(Qin Zetian's POV)
I attempted to get out of the bed and run as far as I could from him but it was useless. A little movement of my leg made me fell back on the bed. Then I curled into a ball, and bit hard on the bed's sheets as pain shot through. He reached for my leg and settled it back.

"Straighten your body when you lay down and lessen your movements. Your foot is almost broken and it will be impossible to heal if you continue to force it up" he grunted
"Can you provide medical tools for me?" I asked him
"Okay"
"Thanks"
In a snap of his hand a man entered with a box.
"Lay them down" he said
Then the unknown man laid the materials one by one. He was fast enough to finish everything without burning half of the incense sticks.
"Can you leave me for a while?"
"Is this how you're going to end your life?"
"I'm not stupid"
"Okay I'll wait outside"
"Thanks, I'll call you whenever. Your majesty, without my call please do not let anyone get in. Whatever you hear will be treated like nothing. Promise me"
He sighed
"Okay"
Then he left the room.
I slowly pulled myself up.
I undid the bandage on my foot slowly and as careful as possible. Then I positioned myself in a comfortable manner. In this era anesthesia isn't widely known or perhaps some did not even know it existed.
First I reached for garlic and cats claw as I need to make an alternative pain killer, or else I won't even dream of conducting an operation. Everything that I have is herbal, I just need to remember what I did the last time I was injured in a forest when I went to war.
It did not take long for me to concoct the alternative pain killer.
After that I prepared the ingredients for an anesthesia made from herbal anesthetic plants. I have here; Coca, Clove and Cinchona. I also have Spilanthes for local anesthetic effect and Valerian herbs for general anesthetic effect. And then I will need a higher dosage of anesthesia to subdue the pain that I will feel later.
Then I will alter some of the ingredients so it will keep me awake when I start the operation.
The holes of my foot are turning purple and some are reddish-yellow. What's good is that the natural pus is present so that indicates that my cells are normally functioning.
I checked the deepness of the holes and luckily it's not as deep as seeing the tendons connected on my bones. I was poisoned as I remembered, but luckily everything is clean aside from the wounds.
I used hot water mixed with an alternative borax, lemon juice and an extract from Melaleuca alternifolia.
This will be my herbal disinfectant. Before I touch my foot I will need to apply some of this.
When I was done creating the tonic, I used soft cotton like b.a.l.l.s and dampened it on the mixture of anesthetic. Then I touched my foot and inspected the wounds thoroughly.
