He learned that Jack had gone reclusive for a long time after his last expedition underwater. According to Read, Jack had a terrifying ability to swim to frighteningly deep depths, which Tristan understood to be a consequence of the [Howling Pearl]. In his final expedition underground, he had discovered a saber which he then brought back.
This saber, Jack had said to Read, was a key. Since obtaining the saber, Calico Jack had been frequenting the Fifth Extension, a dangerous stretch of deep ocean on the borders of the Kraken's territory that all the pirates avoided like the plague.
In the Fifth Extension, Jack had an encounter with the Kraken and had then disappeared. This was when some rumors had begun floating that the Kraken had killed Calico Jack. However, Anne Read and second mate Bonny had ensured that the pirates remained together for several years yet the influence of the Pirate King began to dwindle as other Kings began to encroach on his territory.
In this period, Jack's s.h.i.+p the Blind Night, made a sudden appearance and Jack briefly revealed himself to be at the peak of the third realm, preparing to prepare for the fourth realm of Pirate Arts. This had caused huge waves in the Pirate World. He had a battle with the Dutchman and had beaten him for encroaching Jack's territory.
This news also shocked Tristan. He realized that this meant that the other three pirate kings were at best at the peak of the third realm. The Pirate Arts were the native practice of the Pirate World, a kind of water control art.
If the Pirate Kings were at the peak of the third realm, Tristan had a chance of resisting them. He was curious about Jack's obsession with the fifth section. Tristan was in possession of the saber amd Jack said that is was a key.

Could there be an underwater ruin in the Pirate World which was guarded by the Kraken? Perhaps, when he fought with the Kraken, Jack was rebounded by the curse and had to go in hiding. However, he probably was forced to somehow break through to the fourth realm to survive the curse for a longer period of time.
Tristan now had a better grasp of the situation. He decided to quietly go to the fifth section and explore. He had an advantage that Jack did not have, and that was stealth.
Tristan quietly took the repurposed Blind Night alone and led the s.h.i.+p quietly through the seas into the darkness. With the Poseidon's Trident, Tristan had controlled the seas to be extremely calm around him and choppy a bit further away from his s.h.i.+p's domain, to keep away eyes. A couple of days later, he had reached the boundaries of the fifth section.
There he could feel an ominous presence, the moment he neared the fifth section. Tristan took back the [Blind Night] s.h.i.+p into his storage in small form and then took out the [Howling Pearl] and slowly swam to the depths, eliminating his presence almost completely.
However, the moment he entered the fifth section underwater, Tristan heard a loud howl and an extremely gigantic tentacled monster's shadow had covered him. Tristan went absolutely still, attempting to act like a drowning piece of metal slowly sinking. The Kraken ignored him and went swimming to another area.
Tristan slowly proceeded deeper into the ocean. He swam for a few days on end. Every other day the Kraken would arrive in his vicinity, having suspicions about a hidden presence in the area. But it couldn't find anything and would swim away again.
Just being in the vicinity of the beast was terrifying for Tristan. The Kraken was overflowing with a vitality resembling the Singularity Mammoth, just the vitality would create an incredible pressure on living beings near it.
However, Tristan had a peculiar feeling like the Kraken wasn't as powerful as the Singularity Mammoth, or else there was no way Calico jack could have taken blood essence from this creature.
As Tristan slowly swam deeper, he discovered a trench which was extremely dark. It was impossible to approximate its depth. Tristan suspected that whatever Calico Jack was looking for, was in this trench.
Tristan made his way, deeper and deeper. The pressure of the sea was rapidly increasing, but with his physical body and crazy tempering from the Pressure Stairway, Tristan didn't feel too pressured.
Tristan ventured deeper and deeper into the Trench until he finally found what could only be described as an underground building. The building seemed to be made of some black material that looked like marble, but when Tristan touched it, he felt a corrosive effect from the material. However his 35% corrosion resistance negated the effect.
Tristan quietly swam down to the bottom of the building, where there was a door with an airlock like structure, probably to not let the water in. Tristan looked at the building and had a suspicious look on his face.
"Why does this structure look like a futuristic human habitation model?" Tristan wondered to himself.
On the door, he saw a slot like slit and understood its purpose. "Looks like the sword goes into this."
Tristan took out the [Broken Corsair] from his storage, the ceremonial saber he had acquired from Calico Jack's storage ring, back in the Cursed Blood Sect Secret Realm. He slowly inserted the saber into the slot on the door. Once it completely entered, Tristan could feel a click and white veins began to glow over the black metallic structure, Tristan heard a clicking sound in the water, as did the Kraken. The Kraken immediately rushed towards the depths of the trench, but the door had already opened and Tristan was rapidly sucked inside the structure. The Kraken thrashed about for some time and then returned in anger to upper parts of the Fifth Section.
