The man before the Fang, the man with a shrill voice, the man who rebelled against him, the man with a hideous narrow face and abnormally low cheekbones, this man named Harumi stood before him, the bandit, the Fang.

The Fang had large arms the size of small logs. His veins bulged from his forehead. His vibrant green skin contrasted the area surrounding him. It contrasted the worried pale faces of his loyal followers. The blood drained from their faces, because they didn't know how they were going to defeat the members they considered to be the strongest in the group. One of his "loyal" followers tried to join the other side, but Harumi killed him with a single fireball. The rest of the Fang's followers cowered, even trembles begins the Fang. The Fang was tall. He stood taller than the average man, and he considered himself to be second to none in the realm of combat, magic combat included. The Fang was a water mage. He specializes in shooting water bullets from his gun once he ran out of metal bullets or his enemy thought he ran out of metal bullets... Anyway, the Fang never thought that some of his men would betray him. It never crossed his mind. He thought he instilled enough fear to prevent such betrayal.

But, here he was, standing before a flurry of fireb.a.l.l.s that Harumi and his fellow casters were proficient in using to kill. The Fang remembered. He recruited them because of their special fire affinity, and each of them had that affinity! Some of the men who betrayed him used flaming swords and spears, but a majority used their fire affinity to draw magic circles for the fire attribute to throw fireb.a.l.l.s. Harumi used the latter method, but the Fang knew Harumi was more proficient in using the fire sword too. The only problem was... he didn't know the extent of Harumi's swordsmans.h.i.+p. While the Fang looked out at the fifty traitors, he couldn't help but frown. He had one-hundred and fifty men; but their combat power paled in comparison to the fifty with the ability to cast fire magic. The lanky subordinate beside him was a proficient spear wielded, but the addition of him wasn't enough. It was far from enough. The subordinates that didn't betray him either didn't know how to use magic or had a shallow understanding of that magic.

"Do you understand now?" Harumi said, "You're outcla.s.sed."

"Since when did you begin this treachery, Harumi?" Said the Fang.

"Hahahahahaa!" Harumi laughed and then said in a deep tone different from his usual shrill voice: "Before we 'officially' met you. The games are over Fang... Tonight, you die. Kill!"

The men behind Harumi surged with magic power and creating a blaze of fire with Harumi: "Kill!"

The Fang brought the silver pistol with his right hand to the front of his chest. He drew a magic circle for the void attribute on his pistol. He pointed at the charging flames and shot bullets clad in water at the charging flames.

Swords clad in fire swung at the Fang's neck and chest and legs, when the attackers focusing on him dropped to the ground. He even broke one of the flaming swords. The Fang had exploded with magic power; in the instance before they killed he fired six of metal bullets with pure physical strength—in one full second.

Six shots! One Second!

This was the strength of the Fang; he earned his t.i.tle. Harumi frowned for a second when he saw this scene, but a smile returned when he saw the metal bullet in one of his men's chest. Harumi realized that the strength the Fang achieved required the combination of metal and void magic. The Fang used void magic to strengthen his bones and muscles to achieve this feat, but couldn't reach the same destructive output without the metal bullets, and sooner or later, he would run out...

The Fang poured his magic power into slaying twenty enemies. He strengthened his body to the brink. He took down the first six with the combination of an eye jab and six bullets to their bodies.

He reloaded.

He slew another six with six bullets fired in an instant and three kicks to disrupt incoming attacks that he didn't have time reload and shoot.

He reloaded.

The Fang killed another six that surrounded Harumi, and finally he defeated the remaining two with close combat.

He reloaded.

"What a beautiful night it is..." said Harumi, "So much death to offer the demon!"

The Fang grimaced. He realized the situation was much more dire than he initially thought. His arms were sore from firing the gun beyond the limits of what a human can fathom. Magic enabled this feat: a peculiar usage of void magic to be precise.

Solomon watched in the bushes with intrigue... The old man used void magic to enhance his vision and hearing, and he held a sense of pity for the man name named Fang. 'What a waste of talent,' thought Solomon, 'And to think he's a bandit!'

The Fang looked around. He noticed that only the traitors he killed had died. A good thirty still remained, and the Fang was tired. Plus... Harumi was still alive.

"Don't tell me," said the Fang, "Does this have something to do with Ahab!?"

"So what if it does?" said Harumi, "The dead have no use for knowledge."

The Fang roared in anger. He charged towards Harumi, ignoring the fireb.a.l.l.s and flaming swords that pierced and engulfed him. He looked horrible. He looked terrible. The flames burned his flesh, and the blades pierced his marrow. He looked frightening. But, Harumi was not scared.

Harumu drew a magic circle of the void attribute and said, "Now offer your knowledge to the demon... for the sake of lord Ahab's glorious city of sin."

A mouth erupted from the ground with huge snake fangs and black scales covering its skin. The summoned snake swallowed the flamin man, the man once known as "The Fang" and descended back I to the void from whence it came.

'To think they're using the void in such a blasphemous way,' thought Solomon, 'How dare Ahab!'

So, Harumi and his thirty remaining men retreated to Ahab's city of sin, after slaughtering one-hundred and fifty bandits.

Solomon dispelled his magic and thought to himself, 'Before I teach Leo any real magic, I better make sure he won't abuse it like that Harumi fellow. And ironically, Ahab's city of sin is also the best test for his mental and moral fort.i.tude...'

The clouds tumbled and tossed and turned, before calming down and mes.h.i.+ng into one ent.i.ty in the sky, much like how the spilled blood from the bandits formed one big puddle in the middle of the prairie road.
