The topics kept on flowing out of nowhere. We kissed in between talks. Those silver eyes do things to me that I can't even explain. I felt like he'd disappear suddenly if I blinked twice, so I kept my eyes on him.
I couldn't hold back my yawns anymore at 3am or so. I fell asleep peacefully in his embrace. Knowing his warmth wouldn't be here for a week made my heart feel lonely.
'When did his presence grow on me to this extent? How did it happen?' Those two questions kept rotating in my mind. I wanted to close my eyes and wake up a week after. He wasn't gone yet, but I missed him, I missed him dearly.
I saw him off to the door. If I could, I'd lock myself in a suitcase and be his extra luggage.
'I must have gone crazy,' I thought to myself, shaking my head at my ridiculousness.
"Text me when you get settled in."
"Sure thing darl." This time he kissed me lightly before walking out the door with his suitcase.
After getting ready for the day, I sent a message to Claudia to check on her. She replied with a picture of her, having a salad feast with a sad face. I chuckled out loud at how fragile she became after getting pregnant... the Justin effect.
You know that feeling, when you're in a math cla.s.s at 8am and it felt like an hour had pa.s.sed, but you look at the time. 8:15am?
There are 24 hours in a day, but it felt like 48 for me.
My phone dinged at that moment.
"Summer, I got a birthday invite from Beatrice. I'll tell you about later."
"Take care of yourself for me babe *kiss*."
My face that had darkened when I saw the first message lit up immediately when I read the second one.

I attended cla.s.s like usually and worked on my paper after. Queen came over in the evening, and we went on our movie date like we've done diligently since the day we met. We were supposed to meet up during the weekend. Knowing she wanted to keep me company, I felt extra warm inside.
Quincy's call came in around 2am, and boy was I glad.
"Miss me?"
"Like crazy," I said as my spirit came back to me.
"Same here babe." He had on his usually lazy and relaxed look, and G.o.d was he perfect.
Our conversation went on for another 30minutes or thereabout. I felt better after talking to him, and sleep came naturally to me thereafter.
