On an uninhabited island in the Pirate World, Tristan appeared from inside a cave. He didn't know where he was, but he wasn't worried. He had seen two treasures that would help him.

[Neptune's Navigator] was a compa.s.s which directed to whichever direction the heart wanted to go. This was a famous pirate treasure and Tristan had read about it.

[Blind Night] was actually a tiny s.h.i.+p model inside the s.p.a.ce ring. Tristan dropped a drop of blood on both objects and felt an immediate connection with the two.

Suddenly Blind Night turned into a large s.h.i.+p and crashed into the ocean. Tristan jumped aboard. Once he connected with the s.h.i.+p, he simply had to will it and the s.h.i.+p began moving on it's own. The compa.s.s guided him to "The Moving Castle", the island which acts as a base of humans in the Pirate World.

Tristan's travel to Moving Castle was uneventful, because any pirate who saw the Blind Night would run away in fear. Calico Jack's personal s.h.i.+p!

On the s.h.i.+p Tristan looked at the various treasure items he had acquired from the Pirate.

Several bottles of Liquefied Life Essence cheered him up immediately. There were also fifty or so pure energy stones. Other than that, there were a few items recognized by the system.

[Howling Pearl] seemed to be a treasure that allowed a person to breathe indefinitely underwater as well as move freely.

[Nightingale in a Bottle] was a s.h.i.+p in a bottle. Its use was unknown.

[Broken Corsair] was a ceremonial sabre. Its real use was unknown as well.

[Dutchman's Pipe] was a flute. However, there was no information on how to use it.

After a day, with the crazy speeds of the Black Night, Tristan arrived at the human base. Near the base, Tristan takes in the s.h.i.+p and compa.s.s into storage and uses the pearl to swim to the human base. After verifying his ident.i.ty, Tristan makes his way through a series of portals and quickly returns to Coastal City, heading home.

Once home, he calls Heavy Matter.

"What did you do? The Cursed Blood Sect has gone crazy." Heavy Matter asked.

"I've sent you a detailed report. The Sect is actually aligned with several elders of the Alchemist's Cauldron, so do not pa.s.s them any message. Raid all their bases, they have lost their power." Tristan said, before going to finally rest.

As he lay on the Sofa, Mom asked him. "Where have you been? It's been three weeks and no news from you? University begins in a week."

"I know mom. I had gone travelling. I'm tired, let me rest."

"Kids these days...." Mom began nagging.

Tristan ignored it and fell asleep. When he got up an entire day had pa.s.sed. He saw he had a huge number of missed calls on his White Star contact from Heavy Matter and other unknown numbers.

He first called Heavy Matter. "What happened?"

Heavy Matter sighed. "Where have you been?"

"I was busy, what happened?"

"Well, I wanted to call you for a meeting of the guilds sans Alchemists, but you were responding." Heavy Matter said.

"Alright. Is the meeting done?" Tristan asked, yawning.

"Haven't you checked the news? Big news has broken out."

"Let me check." Tristan said as he cut the call. He turned on the television.

"The Cursed Blood Sect which attempted a terrorist attack on Coastal City was completely uprooted from the ground. All members arrested, all bases have been destroyed." Tristan nodded.

He looked up the news on Vast Expanse's forum. The forum had blown up as well. What wasn't on the news was mentioned here. The complicity of Alchemists's Cauldron, arrests and the Guild having to make major concessions as well as many elders were hunted and killed.

Cursed Blood Sect was suddenly attacked along with the Alchemist's Cauldron. The Cursed Blood Secret World was invaded. It was easy because the sect was in chaos since their powers stopped working. However no news about the leader or its purpose. The palace was still s.h.i.+elded.

The next day White Star attended a meeting with the five organizations and provided the data collected from the Sect. He also gave the details about the Holy Lord as well as why the cultivation method stopped working. He explained that Calico Jack died from a rebound of his curse and avoided mentioning anything about himself.

With this mission White Star was officially a level 10 member of the Vast Expanse.

Back at home, Tristan lazed on his sofa. He thought for a moment and took out the Matrioshka egg. The egg was attaching itself to him like a glue. Tristan took out the [Matrioshka's Stolen Energy Fragment] and touched it to the egg. Suddenly the fragment was absorbed by the egg and it let out an aura of being comforted.

Then without any notice, a sudden wind blade came out of the egg and cut his finger. The Blood dropped onto the egg and was absorbed. Immediately, Tristan felt like he had a bond with the egg and could feel the feelings of whatever was inside.

He could feel it thanking him for feeding it just now and smiled a bit. Emily was right, this thing is quite innocent.

There was one week to go before University began. Tristan filled up the doc.u.mentation and started moving his things to the dorm. It was a single dorm room, so he had no issues with privacy. In the university, he decided to take a stroll of the campus.
