
Talia closes her eyes and ask, "Why? Why am I here? Are you planning on keeping me chained up here forever?"
"I'm not going to keep ya," answers Fjord. "It's not like Richard would ever share ya with me. I just want ya to myself for a time. Then I'll let ya go."
"But my baby's missing me," Talia says upset, "I heard him crying for me."
"You mean Cougar and Sheila's boy," questions Fjord.

"I mean MINE and Cougar's boy," clarifies Talia.
Fjord puts his hands up in surrender as he smiles amused, "That may be how you and Cougar see it. But that ain't how Sheila sees it. As far as her and her family is concerned, you and Cougar have stolen her baby. You two are just baby s.n.a.t.c.hing wild folks to them."
"And I suppose you're best friends forever with Sheila," says Talia.
"Just business a.s.sociates," shares Fjord, "and I've visited her a couple of times since she went to prison. She hates you with a pa.s.sion."
"I have done nothing to harm her," responds Talia. "Her current circ.u.mstances are her own doing."
"That's true," agrees Fjord with a shrug, "But that's not how she sees it. To her, you stole everything she loves."
Talia makes an exasperated sound, "Richy was never hers and she threw her husband and child away with her insane obsessive behavior." Then Talia rests her head in her hands.
"Why don't you take a shower and lie back down," suggest Fjord.
Talia nods, "A shower sounds good. Where can I get a towel and I need something to wear, something that's comfortable to sleep in."
"Why do you need something to sleep in," asks Fjord.
"I don't go around naked," answers Talia.
"Is that why you wrapped yourself in the sheet," asks Fjord. "I just thought maybe you didn't want to be naked around me."
Talia squirms a bit in her chair and unconsciously tugs at the hand cuff on her wrist, "Father forbid me to go naked years ago and now I'm uncomfortable naked." Talia gets up tugging the sheet tighter around herself. She steps over to the shower and looks it over. It appears to be a shower tub combination. But the tub section has a door so you can step in instead of climbing in. And there's also a seat inside the tub.
"Puddle, get Talia some towels," orders Fjord. "I'll see what I can find ya to wear. I don't know what Greg did with your clothes."
"Maybe you should of asked before you killed him," Talia turning on the water and adjusting the temperature. "What'd you do with his body anyway?"
"Tossed it in Canyon River," answers Fjord watching Talia climb into the shower.
Talia now has an idea where she is. And she's not that far from home. Canyon River is in Wild Mountain Territory. She's nearly right under Richy's nose. But Fjord has the key to the handcuff. She's never been in a situation like this before. And Fjord is right, she's not big like Roar. Roar might be able to break the handcuff or the chain, but she can't, not as herself anyway.
For the moment Talia plans to cooperate with Fjord. She could smell he was telling the truth when he said he wasn't going to try to keep her. He plans on letting her go. But she doesn't want to upset him or make him nervous by asking too many questions at once. She'ld really like to know how long he plans on keeping her. It's not like he can get her pregnant right now. So she showers, happily was.h.i.+ng Gregory Grimm's scent from her body. She may not have made a sound or even twitched when Fjord killed Grimm, but she was still shocked and surprised.
Fjord is waiting with a big soft fluffy bath sheet when she steps from the shower. He wraps her in it. Then he picks up a large towel and starts towel drying her hair. He tells her, "My mother and aunt weren't tiny like you. But I went through some of their old things that were packed in totes. I found a couple of nightgowns I think will fit ya. But they smell all stale and like moth b.a.l.l.s. So I threw 'em in the washer."
"Thank you," Talia tells Fjord politely.
Fjord picks up a wide toothed comb from the sink and begins to comb out Talia's hair as she sits on the edge of the bed. As he combs her hair he shares, "This is where my momma spent her last days, right here in this room with my aunt and dad fussing over her. She knew she was dying, but she didn't want to go to the hospital, said she'd spent enough time being poked and prodded."
"What were your parents like," asks Talia curious.
"My mother was beautiful. She was a really sweet and kind, a gentle soul. Both of my parents were wonderful people." Fjord smiles as he tells her, "My dad wors.h.i.+pped the ground my mother walked on."
"They were never cruel to you," inquires Talia.
"Heck no," answers Fjord. "I was a spoiled brat. They loved me to pieces, rarely ever even raised their voices at me and I've never been spanked."
"No one ever hurt you or anything," asks Talia stunned.
Fjord shrugs, "My mother's parents weren't fond of me. But I didn't care much for them either. Of course, we didn't see much of them anyway. Why do you ask?"
Talia's just trying to make sense out of his behavior, "It's just that… Why did you kill Grimm?"
He answers matter-of-factly, "Don't need him anymore. I've got plenty of friends in low places. Plus, he's a braggart. I couldn't have him going to some bar or club, getting drunk and blabbing about how we kidnapped ya. His big mouth helped get the old sheriff busted."
"But it doesn't bother you, what you did," Talia afraid she may offend him, "And you seem to have a bit of a …cruel streak."
"Yeah," Fjord not offended, "I know. I don't know exactly where it came from because my parents were both kind gentle people. I liked smas.h.i.+ng bugs and pulling them apart when I was a kid, I went through a few hamsters until my mother caught me squeezin' the last one to death. My dad got me a puppy once. It didn't survive me either. I was always in trouble at school for being mean to the other kids. I just liked the smell of their fear and pain… Then when I started exhibiting signs of my guardian, they decided it was best if I lived with my tribe where my uncle would teach me all I needed to know about being a guardian, how to be a responsible guardian etcetera… I don't know why I am the way that I am. I'm just being me. I just know I don't understand you anymore than you understand me."
Talia's quiet for a moment, "Do you have any pictures of your parents?"
Fjord stops combing her hair, "Yeah, I do. Just a minute." He steps out of the room and returns with a digital photo alb.u.m. "My mother and aunt loved to take pictures," handing her the alb.u.m.
"This is your mother," questions Talia.
"Yep, that's her," confirms Fjord smiling.
"No wonder your father wors.h.i.+pped the ground she walked on. She's stunningly beautiful…" compliments Talia honestly, "and this handsome fellow must be your father."
"Yep, that's him," confirms Fjord smiling, "He was funny like Cougar."
"You get your dark good looks from him," Talia tells Fjord.
"You think I'm good looking," Fjord waggles his eyebrows at Talia.
Talia smiles, "You're looks aren't the problem. You are excessively good looking. I didn't know you had the ability to be kind and charming."
Fjord states, "That's what you like about Richard and Wendel: nice and kind and all that flowery charming s.h.i.+t."
Talia shrugs, "It makes me feel safe, secure and loved."
Fjord takes the alb.u.m and sets it on the nightstand, "I love you, Talia… It's probably hard to believe I'm even capable of such a thing as love. But up until I met you, the only people I loved and respected were my parents and my aunt. They were people I respect like your brother, Roar and even Richard. But I don't necessarily like everyone I respect. I dislike Richard immensely. And while I don't really respect Wendel, I like him. He's funny. And you are one of the rare individuals I like, love and respect."
Talia looks at the handcuff on her wrist and adjust it as best she can, "You're right about one thing. I don't understand you. I would never kidnap and hold someone I like, love and respect against their will. That's not an act of love. That's not how you treat someone you truly care for."
Fjord sighs as he pushes a lock of her hair away from her face, "Perhaps… I'm sure things are different when the person you care for also cares for you in return. But you don't like me. You don't love me. You'll never trust me. And any respect you have for me is minimal. You respect my right to live and breathe and be, but not much beyond that… You even respect Grimm and Sheila's right to live, breathe and be. But neither of them feels that way about you. Grimm had all kinds of plans for you. Most of them involved s.e.x, but not all. And Sheila's plotting her revenge and recovery of her son… Me? I'm just a man desperate for a beautiful intelligent woman who can't stand my company. When you're desperate, you do desperate things."
Fjord leans over and gently pulls at her lips with his own. He whispers in her ear, "I'm desperate for you." He sucks gently at the sweet sensitive skin of her neck. Talia trembles out of nervous fear.
"I wish you wouldn't be afraid of me," Fjord continuing his slow gentle perusal of Talia's lips, neck and shoulders.
Talia's being cooperative. She tries to calm her trembling and apologizes, "I'm sorry. It's not every day I see a man's neck get snapped or ever before today. Plus, the last time I saw you, you grabbed me by my throat."
Fjord pauses to look Talia in her eyes, "I'm sorry I did that. I wasn't mad at you. I was mad at myself and my own stupidity. I thought if I had power, if I was a chief… I remembered some of the dumb things I'd done trying to impress you. And I realized all I had to do was be a nice guy like Richard or Wendel. I could of kicked myself. Being nice isn't one of my skills. I've never worked on being nice. Did I hurt you?"
"It bruised," Talia informs him.
Fjord frowns, "I'm sorry I hurt you. I don't want to hurt you… Greg... I guess I should of asked him to step outside for a chat so you didn't have to see that."
Fjord lifts Talia from the edge of the bed and lays her in the center. He kicks off his shoes, takes off his socks, his s.h.i.+rt and climbs onto the bed next to her. He sucks one of her nipples into his mouth as he cups and caresses her b.r.e.a.s.t.s. He slides his hand over her and down into her dark triangle of curls. Except Talia doesn't respond to his hand as well as he would like. She's moistened, but she's not wet enough. And normally, such a detail wouldn't matter to him, but he wants Talia to be wet with need for him. So he slides down between her legs and replaces his hand with his mouth. Using his mouth he gets the reaction he wants from Talia. She gets sloppy wet and o.r.g.a.s.ms several times.
Fjord rises up on his knees between her thighs, unzips his pants and slides them behind his b.u.t.tocks and groin freeing his erect c.o.c.k. Talia's not surprised to see he goes commando beneath his pants. His c.o.c.k's not quite as big as Richy's or Windwalker's, yet still larger than she expected. He lifts her hips and slowly eases his c.o.c.k inside her. He starts slowly, enjoying the tight, slick, velvety feel of her. Then he settles into a rhythm of several short fast thrust followed by several slow deep long strokes. Her body o.r.g.a.s.ming in response to his attentions pleases him.
Afterward, Fjord plants tender kisses on her neck as he holds her. He whispers in her ear, "You're the only woman I will ever love."
Talia wishes she could say she still hates him. But instead, she feels a type of pity for him because she can see he lives a lonely life completely devoid of friends and family. She tells him, "You should try to have a little love for all your fellow human beings." Then she yawns.
"Sleep," Fjord whispers against her hair, "…sleep…" and Talia dozes off.
The next morning in a night gown Fjord found for her, Talia watches Cougar leave the hospital on TV. She's greatly relieved to see him and know he's okay.
"Mr. Wilson," a reporter anxiously asks, "can we speak with you a minute? Just a few questions please?"
Cougar pauses and nods his agreement, "Just a few questions. But all you might get is no comment."
"Who's this gentleman with you," asks the reporter.
"This is my dad, Wildcat."
"How do you know Ms. Devons.h.i.+re, Mr. Wilson," asks the reporter.
Cougar answers, "We're from the same tribe in Wild Mountain Territory, Animalistic."
"Is it true that you asked Ms. Devons.h.i.+re to be your son's legal mother," asks the reporter.
Cougar nods solemnly, "Yeah."
"What's the last thing you remember before you woke up in the hospital," asks the report.
"A sharp pain in my arm up by my shoulder," answers Cougar.
"Do you think Ms. Devons.h.i.+re's pending adoption of your son has anything to do with her kidnapping," asks the reporter.
Cougar shrugs, "Anything's possible. My ex-wife and her family are all a bunch of nuts."
"Mr. Wildcat, how long have you know Ms. Devons.h.i.+re," asks the reporter.
"Since the day she was born," answers Wildcat.
"So you know Ms. Devons.h.i.+re well, Mr. Wildcat," asks the reporter.
Wildcat nods, "Just as well as I know my son."
"What kind of person is she," asks the reporter.
"The best kind," answers Wildcat.
"Okay, that's enough," says Richy. "We need to get Cougar home."
"Sheriff Griffin, any new developments," asks the reporter.
"Not at this time," answers Richy holding the car door open for Cougar as Wildcat helps him in.
"Why are you torturing yourself with this s.h.i.+t," Fjord asks Talia irritated.
Talia informs him, "They're my family and friends… I just want to know how they are… It's not like you're gonna drop by and check on them for me… I wish I had a way to let them know I'm okay. I hate knowing they're worried about me… Besides, it's finished now anyway."
"I hate the fact that loving someone means you don't like seeing them unhappy," Fjord complains.
He leaves the room for a few minutes then returns and says to Talia, "Okay, I've got Grimm's phone. I'll turn it on and we'll call Richard. It has to be super brief. And I want something in return."
Talia's brow furrows in confusion, "I'm your prisoner and I'm being cooperative."
"I want a little extra cooperation," Fjord tells her.
Talia raises her cuffed chained wrist in the air, "It's not like I can just say no."
"I want you to suck me," Fjord tells her. "I want to f.u.c.k you anyway I feel like."
Talia tilts her head as she looks up at Fjord, "I a.s.sumed you were going to do that anyway."
Fjord smiles nefariously and shrugs. He turns on Grimm's phone, "Okay, what's Richard's phone number?"
Talia rattles off Richy's mobile number. Fjord punches the numbers in and pushes the call b.u.t.ton. When Richy says h.e.l.lo, Fjord puts the phone to Talia's ear.
"Richy," Talia questions.
"Talia," states Richy surprised.
"Richy, I'm alive. Okay? I'm alive," Talia quickly informs Richy.
"Talia, where…"
Fjord ends the call before Richy can asks his questions and shuts Grimm's phone back off. He leaves the room and returns without it. He goes straight to the bed. He smiles his sinfully beautiful smile at her as he leans back on his elbow and calls huskily, "Come on Talia… Come over here and put that pretty mouth on me."
With a sad sigh, Talia goes to him. He pulls her mouth to his mouth, his tongue thrusts deeply into her mouth. He guides her head lower on his body. He hisses with pleasure as she sucks strongly on his neck. "Talia…" he sighs pleased as she laves his nipple. His hands in her hair, he gently guides her head lower. She trails kissed down his ribs and abdomen.
Talia pauses at his belly b.u.t.ton. She traces his belly b.u.t.ton slowly with her tongue as she unzips his black jeans freeing his erect c.o.c.k. The air rushes from his lungs as her mouth slides over it.
"Talia, woman, you never cease to amaze me," Fjord thoroughly enjoying Talia's mouth sucking strongly on his c.o.c.k. He gets excited and starts pus.h.i.+ng her head down causing his c.o.c.k to push deeper than Talia would take in on her own.
Talia chokes. She makes it to the toilet in time to vomit into it.
Fjord holds her hair and apologizes, "I'm sorry Talia. I guess I got carried away… Are you alright?"
Talia sits back shakily onto her heals, but nods that she's okay.
Fjord helps her to her feet and steps her over to the sink, "Brush your teeth, sip some water and take a minute to catch your breath."
Talia's hand is trembling as she picks up the toothbrush and applies toothpaste. She request, "Next time, could you please just let me do it my way at my own pace."
"Sure, Talia," agrees Fjord gently messaging her back as she brushes her teeth. His erection poking her and reminding her he's not finished with her yet. He waits patiently for her to finish brus.h.i.+ng her teeth, sip a gla.s.s of water and catch her breath. Then he begins to kiss her neck and feel her b.r.e.a.s.t.s. He walks her back over to the bed, leans her over the edge of the bed and mounts her.
After she o.r.g.a.s.ms a couple of times for him, his selfish s.e.xual tendencies kick in again. Talia does her best to relax as he slowly works his c.o.c.k up her a.n.u.s. Tensing up and resisting would just make something that's already uncomfortable, painful. She's just grateful he's not treating her a.n.u.s like a v.a.g.i.n.a, and her grat.i.tude increases when he c.u.ms quickly.
Talia crawls away from Fjord onto the bed and hugs a pillow to herself. She starts to cry as she wonders what Richy would think of what she's done with Fjord for a short phone call that probably didn't last thirty seconds just so she could hear his voice and tell him she's alive. She wonders if it makes her a wh.o.r.e.
"You didn't enjoy that," Fjord stating the obvious.
Talia simply shakes her head as she cries silently.
She doesn't smell injured, but Fjord still asks, "Did I hurt you?"
Talia slowly shakes her head no.
"Well, it's not something I want often," says Fjord not knowing why she's crying. He'ld like to comfort her. But he's skilled at making women cry, not at comforting them. He doesn't know what he did to make her cry. He just knows he didn't intend to make her cry and he doesn't know what to do and he doesn't want her to cry like this. He doesn't like it and it's a bit frightening. He's never seen her cry. He's used to seeing her strong, confident and fiery.
"Puddle," he finally calls not knowing what to do himself.
Puddle enters the room cautiously. Fjord grabs her by the arm and pulls her to the bed. Fjord tells Puddle, "She's crying and I don't know what to do?"
Puddle looks at Fjord for a moment not sure what to make of his upset over Talia's tears. She finally says, "I'm surprised it took her this long to cry. You've stolen her from her mates, family and friends, chained her like a dog…" It's the most Puddle has said since Fjord brought her here.
Fjord looks at Puddle stunned. But before he can respond, she crawls onto the bed with Talia and begins shus.h.i.+ng Talia gently as she strokes her hair consolingly. Fjord throws his hands in the air exasperated and sits on a folding chair. He watches Puddle shush Talia to sleep. Then fall to sleep herself with an arm around Talia. He watches them sleep for a short time. Then he carefully slides onto the bed and lays facing Talia watching her sleep. And for a time, he dozes himself.
