"How many times has it been now?" Owen said as he started counting on his fingers only to borrow Ethan's when he ran out on his own hand. "I can't remember? How often are you guys here? ARE YOU ALL HOMELESS?!" he screamed in frustration.
"Nope," Ethan replied, stealing his hand back. "We just need to revise for the exams that start on Monday."
"Alright. First of all," Owen said as he dragged Ethan to the side to talk to him. "I'm fine with you being here but why are Ruby and Kaylee here?"
"Ah, I can explain. Kaylee messaged me asking what I was doing so I told her and we met Ruby already outside. She looked as if she was debating about knocking so we did it for her."
"Right…" Owen said pus.h.i.+ng Ethan away as he had uninvited guests to care for.
"Don't worry about us," Kaylee said as she threw off her coat and sat in the usual spot she claims whenever she came round. "We've been here before so it's all good."
The four of them sat around a small table that rested slightly above the floor. They all kicked around and spread themselves out whilst staring and sighing into the papers below them. The sounds of paper flipping were just enough to cover the sound of those who were mentally breaking down.
"Alright. Let's take a break." Kaylee suggested not even an hour in.
"Good idea." The others agreed, throwing away all the paper and bring out several bowls of sweets and crisps.
"So, how is everyone feeling about the exams?" Ethan said with a full mouth.
"I'm terrified," Kaylee said falling back. "Who knows what will come up."

"Shame we can't help each other," Ruby added as she slowly moved towards Owen who was clearly aware of her plan as he stood up and walked away to refill one of the bowls.
"I'm sure we'll all be fine," Owen said when he returned. "If we all made it this far then we surely will get the results we all want."
"I need good results," Ethan said reminding the room that he was going away, turning the room sour. "What's wrong?" He said unaware.
"Well, forgetting about all that," Ruby said to change the mood. "Why don't we all make goals like last time?"
"Good idea," Ethan said das.h.i.+ng up with confidence. "This time. This time, I shall get a perfect mark. I know I can do it."
"I think the same," Owen said. "I think I may get a perfect score in Music."
"HA!" Ruby blurted out causing her to cover her mouth after realising what she did.
"I mean…" She said trying to defend herself. "You won't get a perfect score because I will beat you."
"Want to do another bet?" Owen said.
"Oh, yeah the music bet…" The unaware Ethan said. "What did you decide to use it on last time?"
"N-nothing…" They both said as they were reminded of the events Owen used it on. Causing them to both relive the events and turn red.
"So the rules of the bet," Ruby said. "Just like before, whoever gets the highest mark can get the loser to do whatever they want."
"Sounds good," Owen said.
"What are you going to get to do if you win, Ruby?" Kaylee asked.
"I'm going to get this fool to date me." She whispered to her with a murderous odour leaking off her.
"W-what a good idea…" Kaylee said as she didn't know how to respond.
With less than 48 hours until their final exams start. They all prepared differently. Everyone worked their hardest to make sure they pa.s.sed. Sean, Lily, Simon and Claire, the people that didn't show had spent the last several days locked away in their rooms. Peeing into bottles and still reading books whilst eating dinner with their parents. Whereas the opposite, Ethan, Owen, Kaylee and Ruby have all gathered around together, working as a group. Enjoying what little time they had left.
