Parental Qualification Certificate Chapter 4

The man's voice seemed familiar.
Su Yutan recalled and rummaged her mind for a moment. Then it clicked.
“Zhou Feng?”
“You still remember me.” He acted surprised with such mockery.
“It's such an honor.” Zhou Feng gritted his teeth.
Su Yutan smiled bitterly. Right then, countless questions flooded her thoughts.
Was Zhou Feng here to get revenge?
How did he open the test room door?
What about the security outside?
What about other people?
What exactly is on my temple? A gun?!

“You can turn and see for yourself.” Zhou Feng's tone resumed its mocking state.
Su Yutan slowly turned her head and saw the heavy black barrel gun body and huge magazine. Although she knew little about military knowledge, she could easily recognize that it was a Gaussian Submachine Gun.
In the 31st century, a variety of high-kill energy weapons were abundant, but civilians were not allowed to hold them.
The self-defense weapon that civilians can legally hold was a mainstream weapon that was more popular a millennium ago, such as firearms, real ammunition guns, and handguns. No silencer was allowed.

Zhou Feng completely ignored her plea. He instead asked, “Why don't you look scared at all?”
Any normal human being would be trembling and begging to be freed in this situation.
Yet Su Yutan only pouted and answered him with another question, “What is there to be scared about?”
It was an abnormal reaction. But at this point, she would not tell the gangsters.
“Do you really think I won't pull the trigger?”
“I guess you just can't kill me. Your conscience won't let you.”
“Why would I ever be reluctant to kill you?”
“You didn't break in just to get your revenge, did you?”
“You're pretty smart, but why weren't you smarter then? If you didn't see through my cheating strategy and just simply let me pa.s.s the test, all this would not have happened.”
She squared her shoulders and claimed with authority, “It's my job. It would be a violation of my duty.”
Zhou Feng's anger rose.
“Violating a bad job! To h.e.l.l with the ‘Parental Qualification Certificate'! Such a system shouldn't exist at all! Your job is worthless. What about the violation of duty?”
Su Yutan did not argue with him and remained silent.
Zhou Feng prodded the gun barrel into Su Yutan's head. He said coldly, “People like me are discriminated everywhere. It's hopeless for people like me. You don't know what it's like out there!”
With the gun on the verge of triggering, Su Yutan did not hesitate to say, “Of course I know. I, out of all the people, should know about the pain of an innocent child being abused by a loved one. You don't have the ability to be a father, so I can't let you pa.s.s. Pa.s.sing the test allows you to qualify as a dad. And you just do not qualify.”
“Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?” Zhou Feng's tone now was as cold as if it emerged from the snowy desert as cold as death.

He glanced at Chen Ruoshui and the girl with big eyes who were trembling with fear.
“That little girl. Did you let her pa.s.s the test?”
She did, but Su Yutan was afraid that after telling the truth, Zhou Feng would hurt the girl out of pure jealousy. She could only manage to say, “She came out before the test ended. I'm not sure.”
Zhou Feng sneered, “Come out! I have arranged a big show today. I invite you to perform together.”
Chen Ruoshui released the girl with big eyes from the test chair and walked out of the test room with Su Yutan.
In the rest area outside the test room, more than 20 staff members and a similar number of subjects have been tied together by electronic handcuffs and iron chains. They were sitting on the floor of the rest area.

Everyone in the test center today had become the hostage of Zhou Feng.

Around the hostages, there were two expressionless tall men holding guns in their hands, carrying a bag on their backs, and wearing various ammunition around their waists.

Su Yutan wondered: Are these two men … real people or artificial robots?
