A few months ago, Allen gave some of his blood to Mea. The discovery she made was pretty mind-boggling.
Mitochondria, it's basically the stuff that gave a person their energy. Little micro organisms within the humanoid cell. Due to dark-matter exposure., the average cell evolved from Allen's timeline. While in the year 2019 there were an average human had about 2000 mitochondria per cell. In the year 4021 there were an average human had about of 3500 – 4000 per cell.
The 69 was notoriously cautious of having their blood a.n.a.lyzed. Perhaps it was for this exact reason. t.i.tan level threat beings had a monstrous 25000 mitochondria per cell. This wasn't really a secret, but what was a secret was the stupid number of mitochondria in one of the 70.
Allen in particular had 125 000 mitochondria per cell. She didn't have a reference other than Allen but this is five times that of a t.i.tan cla.s.s.
Given the fact that a few of the 69 was cla.s.sified as a pinnacle t.i.tan on the lowest order it was still safe to a.s.sume that Allen might be a in the top tier compared to the 69.
She also noted how it was actually possible for the human being to use dark matter. An enzyme process called Adenosine Endodamasphate. Basically, it takes dark matter and turns it into energy.
There was a bunch of extra mambo-jumbo Allen couldn't give two c.r.a.ps about.
This process does mean theoretically the body can sustain itself without the need for food or oxygen as long as they find themselves in an area saturated with dark matter.
Though that wasn't the case. The immense amount of energy that dark matter produced would cause immediate cell death without the additional processes to create a cohesive balance.
The main reason Allen wasn't a top tier power house was the fact that his body was still in an adaption phase. The mind is used to manipulate the dark energy that comes from dark matter, like a form of telekinesis caused by an evolved Pineal gland. A lot of Allen's mitochondria were still dormant. The scary truth is that he had only activated about 17 000 of his 125 000 mitochondria. He still had a long way to go.
The science of it all was staggering. There was a real-world explanation for it all.
Allen closes the information.
In an Outskirt military base.
There was a female studying a holo map. It was saturated with red dots.
She rubbed her head while looking at the map in frustration, "There is no way in h.e.l.l we will be able to stop this ma.s.sive rampage."
A devilishly good looking, familiar Android spoke up, "Colonel, me and the Metaboyz should be able to handle the small crocs (military term for dangerous creatures), but that mother croc is a different story. The ammunition we have are military grade dark-matter spitters (military term for sh.e.l.ls)."
The mature looking lady spoke, exasperatedly, "I am well aware of that, but we aren't allowed to engage without our SS cla.s.s threat suppressant."
"Those people will die if we don't"
"You think I ain't aware of it, mister Aaron? I was considering abandoning the order but we don't have any dark matter grenades."
Aaron was taken back by the that statement, "Colonel, are you mad! One such grenade would wipe out most of the Outskirt town. That would be too much collateral damage for a small victory."
"Then what do you suggest, huh? Those humans are in trouble and we don't have much time. Aerial escorts are shot out of the sky by that female croc. Long range bombardment is hampered by their annoying barrier crocs. This is just all just too meticulous for a bunch of brain-dead crocs."
Aaron frowned, "Even long-range bombardment is an unlikable proposition. Why not request aid from the other cities."
"We have a brain-dead Mayor."
Aaron chuckled at the statement, "Then call the brain-dead mayor to bring him in earlier."
"Apparently the guy needed some rest. Some trouble happened in the city and he was in the middle of it."
"Do we this civ?"
"I do have his contact information, yes."
"Then let's appeal to…wait his. Natural or tank.?"
"Apparently natural. You see where I am coming from?"
Aaron scratched the back of his head, "All we can do is try, right?"
The colonel shrugged, "We will be wasting precious time, but I guess so."
Allen was startled by AR49's voice chiming in while he was in deep though, "Mister Katawinski. An unknown individual is trying to contact you. Should I cancel?"
Allen's curiosity got peaked that. Unknown caller. He shouldn't be an any data bases, "No, send it through."

A holo of a female body in military attire for the year 4021 showed up and sighed, "Look I will make this short. I know that you have been briefed in on a creature of some disrepute. I have been told that you should recuperate but we are in some dire straits. So, I will be appealing to your humane side I hope you have."
Allen shrugged and smiled, "That's a tall order. Me humane? Nah."
She turns to her side and spoke to somebody in the background, "I knew this would be a waste of time."
Allen smiled, and said sarcastically, "s.h.i.+t lady, no sense of humor, huh? You are never going to get laid like that."
This took her by surprise, "Wait, what? I have a sense of humor."
Allen nodded then slowly shook his head, "Nope, not buying it. Aah, the lonely old lady that's never going to be laid…like ever again."
A vein popped up on her head, "I will show you who will never be laid again!"
"Ah, okay…so, don't ever speak about an old lady's s.e.x life."
"What the f.u.c.k! OLD! Come here so I could ring your scrawny little neck."
Allen threw his hands in the air, and nonchalantly said, "Aah, an old lady wants to **** me. Oh, would somebody please not safe me from a cruel…hologram."
A bunch of new veins popped up on her forehead, as she tried to remain calm, and said trough gritted teeth, "Are you gonna help us or not?"
Allen smiled, "Oh, whoa is me!", his face turned serious, "Look, if you guys called me earlier with your predicament. I would have helped earlier, just don't tell Mea, she's kinda scary. Oh, and I will need a lift."
She eyed him cautiously, "You sure you are natural born."
Allen rubbed his gruff beard for a while, "Last time I checked I had an absolutely wonderful mother. A father who's head I wanted to rip off. Two brothers I got along famously with, and an adorable little sister who hated my guts. Kinda reminds me of Mea."
The colonel scowls at him, "You done?"
"Well I will be needing a lift."
"Are you really the SS threat fighter?"
"You will have to wait and see."
"I will send someone over to escort you."
She just scowled and cut the call.
After about an hour Aaron showed up, and Allen asked, "So you are my escort?"
Aaron smiled, "You wouldn't remember me, but I was in charge of the unit that rescued you from the Badlands."
Allen smiled back and extended his hand, "Thank you for that."
Aaron accepted the handshake, "I have to be honest. I wasn't expecting you to be a SS threat eliminator."
"Small world then. So, what's exactly is the extent of the problem?"
"I will let colonel Selina Johnson debrief you on that."
It took them less than 20 minutes to get to the mobile base of operations, where colonel Johnson was waiting for him.
She was clearly in a bad mood, as Allen turned towards Aaron, "I can cut the atmosphere with a knife."
Selina interrupted, "And who's fault do you think that is?"
She sighed and continues, "Look, there is a b.l.o.o.d.y army going to attack an outer settlement not far from here. If we can convince them to join us, we, according to the mayor, will earn more respect. I personally don't like his self-serving egotism, but here we are. In any case, I will still safe as many people as possible. We have a force that can contend with the lesser crocs…"
Allen raised his hand in the air, "Question…what's a croc? The type of species?"
"Ah, my apologies. I forgot you aren't military. It's a military term for creatures or monster. In any case, for the bigger ones you will have to content with them. There are about 3 A rank threats guarding the larger croc."
A holo appears in front of them. It looked like a proud antelope with a broad chest. A mouth full of teeth and clearly looked like it had a bad att.i.tude. There was also a unusually high amount of hair around the chest at the upper torso around the back colored black.
"The three level A crocs are primarily for defence. They do have some minor offense though, so be careful. Your job is to take out the big."
Something was bothering Allen about the beast. This wasn't the same beast as he saw in his holo. The creature he struck a deal with, so he brought it up, "You sure this is the d.a.m.n creature the mayor wanted me to defend against?"
Selina gave him a questioning look, "As far as I can tell. Yeah."
There was probably some miss-communication. Politicians and their ilk, blergh.
The entire Metaboyz group stood close behind Allen. As Allen nonchalantly chewed on some bubble gum that was offered by one of the natural born ladies there.
Allen saw the beast in the distance, but between him and his quarry there where a h.e.l.l of a lot of nasties, "Great, at least thin the herd beforehand." They were uncomfortably close to the settlement though.
"Well nothing gained nothing ventured. Did I say that right?"
