Abium glanced around that underground mining cave and noticed the whole area surrounded by darkness. Then he slowly walked a few steps ahead and brushed off the dirt from his clothes. He then brought out a magic lamp from the spatial ring and light it. He didn't think Helena's things might be helpful to him in these circ.u.mstances.

Others accompanied him behind quietly, and all started exploring the cave. While they walk in that darkness suddenly, a metal hitting sound heard.

"Somebody's there! Let's go."

Nicolaus attempted to walk ahead boldly, but Abium grabbed his right shoulder and covered his mouth from making any noise. Fennelis laid her daughter on the ground and slowly unsheathed the new iron scimitar, which Abium gave before. It transmitted off a chilling atmosphere when the scimitar separated from the sheath. Abium signaled others to follow him behind and stealthily walked ahead.

A figure appeared on their vision a few meters apart from them. They saw a humanoid skeleton carrying a pickaxe and digging. Abium quickly drew out his sword from the spatial ring and walked towards near that skeleton. He instantly noticed that the undead appears to be mining alone and saw a small cart to take mining materials outside.

Once Abium entered within scope, that skeleton perceived someone arrived behind and rapidly turned its skull in alarm. A deep blue fire appeared in those hollow eyes and seemed to be burning inside.

"****** **** *****" A strange noise came out of its mouth, which made others baffled for a bid. It seems to try and interact with them. But Nicolaus didn't wait there and quickly thrust his sword towards its skull. A shrieking voice reverberated inside that underground mine and gradually died down.

Abium thought something was not right when Nicolaus killed that skeleton soldier. Because Abium didn't sense any hostility from that skeleton soldier when Nicolaus attacked, it only defended and not even try to retaliate.

"Something is not right. This skeleton didn't even attempt to attack us."

"Maybe it was frightened of us! Who cares, man! We kill those skeletons; then, we will get new artifacts for that. Why do you think about annoying things?"

Nicolaus spoke in a casual tone and sheathed his sword and placed it on his waist. Abium abruptly stopped his track and saw a chain hanging in the neck of that skeleton. And a box was attacked to it. He stepped forth, then took that chain and opened that box slowly while others went closer towards him to take a good look.

A silvery with azure dots appeared on the metal. It was one of the rare, most durable metal used for making legendary and high tier artifacts.

'Mithril! I guess it's around 200 grams. If I auctioned it, several mages and blacksmiths will come and bit at a high price.' Abium quickly took that stone from the box and put it inside the spatial ring, then started to demonstrate towards others.

"It's mithril! We will auction that and share the money after we got out from here."

Both nodded at him because they didn't own any spatial ring to stores things safely. Umi, who kept her mouth shut the whole time, suddenly spoke.

"Mama! I saw a big sis waving towards me from that place." While saying, Umi pointed her finger towards their left side. All of them halted their movement and quickly gazed towards that direction. They never felt anyone's presence the whole time, which caused them extra vigilant. They saw a path that appeared in that direction, but no one was there.

"What should we do?" Nicolaus asked while Abium already advanced to check what was in there. Abium instincts were informing him something was wrong inside this underground cave.

No! He believed this place might not be that demi-plane anymore. He sensed mana density was much less compared to the outside world and on the first island when they teleported here. He also felt the air was so impure and corrupted by some energy.

The underground mine appears to be a large area, and they couldn't find any girl inside that tunnel after wasting half an hour. Abium quickly told them to rest for a few hours, and they would continue investigating. He guessed Umi might be imagining things, or she saw half asleep. Soon they found a secured place inside that underground to sleep.

Abium found a safe place to meditate because he felt he need to improve his strength much faster; otherwise, he won't be able to survive in this unknown area. He soon found himself back in that empty void and noticed not any single cloud appeared inside. He felt he encircled by complete darkness and only saw his spirit form and that red chain.

Still, Abium didn't want to give up and tried to search the whole area nearby and found nothing. While he thought of giving up, a red mist appeared on his vision. He immediately dashed forward, and after a few minutes, he stood in front of that red cloud.

Without him knowing, a desire well up inside his body, and he went to absorb that red mist. But a feeling of crisis immediately warned him not to consume that thing. Abium always does what his senses say, so without hesitation, he moved away and woke up from the meditation.

He didn't understand what was happening, and he couldn't even grasp what that red cloud was? Now he realized why Azolla told him to attend the mage academy. Abium opened his eyes slowly and noticed others already woke up and waited for him.

He stood up and scanned the surroundings to see anything abnormal and found nothing. Then he found his spirit scanning distance also decreased than before. With his scan function, now he was able to only scan up to 100 meters. It made him so frustrated and confused.

'd.a.m.n! There is something wrong with this place.'

Abium a.n.a.lyzed the mana in the atmosphere. Finally, after a few seconds, he also concluded if he needs to recover the mana sufficiently, it might take hours.

"What happened? You seem to in daze for a while, Lad!" Fennelis's voice woke him from the daze, and Abium thought of telling them might be the right choice.

"This place does not appear to be the same as that level 1 island. I felt the mana inside this place was very less while compared with the outside world. There is also some other energy that appears denser in the surrounding atmosphere."

"Maybe we are already outside that pocket dimension? But where are we anyway?"

Nicolaus asked in a puzzled tone and suddenly froze on the spot. Abium and Fennelis stopped their track and followed his gaze. There they noticed a small girl sat on the rock and appeared to be humming.

The outer appearance of that girl was silvery hair and kitten ears. From a single glance, everyone identified she was a cat tribe beast kin. What caught their attention most was she wore a greenish-blue gown made of soft, satiny fabric, long and loose. Abium also noticed she was holding a flute on her right hand.

Abium thought something was odd about her appearance here in this situation. He quickly stepped forward to take a clear view of her while others followed him behind stealthily and kept their sword on their hand. But once Abium saw her face, startled expression appeared on his face.

'Why is she appear here in this demi-plane? H-How?' A puzzle appeared on his head. He never imagined he would meet her in his life.

"Hey, Big brother! Why are you staring at me like that? Do you like me that much?" A childish voice appeared out from her mouth while Nicolaus, who arrived behind him, commented.

"Brat! You are too early to speak like that! What the h.e.l.l are you doing alone in this place? Are you lost?"

Blue veins popped out on Abium's head when he overheard Nicolaus's comment.

'W-What!? The h.e.l.l! Are you that much eager to die?' Abium cursed at Nicolaus in his mind then didn't waste any longer and quickly bowed in front of her and addressed in a nervous tone.

"P-Please pardon my friend's discourteous speech, Divine one! He didn't know much about who you are!"

"Oh? I never imagined someone still recognizes my appearance. It's nice to meet you, Abium, a mortal with an unknown destiny."

"It's an honor to meet you, Divine one!"

Abium nearly prostrated on the ground while Nicolaus and Fennelis dumbly stared at the girl and Abium repeatedly for a while, and after a long pause, Fennelis uttered in disbelief.

"D-Divine O-One? Are you were saying she is a G.o.ddess?"

"Well, a minor one, though! I will introduce myself formally. My name is Nyara, G.o.ddess of tricks."

"G-G.o.ddess of tricks?"

Both Fennelis and Nicolaus instantly felt they were hit by misfortune and followed Abium's action. The only person who stood there was G.o.ddess Nyara and Umi. Nyara stepped towards Umi, suddenly a mysterious...o...b..flew from Nyara's hand and a.s.similated into Umi's body.

"I will bestow you my mark, little sis. You have my blessing, and in the future, I will contact you through the mark. Okay?"

Umi suddenly terrified of the new big sister and repeatedly nodded her head. Abium also wondered at her action and also same time felt relieved inside his mind. If it were Light G.o.d or any other G.o.ds except mother G.o.ddess, Abium knew he and others wouldn't be able to live for the next day.

Although it was annoying to be played by this G.o.ddess, she won't harm anyone and didn't seems to hold any malice thought towards Umi. Well, mostly because she was the child of the mother G.o.ddess. But to grant a blessing to Umi means there would be more secrets to it.

"Okay! Cheer up, everyone. Don't be afraid of me. Nowadays, I never played any pranks on anyone."

Slowly all of them stand up and nervously stood there in front of G.o.ddess Nyara. Abium rolled his eyes towards her statement because he knew she was already doing that and silently pondered how she found out about him. But soon, he shook those thoughts away. G.o.ddess Nyara s.h.i.+fted her gaze from Umi towards Abium and continued.

"Your actions caused a lot of variances in the future, and Destiny G.o.ddess already enraged about that. That Light G.o.d's followers already notified your presence to the Holy See. Well! We G.o.ds won't be able to take actions directly inside the Maternal world, but that doesn't mean their followers won't. Anyways, other G.o.ds will soon notice something changing the future, and everyone will come after you. Ha! I can only give you a warning, and I abstained from supporting any mortals."

When Abium heard that, he chuckled inside.

'She seems to be also unaware of the waves and seals. Shall I warn her?' He thought of what would happen in the five months. How would he not guess about G.o.ds would be able to notice the changes in the future? Because he knew they wouldn't have any time to mind about him because once the first wave starts in two months. All the G.o.ds would lose their control over the future, and the new unknown timeline would appear.

It was the origin of the chaos era. What Abium never antic.i.p.ated was how G.o.ddess of tricks able to find about him even before the G.o.ddess of destiny?

"Fufufu, Don't be puzzled. I already know when you entered the star tower in the forgotten lands. Don't forget; I am one of the chief G.o.ds of the royal elven family! Also, I am your guardian, Humph! You a.s.sumed that was an ordinary statue? It's one of the few statues I placed in those forgotten lands to keep in check everything."

'Wow! As expected of the cat tribe. She is stalking me the whole time!' A few drops of sweats appeared on his head and clumsily scratched his head and bowed once again.

"Thank you for your guidance, my lady."

"Don't thank me yet. Light G.o.d and my mom will find out about you soon. What will you do? Do you need any help from this little sister?"

Abium stood there motionlessly without moving an inch and silently listened to her speech.

" Still, I never imagined a gateway to demi-plane of an ancient mage appeared in that remote area. How did you know that?"

He learned about those mages from the book. But the Ancient war forced them to disappeared from the continent.

"My lady! I heard about that when I was working in Viscount Gauvain's mansion."

G.o.ddess Nyara nodded her head while Nicolaus thought of something and asked her in a hurried tone.

"My lady! Where are we now?"

"Hey! Don't interrupt my talking, fool. Humph, Huh! I thought it was too easy mission before, so I transfer all of you here to this low tier undead plane. Stay alive until I come back."

Once she announced those words, the G.o.ddess figure disappeared from the place, leaving others inside that abandoned cave.

"Phew! As expected of the G.o.ddess of tricks. She brought us to some unknown place and left us here. What a good habit!"

A low murmur arose from Nicolaus's mouth, and everyone sighed in unison.

"But I pity you, Big brother! You have a stroke of bad luck to be stalked by the G.o.ddess of tricks all the time."

Suddenly Umi walked closer towards her mother and said.

"Mama! That big sis gave me this."

She spoke and took out a pure black gem from her pocket. Abium inspected and immediately found details about those crystals.

"Nether crystals! It appears to be gems only found in undead planes, and it contains pure nether energy, which will attract undead creatures towards them! "

"f.u.c.k! Umi throws away that thing. Let's get away from here!"

Fennelis spoke in an alarm tone and took that Nether crystal to throw away, but Abium blocked her and shook his head.

'Well, I antic.i.p.ated that the G.o.ddess would do something like this. First, we need to escape from here. d.a.m.n, she didn't even mention when she will come back.'

Abium once again sighed and spoke.

"They are already here! Give me that crystal; I will store that inside the spatial ring."

After he put it inside his ring, everyone began running towards the tunnel on the opposite side from the place where undead soldiers were chasing.

After a few minutes of their walk, they discovered that the tunnel split into three directions. Abium and others chose a random path and advanced hastily.
