Tristan finally felt like he had become much stronger again. Later he went home. He was now free of any responsibilities for a month. He had the opportunity to visit the Beast blood clan and use their training array, but he left it for later.
He decided to spend the remaining month at home, not get into any more messy situations. He spent a whole week sleeping and lazing at home.
Mom got irritated. "What are you doing lazing on the sofa the whole day?"
"I'm tired mom, I want to rest until University begins." Tristan grumbled.
"Tired? Stop acting like an old man. You are just 18. Go out and have fun." Mom nagged him.
Tristan turned a deaf ear and fell asleep. Later in the day a visitor came to the house. Tristan kept sleeping and his mom opened the door.
"h.e.l.lo Ma'am, is Tristan at home?" A young man asked.
"Yes, he is right here. Lazing around." She pointed at the sleeping hod on the sofa. Tristan heard her and got up, groggy eyes.
"Hey Tristan." The young man said.
"Oh, Hey Chris." Tristan said. This guy was a cla.s.smate of his from school. Chris came into the house and sat on a seat on Mom's invitation.
"Tristan I heard you got into Eastern University. Congratulations!" Chris said.
"Thank you Chris. What about you? What are your plans after school?" Tristan asked.
"I am thinking of joining my family's business." Chris said. "I came today, to invite you to the school reunion taking place day after tomorrow. I didn't have your contact number, so I directly came to your place."
"Oh, sure. I'll be there. Where is going to be held?" Tristan asked. He didn't mind having some fun.
"It will be held at my house." Chris said as he looked around. "Your sister isn't home?"
Tristan raised an eye but didn't say anything. "No, she is at university. Your house.. is it the huge mansion beside the school?" Tristan asked.
"Cough... yes that one." Chris nodded. "By the way you can bring a plus one with you." Chris said while blus.h.i.+ng.
Tristan was dumbfounded. Was this guy interested in his sister or something?
"If you want to invite my sister just invite her directly. I won't bring her as a plus one." Tristan yawned.
Chris blushed and coughed. "This..."
Tristan shook his head and called his sister. "Hey sister, there is a high school reunion of my cla.s.s, one of my friends, Chris, is inviting you. Do you want to come along?"
"Oh Chris. I know him, he chats with me often." The voice on the other line said. "Give him the phone."
Tristan handed Chris the phone. Chris looked thoroughly embarra.s.sed.
Two days later, Tristan came to the School Reunion party at Chris's mansion. He brought his sister as a plus one. The two entered the ballroom prepared for the reunion.
"This guy is quite rich." Tristan hummed. Joanna, who had learned that Tristan had a couple of billion dollars lying in his account rolled her eyes. "Oh really?"
"I'm a poor man now, used up a lot of my treasures. I might have to sell some fruits again." Tristan mumbled.
"Hey, isn't that Tristan? He seems to have changed a lot." Some people were gossiping. "Yeah, he used to be very quiet, but seems quite confident now. Is it because he got into Eastern University?"
Tristan could hear what these people were saying, but ignored them. He went to the bar, to have a drink. Joanna was mingling with other people, Tristan didn't have patience for that kind of stuff, he came here to take a break and have some delicious food and drink.
At that time a man sat beside him. He looked fairly older than the reunion age group. Tristan looked at the man and felt a slight threat which told him this man was someone who fought. The man also noticed Tristan's momentary gaze and their eyes met for an instant, but Tristan just looked at his drink instead.
The man felt a chill on his back. He was a warrior of the hidden world who was here as a guard from one of the young people at the party. He didn't expect one of the partic.i.p.ants of the reunion would give him such a feeling. When he stared at him again, the young man felt quite ordinary, if somewhat confident in his bearing and demeanor. Perhaps it was just his illusion.
